Re: Kichaa Mesoa [1.5]
Name
True: Kichaa Mesoa Alternate: Rhys* *Due to various personal reasons, he took this name as an alias and identifier. He answers to it, and only a few know otherwise. Age True: 23 Alternate: 25* *Due to the affects of the Dome, his age has progressed differently than the time in his own world. Race True: Human Alternate: Aura Adept Sexuality Gender: Male Alignment: Heterosexual Status: Single Appearance Hair: His hair is brown. He wears it in a mop that is handsomely shaggy and mostly natural in its growth pattern, though it has obviously been tended. It is parted off-center on the left, but is primarily a mop style. The length varies, but it is longest in the back and sides. Eyes: His eyes are brown. The tones are predominately dark, with flecks of black. Face: His face is a wide diamond shape, not quite square. The bones of his face are strong, with high cheekbones. His skin tone is mostly tan. He has hairline wrinkles at the corners of his eyes and mouth, evidence of a hard lifestyle. The tone of his lips is a light brownish-red. His eyebrows are evenly spaced, managed, and clean. Body: He stands a shade over six foot five, and weighs in somewhere around two hundred pounds, consistently. He has strong muscle tone for all kinds of physical fighting and activity. This includes running, marching, swimming, and every form of combat. His muscles are obvious, but lean and not entirely conforming to the ideals of physical attractiveness. He is not a body-builder, and his musculature does not make him seem like one. His shoulders are wide, his frame lean and long-limbed. He has large feet and hands, with strong digits on both hands. He has several scars. There are two nearly identical pierce scars on his body, one on his lower left abdomen and the other high on his right shoulder. Both wounds are about an inch in length and are covered with milky white scar tissue, as with wounds that are never sewn but head naturally. Across his upper back is a long, thin scar that stretches from one shoulder to another. Along the rest of his back are three more scars, each of them mostly flat but with frayed edges. They are small, the longest being only six inches long, and bear resemblance to scars derived from tear wounds. Clothing: His choice of clothing is simplistic. He wears dark leather riding boots, hardened in the front and on the soles, and thick wool socks. He wears loose, tan-brown trousers tucked into his boots. They gather slightly. He wears a fitted long-sleeved shirt of thin, white cotton material. His choice of armor is a leather breastplate with fine workings on the front. Over the shirt he wears a tan-brown tunic which falls about to his knees. The tunic is short-sleeved, moderately loose, and follows the lines of his body. It has four buttons at the top. The breastplate has a strap over each shoulder and two around the waist. These straps have buckles along the left side, except for the shoulder straps, which buckle directly to the breastplate. The leather of the breastplate is two-layered, with the outermost layer hardened and hand-worked, but the inner soft. [The second paragraph of this post is a description of his clothing appearance for the duration of "Knockin' on Heaven's Door".] Accessories: On his hips he wears a wide leather sword belt and scabbard for his sword. Both are dark leather. The belt has a large buckle in the front and a second, smaller buckle off to the right side, since the belt as a smaller tongue in the case that the larger cannot hold to the weight demands. The scabbard is buckled at the left side. It has a simple steel locket and chape. Weaponry The sword he carries is a simple steel long sword with a progressive taper, cruciform hilt, and circle pommel. It is a hand-and-half sword for a man his size, measuring in at about forty-nine inches. The sword is heavy, tough, and kept sharp constantly. The grip is black leather. Attributes Strengths: He is an unrivaled swordsman and focused combatant. His personal willpower is strong, giving him an edge in mental, spiritual, and magical warfare. He has recently become aware of the powers of his own aura, but cannot use them. His powers of healing are above average, even for a healthy person. He has the power to believe or not believe something unwaveringly, making him mostly immune to the effects of illusions. Weaknesses: He is poorly equipped to defend against elemental assaults from the elements of fire, air, water, or earth. He has yet to gain any skill related to the masking or hiding of his own presence. severely restricting his ability in stealth. The focus of his combat training is primarily physical and therefore fairly open to assaults from mystical attacks. Personality Presenting Self: He presents himself as a strong, serious man who is capable in all walks of life and stern in his beliefs. He tries to assert himself as a decent and honorable man and cultivates an air of authority. He shows tolerance for children and the elderly. He makes a good effort to hide negative feelings such as anger, fear, and sorrow. He deliberately avoids the subject of love. Perceived Self: He perceives himself a as a kind, laid-back man. Though he has a keen sense of humor, he buries it under a serious exterior. It asserts itself when he is drunk or delirious. He believes in honor, nobility through right acts, and the power of personal choices. He has utmost respect for married men and women, but at the same time holds them to a high standard. He has a strong personal desire for marriage, but believes that his lifestyle is unsuitable to that deisre. He considers honesty and love to be the highest virtues, with trust as their most important supplement. He believes himself to make friends easily, despite the fact that he has few and never tries. He knows that he has a violent temper. Biography Gypsy parents were the only parents Kichaa knew as a child, growing up in the foothills of Count Ramon's mountainous land. His father, a formidable warrior for a mere hunter, was once a cavalry captain, highly decorated and trained extensively in the sword. These traits helped him provide for his family extremely well, allowing that when he could not feed them by hunting, he could work for a time as a mercenary out of the many Merc-Halls. Riova Mesoa learned the ancient sword style of Xema from his father, who actually attained the rank of colonel in the cavalry, who learned it from his father. Kichaa's great grandfather was an understudy to the sword master that actually created the defensive style, allowing the family firm ties into the swordsmanship of the past. Kichaa's mother, previously Anne Lora, was a kind, gentle woman- in her mid thirties when Kichaa was born- that was deeply in love when she married Riova. The dashing cavalry captain was much like Kichaa when he was younger, quiet, friendly, but still mysterious in a way. She fell head over heals in love with little provocation by Kichaa's father. She was twenty when they married, and despite their longing for a child, she only impregnated once, yielding Kichaa and his twin, who died at birth. Kichaa grew up strong and healthy, and eventually learned the way of the sword from his father, in addition to meager use of the bow and horse mastery. Kichaa's mother watched this all sadly, especially since she realized that she had wanted a daughter, the daughter that had died, and began crying herself to sleep in Riova's unwitting arms. Kichaa's early teens passed with little incident, and he eventually left to wander, much like his gypsy parents. The young man's love for his parents gradually worked its way into the back of his mind, becoming only a memory as he sunk further into the solo bounty hunter trade. Unlike most mercenaries, Kichaa took private contracts from noblemen or rich merchants, receiving a higher payout because of his skills. The young man never put his heart into this work however, and dropped it after a few years. At twenty- two years after leaving his parents- Kichaa's past caught up with him and he began having reoccurring dreams about things in his childhood, focusing on one person that dominated his young life, his father. Often they'll be sparring, Kichaa a young boy and his father teaching him, though most of the dreams never occurred in reality, and often Kichaa would wound his father with his own weapon. He never understood what they meant, or if they meant anything, until he tried to find his parents again and failed. At this point he came to the conclusion that at some level, he had wounded his father when he left, though he felt no real guilt for it. The dreams still haunt Kichaa to an extent, though not as much as they used to. After around three years of aimless wandering, Kichaa was invited to learn combat at a mystical combat school, the Dome. Kira Greenthorn, a wood elf, remains his teacher, as he still has not graduated from this institute of higher combat, and has taught him many things through small tasks. At the Dome, and other worlds he accessed through the school, Kichaa learned many other ancient styles, eventually perfecting them into a unique new style of his own. The style is cited by many swordsmen as a perfect combination of power, finesse, and intelligence, and he has been approached by three young men that wanted instruction, though he feels unready to teach others yet.
