The Master Timeline is an idea that has been brewing in my head for over two years (there's actually a lame teaser trailer on my youtube channel from 2 years ago in which I stated there were plans for a full trailer, but only recently did I start to really define the original idea and make something concrete of it.
The Master Timeline takes place in a world where Theorizing has run amok, turning society into a dark place where people kill over ideas about the timeline. Hombre thinks this has gone too far and plans to save mankind from a horribly destiny before it's too late. To do this, he needs to find the Master Timeline which is the one thing that can make the worlds' theorists stop fighting over the timeline. The Master Timeline is like the wholy grail of this world, a mythical treasure hidden somewhere in the world, if it even exists.
On his journey, Hombre encounters many foes such as Bitterlime, Tuf Pic and Smallville Boy that he must overcome. He also learns that the people he thought of as his friends will turn on him along the way as his search draws him closer to the truth.
I had a lot of fun making this trailer. I took inspiration from my previous cartoons and I wanted the live-action characters to resemble their cartoon counterparts (I also decided to put the cartoon versions on my phone as display pictures, as a homage). It was a lot of fun trying to figure out how to best portray Bitterlime's head, and then i decided to just go with toilet paper
As you may expect, this is heavily based in my previous cartoons, many of the same characters are featured etc and if you haven't seen those, you may not get all the little jokes in this trailer. It's not aimed to be comedic trailer, but I still wanted to keep some of the same style of humor in there.
With all that said, will this ever become more than a trailer? I don't know. I first thought there was no way because at first, the trailer contained many locations from other countries I visisted, such as the US, France and Austria. I felt like it wouldn't be a good idea to make more than this becaue I couldn't just go back to those locations and film again, so it'd be like robbing people of something they expect to see, and I really hate that.
However, as I made the trailer more story-oriented, all that changed and I certainy see a possibility to make this into a few short youtube episodes. I don't have a lot of finances to spend on it (in fact all I had to buy for this trailer was the sombrero for Smallville Boy) or a lot of time either for that matter. So if anything, it's gonna be something small and easy kind of like what's already shown in this trailer. But as I said, I'm not sure. I'll see what happens this fall in terms of school and work and so on, and see if there's any demand from the people here at ZU. I also want to thank Aniday for lending me his voice as the narrator
I hope you like this little project of mine and I appriciate any and all feedback. Oh yeah, and here's the trailer already:
That was really good Hombre. Although the fighting scene was a little sloppy, most of it was really good with just you being all of the characters. I think someone mentioned this in the thread in the Theorizing Section, but putting in the item jingle would have made it funnier. What do you use for editing? It seemed like just plain Windows Movie Maker since the extent of editing was cutting and putting some music and the voice over in when you were on the phone.
I hope you continue this, it made me laugh quite a bit.
I wouldn't call it sloppy, but it's not overly dramatic or awesome, it's just the classic "tug-o-war" part. I couldn't really do anything better on my own, as you said

I actually did add the item fanfare. Listen again
And while the editing seem pretty basic, there was a lot of stuff done to adjust volume, playback speed etc that can't be done with crappy Movie Maker. I've been using Corel VideoStudio for all my Theorizing stuff, but I'm making a switch to Adobe Premiere. I also used Audacity for editing the phone recordings.

Don't know how I missed that

It's kinda hard to tell that you were using that on the first watch, but I can kinda tell where you wouldn't be able to use WMM.
I wonder if the sequel will be the quest for the Mario Timeline. There are over 200 games that star mario and his friends/foes, but nobody know the true order. they go through.
^Well as I said in the OP, I don't have any plans at all atm, so... anything can happen. However, if I do decide to make a few episodes, every characters seen in the trailer will appear in the same form at least, meaning that bitterlime, table and SVB would appear in real life. humulos, Erimgard, Tuf Pic and LoZ historian would appear as phone bits at the very least. This is because I don't want to put something in the trailer that won't appear in the (hypothetical) episodes themselves, except for minor things like locations that I can't go back to in the near future, like the cave or the prison cell (yeah that was a prison cell).
Excelente, you got me interested, and I'm not even a theorist (not a "public" one at least.).
Can't you just ignore the locations in the trailer and just use new ones? I don't think it should be THAT hard to find similar places, it would be interesting to see episodes of this.
That fighting scene was lame, but in a kind of good way.
^ Well as I said, most locations in this trailer are adjacent so it wouldn't be much of a problem, it was moreso the earlier stages of the trailer that had a lot more locations and a lot less plot.
