So as many of you know I recently went on a two week trip to mid-western Canada for my cousin's graduation. Well the pictures from that have finally been downloaded to my computer, and uploaded to photobucket. Here is my story.
So when I first arrived at my cousins' house in Edmonton, I was shown to my room. One of them had constructed it around the bed in the basement by duct taping sheet to the roof. I felt very proud and loved the room!

I just hung out with them for the first couple days. On the day of the grad Lauren had to go get her hair and everything done, so my uncle took the rest of us to the West Edmonton Mall. We spent most of the time there in the theme park.
http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/k...20West/580.jpg I love Time Crisis II... Roller coaster... two people died on that coaster.
130 feet is insane.
The grad was pretty fun (apart from having to sit throguh
every person

). They had a really great dinner buffet.

I was a super proud cousin. And since I didn't actually attend my graduation I got a picture for my mom of my in the hat

.
Even my cousins are awesome.
Later in the week my older cousin took me for a ride on the
High Rail Car. It's a street car which travels acrosse the river 150 m up. I'm terrified of hights,
this sucked.
On the other side of that bridge though I did get to see the
Alberta Legislature. Some very nice
architeture! On the way back, we stopped and saw a giant Stanley Cup!

And an
awsome candy store.
The two cousins I was staying with love horse riding, so before i left I had to go see them ride. It was really cool getting to see them do what they love.
Horses apparently like me.
The next part of my trip was going out to see the
mountains. My older cousin and I stayed the night at her friend's in Calgary. First thing Canada day morning we left for
Lake Louise in Banff national park. The whole trip left me completely awe-struck. No pictures of the mountains can capture how overwhelming and beautiful they are.
The lake was
so stunningly beautiful. It was also high enough up in the mountains to
inflate a bag of chips.
On the wat back from there we stopped in the town of Banff. It was really cool. Completely a tourist town and it was
crazy for Canada day. Sidewalk painting, meal deals, sales, celebration everywhere. I felt so Canadian! We also went to the small town of
Canmore. And for my fellow Canadians, no, I did not meet Mike

. I
did get to see the
giant head though! (Didn't know they had one? Niether did I

)
To really top off this Canada Day road trip acrosse half of Albereta, we went to
Vulcan, the Star Trek capital of Canada. It was so awesome! I got to see so much
cool stuff in just a few minutes. To end our day we stayed with her friend in a small town called Clairsholm and saw fireworks!
That was the most exciting parts of my trip I think. After that we started on our way to Saskatoon to see my uncle. On the way there we tried to stop and see as many of the giant things as we could!
The Giant kilbassa od Mundare Giant guitar Earnie, the giant turtle of Turtleford Giant Mountie of North Battleford The giant pysanka (Ukranian Easter Egg) of Veggerville
And on of the coolest ones IMO. The town of Llyodminster sits right on the boarder of Alberta and Saskachewan. Half the town is in each province. So they put
4 giganitic boarder markers along it.
My family also took my to see some cool things the day I stayed at thier cottage.
A lighthouse which inexplicitly lights up thier lake.. I also decided to take an
artsy picture or two

. Also a
Zoolander pic with my cousin's husband. I did not like how high I was. I ran the whole way up the stairs, but going down was a little harder.
We also went to see
the crooked bush. It's really unbelievable. They're all Aspens which for completely unexplained reasons grow
crooked and
deformed. Apparently no one has been able to figure out why, but cows will not go near the patch of trees, and it's very isolated. There are no other known occurances like it in the world and even trees just a few feet outside of it grow normaly. It's sooo weird.
In Saskatoon I spent most of the time with my family. I saw the archeology exibit at the U of S, and got to see all the ambulances and air ambulances since my uncle is a paramedic.
That is about all for my trip though. I can't eblieve how long it's taken me to type this up, so I hope everyone lieks reading!
