Gender Wars Judge Sign Ups!

So you don't wanna fight the lovely people of the opposite gender, but you still want to be involved in the 2010 Gender Wars eh? I think I can help you out there. Volenteer to be a judge!

As a judge you will be responsible for helping to create marking rubrics, helping in GW planning, scoring the events, and you will recieve a shinny new community coordinator banner (just like mine!).

If your are interested please post in this thread with a short explination as to why you want to do it, and why you think you'd be well suited for it. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Dates and more information on the wars in general can be found here. We will be choosing two male judges and two female judges. We will not be accepting volenteers past May 8th

Count me in. I "love" these little community things and am more than willing to dedicate myself to judging the Gender Wars once more. I was a judge last Gender Wars, thus, am experienced. Plus, I'm an admin. That has to count for something, right?

I think it would be nice to be involved seeing as most of the competitions I don't think I would be able to enter. I have plenty of time And I'd be pretty unbiased towards either gender. I would also be quick and thoughtful with my responsibilities. :3

I think I can do it, because usually I am online every day, thus I am approachable. I think I have the creativity that is required, and I'm judging the clan wars too, and I don't think I'd be biased there, so I won't be biased here either. I am quite learned when it comes to literature (essay, haiku) and music (singing). I am not a mod, and I might be young and immature for helping in the organization of such event on a grand scale, but you know -- there's a point where you have to start. Everyone was young. ^^

I do want to do it, because it's a fun and interesting experience -- though it's also a great responsibility, I know, I know. As Xeno, I do love the community things of this forum, and I want to be involved, the more the better. And because in RL I enjoy to organize these kind of things more than actually participating.

I've been told my critique for most things is fair, I'm online just about every day, and I'd like to be involved in the Community. I don't really have any qualifications aside from acing honors English (for essay and haiku), Music Studies course (for the singing challenge), taking an Art Appreciation class (for the art melee and whatever the other art-related event is that escapes my mind), and being quite familiar with many dares. xD

I'd like to volunteer for judging.

I'm well qualified as I've served on a panel of judges for the Design a Boss competition and have been involved with other community projects like the ZUHC. I've aced all of my English courses and I have always appreciated the arts (both visual and musical). I may be a woman, but I look like a 12 year-old boy, so I can be considered as neutral as is possible in that respect.

I'd really like to be a part of this because I like helping run events for others to enjoy. I'll be there to put in the long hours so that the participants can enjoy approximately 7 minutes of fun.

I believe that I am a well balanced member. More than capable of having fun, but also serious when I need to be. I'd say I can judge pieces objectively and without bias better than most. I don't have any experience judging but I do want to contribute to the community. So here I am.

You never know until you try.

The thing is, I don't have any particular qualifications. I have, however, brushed up on many art forms and style but never divulged in anything particular. I will look at a piece impersonally, regardless of its style, and make a note of everything positive about it rather than look down upon certain aspects. I am relatively new here, so bias toward any particular person is eliminated regardless of gender. I do spend quite a bit of time on the forum and have a strong sense of responsibility.

For one I have plenty of free time for this so no one should ever have to ask where am I or why haven't I done x. I believe that I can do a good job of being unbiased and see who really won regardless of who I want to win. I wanna participate in the gender wars, but I don't think I could really help out with the events, save for sig making which I've been very lazy about for the last few months. Plus Liah is too good so I have no chance.

I will try to be a fair judge, and will be unbiased. I like to be involved with things, especially behind the scenes. I love participating, but I don't believe I can do much to help my comrades, seeing as I am young and my skills still greatly undefined. Since I am out of school during the GW, I will be able to be on everyday for whatever is needed of me, except for something unexpected and such, and for a week during which I will be gone at a camp. I have a little skill with art, and have been around the art area of the forums (can't remember what they're called v.v), so I can make a fair judgement. I like to write, and have proofread many peoples writings, so I can fairly judge this as well. I am extremely involved with music, and will be able to judge the singing competition fairly as well (It's all about being fair isn't it ).

Also, a banner would be nice as well

I'm unbiased when it comes to the gender wars thing, because I was never into taking sides.

I get on nearly every day and I stay active as much as possible. I am very OCD when it comes to things like evaluating, scoring, and so forth and therefore will look at every. tiny. detail. of. every. pixel. I. see.

School is not giving me much work this trimester so I wil not have to deal with homework getting in the way of judging.

I have very good spelling & grammar skills due to the fact that my mother majored in English in college (she taught me almost everything I know about spelling and grammar).

I'd like to volunteer for judging.

My reasoning? I can't get into any trouble as a judge, I'm very fair. I've got plenty of free time now. I'd like to participate in gender wars, but without the whole 'wars' part. I'm very unbiased as I'm a female.. who has mostly male friends here. I'm a teacher RL, so i know how to appreciate effort, because lets be honest it isn't very fair to pit a graphics artist against someone with minimal drawing skill, even if the person with minimal skill is seriously trying.. and it was simple for the graphics artist - for an art competition. I seriously take effort into consideration, and won't just go "oh pretty pictures"

Could I be a judge? I know I'm relatively a noob, but I feel that I could do it. I'm pretty unbiased and fair. I think. I want to become a judge because I don't really know how I would participate in a Gender War, as long as gaining (most likely) valuable experience in the community of ZU.
