"So what's this forum for?" You may ask...
The short answer is that this forum is to bring people together from all around
ZU. It's easy to get stuck in our favorite corners of the forums, but here you can come together with your fellow ZUers to share pictures, important personal news and announcements, participate in collaborative projects, pat your fellow forum members on the back with the Forum Awards, and even arrange meetups with other ZUers in your area.
Important Stuff About This Forum The Community Thread: A thread to wish people happy birthday, announce post count milestones, talk about important life happenings both good and bad. Dog died? Tell us here. Graduated? Celebrate here! Going on vacation? Notify us here. Ate a peanut butter sandwich today? Nobody cares, go away. Hopefully you get the point.

Podcast: Discuss the ZUCast in the
Discussion and Feedback thread! That's where we release new episodes (in addition to releasing them on the main site). There are, and will be, other podcast and ZUBC-related threads in this forum as well, such as the release thread for
"La Radionovela de los Zelda: Pasión de Otaku!" (Ages 16+) Meetups: Many folks have even gone so far as to arrange meetups with members who live in their region of the world. If you are thinking about planning a meetup, please read heed these guidelines:
- Please make sure with mom/dad/guardian that you're allowed to.
- Meetups should take place in a public location such as a park, restaurant, convention, mall, beach, etc etc...
- Optimally, they should be held in a location that's easy to get to and not out in the boondocks somewhere. Easy interstate/highway access is best.
- Make sure no other meetups are currently being planned for your area
- Please be willing to take charge as far as planning goes. Don't just say "Hey guys, wanna meet up?" Then abandon the thread expecting someone else to make it happen!
Awards: Each Summer and Winter, the
ZU forum awards take place. There are 4 phases. Phase one is the suggestion phase, in which we discuss the categories to give awards in. Categories can include best signature, coolest member, best theorist, best artist, etc...There are a few returning categories, and a few new ones each time. The second phase is the nomination phase. Third, it's the voting phase. Lastly, the results are tallied and the winners receive a cool medal in their profile and a banner for their sig.
Community Projects: Lastly, there are community projects. There are currently a few projects going on right now, and those are explained below.
About the Community Coordinators: People who are part of the leadership and planning for projects are known as "Community Coordinators," and they get an orange banner. They only hold the position and banner for as long as they are involved in the project, unlike a mod, admin, or site staffer who always have the title and banner.
