Molly Thatcher

Name- Molly Adeleine Thatcher

Age- Twelve

Race- Human

Sex- Female

Appearance- Molly stands at a diminutive (but don't tell her that) four feet six inches. Aside from her height, she is quite small, weighing in at around sixty seven pounds, hardly seventy soaking wet. Her short light-brown hair barely sticks out of the over-sized bright red beret she wears on her head. This hat has never been taken off under her own free will, and she's quite happy keeping it that way. What parts of her hair that do peek out of her super-glued-on-hat are just a bit longer ear-length. He bangs are short, and split in the middle. Most of it is swept back towards her neck, only sticking out a few inches or so. Her face is laden with many freckles, mostly concentrated around her nose and cheeks. Molly's eyes are large and dark brown.

Besides from her large beret, Molly wears an over sized, and not all that flattering green painters smock. It's splattered with various color paint stains years of use and abuse. It's only natural decoration is a large gold button that is sewn into the center of the upper chest. The collar of the white shirt she wears under the dirty old smock is folded over the top of the smock. Her gray skirt pokes out under the edges of the smock, and comes to just below her knees. Molly also wears a pair of blown, well worn forgettable shoes and a pair of black floppy socks. A light brown messenger style bag is slung over her shoulder as well, Molly keeps her various art supplies inside. What appears to be a relatively unstylish silver chain on her left wrist is actually her medical alert tag, labeling her as a hemophiliac.

Weapons-

:: Watercolors- Molly's watercolor paints go on easy and are nice and easy to use. They dry quickly, giving them the title "the unforgivable paints". Their colors aren't very bold though, and neither are their effects. It takes a few layers to get vibrant powerful colors out of them.

:: Oil paints- These are a professional's medium. Oils dry very slowly and go on thick. However, their composition leads to extremely potent and strong colors, and require only one use to get the intended results. Molly just has to be careful when using them, they tend to make quite a mess.

:: Chalk- Also known as "pastels", Molly uses these for more adventurous works. Whereas most paints are easily applied to smooth, clean surfaces, her chalks are ideal for rough and rugged applications. It requires some technique to apply them properly, but she also must be very careful, or they'll break.

:: Spray paints- The most unorthodox tool in Molly's arsenal are her three cans of spray paints. They're quite hard to control, and tend to have a lasting effect on whatever she uses them on. Aerosols are quite complex, and thus they stay on their targets for quite a long time.

:: Fixative- A small spray bottle of fixative sits tucked away in Molly's art bag for special occasions. Fixative, when used properly is a very simple way to prolong the effects of a piece of artwork. It creates a thin transparent layer between the surface of the painting and the environment. The brand little Miss Thatcher uses is extremely strong, able to resist anything an that threatens to smudge and fade her work.

:: Pencil- No.2, to be exact.

:: Eraser- A simple pink eraser. Though Molly doesn't do much work with ink or pencil, every artist carries an eraser with her. Though it doesn't fully remove the things she uses it on, it can distort and blur what one sees quite effectively.

:: Paintbrush- The paints Molly uses serve absolutely no use without the use of a paintbrush, and she has a very useful one indeed. Made of a highly resilient wood, allowing it to be used by Molly for many years. Its bristles come clean very easily, allowing her to get maximum use out of her brush before it needs to be cleaned. Though it is but inanimate in her hands, she swears it has a "mind of its own" as she paints, though some say that's just her creativity.

:: Pallet- Rounding out her list of supplies is Molly's wooden artist's pallet. It's smallish, oval shaped, and features the usual hole for grip that mostly all pallets have. Molly has become quite adept to memorizing the locations of each color on her pallet, which allows her to pick new colors without missing a creative beat. She often holds the pallet in her left hand and her paintbrush in her right. Aside from making things easier, her pallet can also be used to chase away anyone who tries to mess with her artistic concentration.

Skills and "magic-

Red- Red is Molly's obvious interpretation of heat. Due to its nature, red requires little-to-no shaping when being used. A simple smear of red paint in front of her will create a burning mark. A dab of red oil paint will create a blazing and raging fire, which is almost a "living" flame. Red water colors will make a much more precise and manageable tongue of flame. With a quick flick of her wrist she can send it flying wherever she wishes. If sprayed with a shot of fixative, a splotch of red becomes a dense, heated mass, similar in function to a hot coal. Pastels create a reddish haze that exists at a very high temperature, as opposed to fire. She does not carry a can of red spray paint.

Blue- Molly uses blues for both aquatics and freezing effects. While a stroke of blue oil paints creates a torrent of water, a smear of water color creates a frigid spike of ice. Further when using oils, the darker the blue, the faster and more turbulent the water. Sky blue water colors are lower temperature than darker blues, which create a slushy mess. By drawing a completed shape of blue with her blue pastel, a body of water will quickly fill it in. The depth of the pond depends on the thickness of the ring, and thus the amount of time it takes her to draw it. Adding fixative to blue oil paints is also a quicker way to increase its depths, but it also will calm the most wild of waters.

Purple- The only purple Molly carries with her is a can of spray. The formula used to create its colors are highly toxic and react quite potently with the skin, eyes and especially when inhaled.

Green- Greens are used for most of Molly's foliage. Thus, when she uses her green pastel on the ground leafs, plants and flowers burst from its touch. They're just for prettiness' sake, for the most part. The dust given off by this pastel has healing properties. When it comes in contact with a cut or wound, tiny verdant leaves pop up on the flesh, covering up the wound and quickly healing it while protecting it similar to a bandage. Also, while most bandages do nothing to stop Molly's bleeding, her green pastel's effects stimulate an effect similar to clotting in her blood, although this is a weak effect. For the most part, she can only use these technique to heal up small shallow cuts about an inch long. Anything more serious will lead to uncontrollable bleeding. Molly only carries a green pastel.

Yellow- Yellow is the most energetic of Molly's colors, the embodiment of electricity. Her yellow water color paint creates a high voltage current that flows from end to end. It will shoot off in the direction of her stroke the instant its drawn, making it a very useful tool for rapid attacks. Aside from it's offensive applications, her yellow pastel can create a current that works just like a self powered wire. By spraying fixative on a yellow line, the color's energy becomes insulated, making it safe to touch.

Grey- Molly's can of grey spray paint ejects a instantly hardening cloud of stone. It is very heavy, dense and tough, making it perfect for a number of defensive and practical uses. Furthermore, if fixative is sprayed onto a grey base, its strength vastly increases, making an almost indestructible barrier.

Pencil- Aside from being used on standardized tests, Molly's pencil is her tool for actually bringing objects into the world. Need a cup? Just let her sketch one out for you. Want a dragon slaying sword? Well, Molly can whip you up a drastically less powerful version, if you need. It'll work perfectly fine for slaying a small mouse or something. The harder she presses, the "thicker" the drawing, and the darker the color. Vice versa with light presses. The objects she sketches cannot take on any color than shades of grey to black, and maintain a constant "sketchy" appearance. When an object is "broken" or "destroyed", it simply turns into graphite dust and falls to the ground. The objects she draws, unless treated with fixative, are quite prone to smudging. Any and all contact with anything else will lead to a gradual reduction in the sketch's outline, which will eventually cause the object to fail and turn into noting but a cough-inducing graphite cloud.

Eraser- A big pink eraser is also found in Molly's supply bag. For starters, it can fully erase anything she draws with her pencil. When used on her surroundings, it blurs reality, effectively covering up objects. Want to hide a car in an open field, simply smudge it out with the eraser. In a few minutes, the whole scene will smudge together, effectively making what was once a car look like a patch of grass. She can even erase people, though this is a very difficult task.

Fixative- A trusty spray bottle of Fixative is the final tool in Molly's disposal. Though its applications vary from color to color, it pretty much protects and hardens an object or paint. Spray it over a window to ward off baseballs, or shoot some on a streak of red paint to create a heat dispersing orb. Fixative will also reverse the effects of Molly's eraser, uncovering hidden objects to their original existence.

Strengths-

Imagination is the only limit! Molly's extensive set of artistic tricks allows her to pack a wide array of skills under her belt. Anything from creating a chair to sit on, drawing a puddle or creating a deadly inferno can be handled by her, given the proper tools and imagination. She also can be quite imaginative with the uses of her paints, allowing her to think even further outside of the box, regardless of who draws it. This being said, the limits of her paint's powers are vast.

Weaknesses-

Hemophiliac. Molly was born with a rare genetic disorder called hemophilia. This genetic imbalance makes even the smallest cuts a threat. Molly's strand of hemophilia is quite rare. Her blood is almost completely unable to naturally clot, and thus she will bleed for a substantial amount of time. This blood loss can be lethal if she is cut deeply enough. Even a badly cut piece of bread can lead to a massive amount of bleeding. Given time, she will bleed to the point of unconsciousness, and eventually Molly will bleed out completely and die. The healing properties of the green pastels she carries with her are strong enough to synthetically clot small cuts, but larger wounds will continue to bleed. Even worse is the threat of internal bleeding. The only way for Molly to survive internal bleeding or large surface wounds is a large amount of professional medical attention.

I'm an artist, not a fighter! Molly Thatcher is a child of art and color, not combat and weapons. Being said, she has absolutely no hand to hand or weapon based skills, nor the strength or mass to use them. However, a quick smack with her pallet has been said to leave quite a bruise from time to time...

Personality- Being your typical, somewhat sheltered twelve year old girl gives Molly some typical traits. Though not exactly spoiled, Miss Thatcher is very moody, and these moods change at the drop of brush. One moment she's drawing bright green fields and sunshine, the next it's all fire and brimstone. Living mostly in her room with only a few children her age to interact with, Molly also is not used to normal human interaction, at least not very tactful. That being said, she often speaks out of turn to adults, and takes things the wrong way very easily. It's quite easy to offend her, as she holds herself and her abilities in quite high esteem. Molly speaks with a British accent, with a very proper vocabulary.

She is deathly afraid of sharp objects, hates vegetables, loves cats and has a fascination with flowers.

Biography and Backstory-

Molly Thatcher was born into an upper-class family in a small English town. Her father was a doctor, well educated in the fields of genetics. Her mother was an artist. She gave her daughter her first box of crayons within a week of being born, and at the age of two Molly was painting up a storm. It was then that she was diagnosed with an extreme case of hemophilia, after a small accident with building blocks nearly cost her her life.

Being extremely worried about their daughter's health, she was sent to live at Ampthill Medical Research Institute. Many other children called this place home, all of them had various leaning disabilities, physical disabilities and various other less-than-life-threatening problems. Most of the kids there enjoyed a pretty standard and fun life, causing mischief in the building, taking part in medical studies and playing games across the facility's extensive grounds. Molly wasn't so lucky. Her only way of passing the day without risking her own life was to stay inside and paint.

And paint she did.

Regardless of the harassment of her peers, Molly Thatcher became an outstanding artist for a six year old. Her skills grew further as she aged, limited only by her creativity. Her paintings were hung up all around the institute, and many of the teachers had taken a liking to her. The other patients grew quite jealous, and constantly did whatever it took to make Molly's life difficult. They'd destroy her canvases, mix her paints and even beat her up from time to time. In her defense, Molly became more and more outspoken and moody, borderline rude at times. However, it was around this time that she found another sort of defense.

Her imagination had run rampant. No longer was she able to keep her mind and artwork on her canvas. In the confines of her bedroom, she had began to bring her creations out of the two dimensional realm. By the age of eight, she could draw a cup and fill it was crystal clear water all on her own. Soon enough, she was drawing tiny yellow specks in the hallways, inflicting anyone who came close to her with a jolt of rather uncomfortable electricity. Molly loved her newfound powers, and often her room was filled with flowers of all sorts without explanation of where they had come from. The caretakers just thought she had made friends with the Institution's botanist.

Now, at twelve years old, Molly has pushed her artwork even further. Aside from being able to create works of art that would take the most accomplished artists months to make, she had also honed her "other" arts much further. The mediums at her disposal had widened greatly, giving her many tools to work with. Her imagination grew as well, allowing her to work quicker and with much more control over her creations. However, the strains the other children have been placing on her have also grown. The young artist had gotten into several scuffles, all from children claiming she was a witch. The doctors ignored their claims, and simply took Molly as an artistic prodigy.

But they never could explain where all the flowers kept coming from.
