let me explain. not only am i being hip by avoiding convention (AKA, the crowd, the general idea of dressing up to a concert, being with friends at a social setting, and WATCHING THE ****ING BAND PLAYING), but i'm wearing a local natives t-shirt.

the band playing was foals.

2 indie hip bands, ironically supporting 1 while watching the other. it's hip to discourage bands playing on stage.

To summarize this past week's adventures, I not only got the truck fixed up and on the road, but the rv-truck project is now in a "usable" state:









The door is actually a dutch door, so I can open the top half without having to drop the tailgate. The window came out of a junk camper. The top of the bed is all on hinges, and lifts up for storage underneath.

I want to get some curtains and a rug in there, but I'm quite proud of how well this thing has come along. It needs a small countertop over the exposed wheel well for a small propane cookstove, and a little roof vent would be nice too...

Strabismus: My mother has a photo like that taken from a friend's camera out the window of a plane. Pretty cool stuff--I wonder how common those angel clouds are.

I dunno. I've only seen this one.

It was taken using a polaroid camera. then scanned into my old PC. hopped onto a thumb drive and ended up in photobucket just the other day. So, yea I'm pretty sure it wasn't photoshopped.

I run all of my server needs through the Rackspace Cloud's two datacenters in Dallas and Chicago. Saves me a lot of space; all I need to carry is a laptop with an SSH client and I'm golden.

I love the little Pokemon (Bulbasaur?) hanging from the ceiling. xD

Bulbasaur is the pro-est and only acceptable Pokemon to have hanging from one's ceiling.

I've had a haircut since then. And I'm angry because it was 2 in the morning and I couldn't sleep.

looks like a cold place to sleep Capn.

I used to do subzero camping, in the snow, when I was twelve. The back of a truck is exponentially more comfortable.

The sleeping bag and all that bedding is actually quite warm. I woke up last night sweating it was getting so hot in the bag.

So today notsil brought this home. He found it in a construction yard by the base he works at.
His name is Smatchimo the Trumpeteer.

If you don't mind me saying so, the makeup doesn't suit you at all. It's bizarre seeing you in it, you look much better without it. (EDIT: I really don't mean that in an insulting way, honest)
But the dress you picked up looks great!
