Holyoke (Springfield) Massachusetts, Saturday, May 1st: THE HIPPIES

Lets split this into its own thread.

Since nobody really came up with any plans, allow me to throw a date out there.

First or second Saturday of May. Twice a year, my boss throws a huge business/networking party at the office (think: 100-200 people) with plenty of food and great live music. And there's plenty of room for people to crash for the night.

It's in Holyoke, Massachusetts, which is 10 minutes north of Springfield and the Mass Turnpike. It's literally a minute off the highway, so you can't get lost finding it.

Now, I can't make any promises about what's going to be there this year, but we usually have kegs supplied by local brewery Paper City and as for food, it's usually a combination of firing up the grill out back, plus catering by the best polish restaurant around. As for music, you can check out a sampling of past shows at Positronic.TV. In fact, if you play an instrument, you are encouraged to bring it along and jam out. The whole office is also networked together with a 30mbit business internet line, making it prime real estate for PC or 360 LAN parties.

Still have to wait on Dave to decide a date, but it's usually around the start of May, and ALWAYS on a Saturday.

DISCLAIMER: There IS going to be booze around, and much of Dave's guestlist consists of dirty stoner hippies and aging Phish/Greatful Dead fans, so make sure you're comfortable being around that kindof stuff. (For legal purposes I also have to say we don't serve alcohol to minors.)
