Name: Felix Kasai

Weapon: Fenikkusu - A sword forged for Felix by his sensei. This sword is specially made and only Felix can access it's true powers. This sword can adapt to Felix's fire powers and become engulfed in flames yet not burn or melt. It can also lead fire using the tip of the sword.

His Kimono his mostly red with white on the more detailed parts. He wears light armor under his clothing so he gets less wounded in battle but doesn't have to get weighed down by it. The swords on his back are mostly for show and are rarely used. Also ignore the swords on his belt for they have been removed from Felix (this is an early sketch before I made up his main sword).

Personality: Tends to be a bit of a smart-ass. He is however usually serious and quite overconfident. He may not show it much, but he is quite the softy and has some strong feelings for Jade (but tries to hide them). He's usually quite shy around people he doesn't know well, however around most of the people in his village he is quite the talker. Towards enemies he is usually pretty cocky and likes to joke around with them a bit. Overall though he is a pretty likable guy.

Magic: Nothing really, except that he can make and control fire.

Strengths: A master swordsman who's skills are top notch. He can also use fire to increase his strength in tough fights. He is usually pretty good at figuring out an enemy's strategy, however he never makes and strategies of his own. In situations however he starts to think a bit more and make up strategies, mostly when Jade his in danger.

Weaknesses: Going head first into battles, Never thinking before he goes, Making strategies while battling, Dark Magic, Giving up when Jade's life is in the enemy's hands, willing to give his own life to save Jade. Usually Felix never thinks before anything, which usually ends up with him getting badly hurt or losing. Jade being threatened is his biggest weakness, because whenever Jade's life is in enemy hands he gives in. He would give his life for her after all (He does in the end of my story)

Biography: Felix is the last member of his family. His family bore a special mark on their right hand. This mark allowed them to control and make fire. However because of this they were feared, and even though they never harmed anyone, they were all hunted down and killed. However during the hunting the family was able to give up one baby. That baby was Felix. He was given to an elder woman who was a master swordsman and owner of her own dojo. She taught Felix alongside a fellow student his age, Jade (still working on a better name for her). Felix turned out to be a child prodigy, and at the age of 11, he defeated his sensei in a duel. At the age of 13, he discovered his power when trying to crack his fingers, only to find fire burst out of them. However soon word got out that there was another fire user and the Otakooya (their world's government) sent an expert hunter to kill the fire user. Once word got out that the hunter was coming for Felix, his sensei devised a plan. She painted the symbol of fire on her right hand, that way the hunter would kill her instead of Felix. On the day before the hunter arrived, Felix's sensei gave Felix the Fenikkusu and told him to be brave and protect Jade no matter what happens. The next day Felix watched as his sensei was slaughtered right in front of his very eyes. Felix had no clue that his sensei was planning to sacrifice herself to save him. Felix became outraged by the Otakooya and their ways, because this is not the first wrong they have done. They enslave towns and put heavy taxes on them which they know the town can't pay. A few weeks after the murder Felix discovered his true family's history and how they were all slaughtered. Felix did almost non-stop training for two whole years only stopping to eat, sleep, shop, and train Jade.Felix then set off with Jade, who was also now an orphan, to avenge his sensei and to save the country from the Otakooya...

Okay, this is looking pretty decent for a first character. All I'd like you to do is describe the personality, strengths and weaknesses sections in a little more detail.

Personality: How does he react to certain types of people? How does he react to battle? What is he like when meeting new people?

Strengths: How is he effective in these situations? What physical attributes does he take pride in? Can he do magic? (You left out skills/magic, so I'll assume he can't, but I'd like confirmation) That sorta thing.

Weaknesses: How do all these weaknesses affect him? To what extent? What makes him particularly vulnerable to these things?

Those are the sort of things that I'd like to be answered.

Fix that up and I'll take another look. ^__^
