Times are dark. The streets are rife with crime. Theft, assault, and even murder are becoming social norms across the world. But the quiet town of Salem has been blessed with peace and prosperity for decades. As townsfolk of Salem, you have enjoyed a quiet life free of such crime, living among one another without fear or suspicion. Until now.
Far away in a distant city, an old man with darkness in his heart sits on a throne forged of fear, corruption, and death. To his Family, his word is law, and now that word is
Salem. He wants the town in the cup of his hands, and he means to have it. Their name is whispered in the night, echoing from the mouths of alleyways.
La Famiglia. They have come to your home. They have taken the place of your neighbours, your friends, that homeless guy on the corner of the street you always gave change to. They are everywhere, and they are strong.
But they are not alone. Something else prowls the streets. Something dark and terrible, something more malicious than anything
La Famiglia can dream up. Each will battle for control of Salem, but for different purposes. One faction wants control, and is fuelled by greed and wretched gluttony. The other will see the town in flames, their only desire to see blood in the streets and ash in the air.
But time and luck are still on the town's side, and it can still pull through. Many have already been killed, and many more will still die, but there is still hope.
There is always hope.
