He has special powers to create and see things with his mind. For example, if he was batteling one enemy with a shotgun, he could see how many more shells the enmy has until the enemy runs out of them. Also, if James was surrounded by a whole group of enimies, he could create a sword and unleash a spin attack to get rid of them all at once.
