Gender Wars 2009: Results Thread
Results Thread The time has finally come! There have been delays, questions, and building tension. Now, here in this very post, I will announce the winning team of the 2009 Zelda Universe Gender Wars. This year Power Shot lead his team, looking for revenge against Dog Dog 123 and the girls. A total of 7 battles took place with both the men and women putting in some amazing entries. And I have tallied up the judge's scored of them to determine the winner. But before I let you know which team it is, I would like to make a few thanks. First of all I'd like to thank our Captains, Power Shot and Lex leading the boys, and Dog Dog leading the girls. Xeno, Sabbo, and BJ put in a lot of time judging each entry of every event, as well as contributing ideas and comming up with the marking rubrics. Felix the Cat, Margar, and Kassi were all involved however due to IRL issues were not able to stay with us through the whole thing. However they did a lot to help out none the less. And finally, I'd like to thank everyone who participated in the Gender Wars. To all these people, none of this could have been done without you! Now I'm know everyone is dying to know who won, sooooo let me announce the team MVPs! I asked the captains of each to to pick one contestant who they think did the best job for thier respective teams. For his willingness, persistance, and bravery in the face of the women's disregard for human life, Aniday has been named the boy's MVP. In his second consecutive GW dare, he was chased off a poarch by a guy he willingly pissed off to score points for his team. The girl's MVP participated in a total of 4 events, excelling in each one. For putting in so much effort and time, ChibiAyanami has been named the girl's MVP. Congratulations to both of you, and jobs well done! And now for the moment everyone has been waiting for. The winner of the Gender Wars. Let me first say that both teams did a great job, but only one could come out on top. To determine this, each person's score wass averaged out between the judges. The team scores were then tallied up for each event, and the team with the higher score won that event. The exception to this was the haiku assault in which the scores were put head to head for each battle. The team which won the most events, won the war. Winning by only 1 event, with a score of 4-3, the bragging rights this year go to... ![]() Congratulations ladies. This marks the second consecutive win for the ZU girls. Despite ebing so much smaller in number, the lassies have overcome the boys. This means that they will be going for the three-peat win next year. Try not to rub it in too much girls. Now I know many of you are curious as to how you did, so I'll post up the event's scores. Please remember these are the average total scores for everyone. Please to not go chasing down judges asking them to see you scores or why they makred the way they did. Singing Boys River Zora: 41/55 The Battler: 30/55 Total: 71/110 Girls KelseyRain: 32/55 Art1st4786: 38/55 Total: 70/110 Free-Style Barrage Boys Power Shot: 49/65 Total: 49/130 Girls Karma: 46/65 ChibiAyanami: 51/65 Total: 97/130 Dare Crusade Default to boys because of no female entries. Don't argue about it. And I think that about does it! I'd like to once again thank everyone who helped organize and participated. I hope everyone comes back for it again next year, and bring a few people with you! Also feel free to leave any feedback so we can make this event better. Once again congrats to the ladies, and guys, next year pick it up! -Mattocks, Gender Wars Commissioner

Huh... The only thing I scored equal to or higher than the score posted in this thread was Light Speed's Belch. Maybe I was a bit too generous? :/

Re: Gender Wars 2009: Results Thread
The ladies won again? Woo! That's fantastic. Well done, ladies (: <3 I didn't take part this time around, but I did watch with interest from the sidelines. I was particularly lolzy with Margar vs. Cody, and I think it was super_fergus' arty entry that gave me a good chuckle.
Good show, ladies. I think this is going in the podcast--we're sorting that with our news gai right now (wheee, Matt, looks like it'll be announced afterall! xD).
