I think he means that there was no way to tell when someone has replied to you. While not directly possible, you can subscribe to threads so you know when they've been posted in and go check on them. I believe you can have your settings so that you are automatically subscribed to any thread you make a post in.

But I do not use this feature, so I'm not exactly sure how to implement it. Hunt around in your user CP and you may find it.

I think, but am not sure, that when we upgrade to vB4 soon, we'll be able to see "who quoted me". (someone verify/refute this?)

Re: Community Thread XXVI: Happy birthday Flueworks!

On Friday a conductor from Beijing compared me to Gabriel and also having powers over the rain.

Then we talked about Chinese poetry for like 2 seconds.

yesterday was my friend's (whom I've known since 1991) birthday. We had a reserved party lounge in this club downtown and there shot girls and loud music. and nobody gave a damn that I was rolling on the table. it's a weird night when nobody wants to smoke my weeds actually. oh and this one girl was hanging out with us who is apparently a fashion designer in chicaga for several metal bands. I forgot her name though

also: i'm out of eyedrops =/

That's exactly what I meant, thank you.
Completely hillarious that you have to subscribe to EVERY thread you have written in and check them on a regular basis to know if anyone replied!

I don't have a problem with the system. And anyway, I may happen to run across a post I really want to reply to, even if that post did not address me directly (such as what I'm doing now).

Whatever floats your boat, but I'm used to this very basic function

Re: Community Thread XXVI: Happy birthday Flueworks!

it's not much of a hassle at all considering that thread subscription is automatic by default, I believe (I don't recall ever setting it, at least) and certainly you would want to read new posts in a thread you posted in (if you posted in a thread then it's probably on a topic that interests you) even if they aren't direct replies to you.

I really wish people wouldn't act like a dick to total strangers on the internet then make lame excuses in order to justify their pathetic existence.
It's the damn internet. Get a real life with real friends who care. Oh woops, you're too much of a dick to have real friends, because everyone hates an egotystical loser.

Yay I feel better!

I went to a show last night and the cellist needed an extra a-string so I gave him seven. ^_^

I feel so helpful and needed.

Yeah; I love the feeling that you get when you just happen to have what someone else needs.

Hi ZU!
I was totally feeling like this yesterday when I was playing WoW. Some of the worst trolls there. The game was glitching in the battlegrounds and I asked for help and I got attacked. Whoops.

I wonder if those people cry themselves to sleep at night knowing they're a horrible person. Part of me hopes they do. Does that make ME a horrible person? (Yeah really no need to chat about this in the CT, I was just venting earlier)...

They are probably nice people IRL, just letting out frustrations on the Internets.

Anyway, I never come in here. I thought I would try it out.

Find the house of someone you really despise. And hope they don't see you ruining their house.
