Dead Army
Herein Lies The Army of Dead Zealot __________________________________________________ __ Name: Maximilian Serghei Eckhart Title: Spectral Elementalist Aliases: Max Heruka, Tobias Juvenal Age: 209 Race: Vamp₀ (Null) Gender: Male Weight: 230 lbs. Height: 5’ 11” Eyes: Red Hair: Black ![]() “The Leaving Song Pt. II” by AFI. “Gentlemen (Go To Sleep)” by Far-Less. “Wake Up, Open The Door, And Escape To The Sea” by Blaqk Audio. Ectoplasma: This talent calls on the Virtue of the remnant energies of the Dead to power Dust's movements and gives him the power to create a form of matter called Ectoplasma. Forge- The Core Ability to turn Dead Energies into Ectoplasma. Attributes- Ectoplasma can generate a special sort of gravitational field which can attract or repel matter from it depending on what the Caster dictates. But this isn't all. It can also change temperature, form, or shape, depending on the Caster's intention. Copy- It can also form the possessions of a dead person if their name is known, although these are just copies of the attributes, not the items themselves and can only last for a limited period of time. Although, these copies can be used to resonate with the actual item if it is still intact. Armor- Ectoplasma can form spikes on his knuckles, knees, and elbows during physical combat. Replace-A technique that tears apart any non-organic matter in a certain area by integrating it with Ectoplasma, which converts it into simple and invisible Virtue Energy. If it absorbs any kind of weapon that has extended exposure to magic, however, it will only be temporary. Feast of Virtue: The ability to absorb the virtue of blood for sustenance. This is done through absorption into Dust’s essence by his touch, but only through his skin’s touch. He cannot draw virtue through a glove. His virtue craving needs to be supplied once every three days, in order to maintain proper regeneration, sanity, and overall function. Normal food no longer tastes quite the same. Flight: Thanks to his new wings, Max can fly at higher speeds than he could when he just used his Psionics to carry himself. These black wings are leathery and featherless, like that of a bat. They glow green, because they were the mutation response to his close contact with the cornerstone that housed the Goddess Yunei, the source of Nediryo’s power over his lay followers. Jaws of Ein Soph: A technique Dust used once to devour a star that Mezzo Fortuna decreed was cursed to become an anomaly that would destroy the cosmos. It appears that it was a power given to Dust for the specific purpose of fulfilling the deed. It had been dormant, but when he destroyed Yune’s Cornerstone, it brought the power back into active state from the remnant energy. Once Arimas died, it reacted with his new desolate state, the Null, to allow him to add attributes to his body temporarily by swallowing them. Or, he can simply lick them with his tongue when the technique is active to “paste” it to his body for a less effective attachment. Also, he can store things in himself this way, to replace the portal to Nexus he lost when Arimas died. The technique is evident whenever his tongue and the inside of his mouth become a slimy black color. Regeneration: Max can regenerate lost limbs, but it takes excessively long periods of time to do so, and if Max loses a limb, he can reattach the body part, whole or not, to accelerate the process. Psionics: The ability to make other things float, and the ability to unlock doors without physical touch. Teleportation is included, so is the ability to push or grab objects with pure willpower. Hypnotism: Usable to lure weak prey into a sense of false security and trance, it can also block out pain in a friend or misdirect a weak foe to make fatal mistakes. Only works by directly gazing into his one flesh eye as he slowly swings the small silver pendulum he keeps in his pocket. Physical Superstructure: Max’s physique is reinforced by a quality of strength that expands from him like an aura of some sort which reinforces his movements in a way that his own physical body does not quite reflect his actual power. He can take hard blows that would kill a man his size, thanks to this aura. Healing Saliva: can be used to seal small wounds, like bites, utilizing small microbes that coat tissue. These same microbes regenerate his limbs and flesh when wounded, and like him, are not so much alive as they are functional in a cancerous fashion. ~~~~~~~INVENTORY~~~~~~~ Zayin Stones: These are small red gems implanted in the back of Dust’s hands and down his spine, which increase his attack power with each successful strike. The same shaman that gave him his false eye put them in place as his initiation into the Yuru Clan. The Ghost Knife Merco: The Ghost Knife is a wide short sword with a mirrored surface that only reflects subtle energies, such as spiritual power or souls. He can use it to identify others by the colors Merco reveals within its surface. No known power has been able to break it, at least not yet. The Shaman Eye: This is actually the stone of an aged shaman (a friend of Rando) who carved it in a shape that would fit neatly inside Max's socket to replace his lost eye. Bonded to Max's consciousness, it can see like a regular eye. When detached and placed somewhere, it can relay the information to the vampire from any distance, and can even transmit sounds received. Pendulum A handy talisman for bending others to his will. Made of silver, and hanging from a small black rope. It has no actual magical powers. Fairly ordinary item. Yuru Clan Style: Max’s fighting style is far from elaborate, and even looks a little ugly. Kirkaas, brother of the infamous Rando, taught the vampire the stance and deft movements that were taught originally by their lineage founder, which had been passed down through generations to them, and their grandfather Sod Yuru before them. It revolves around quick movements that are close to his body, bringing the maximum force of the strikes in a fashion vaguely similar to Wing Chun. Unusual Traits: Whenever he comes in contact with holy energy, the part of his body closest to it dissolves physically for as long as it is near. Same for demonic energy. It simply turns his body translucent whenever it comes into contact, and therefore it could be used to negate his hand to hand strikes. Strengths: His strengths lie in his resourceful nature, his endurance, and his agility. While some characters depend more on their brute force to win, Dust's style of fighting actually operates based on the magical stones sealed along his backbone and in the backs of his hands to increase his actual force by multiplying it for every successful impact. Max cannot be harmed by Holy energy, which passes through his flesh as if it were air. Weaknesses: Anything made of silver scars his skin, and incredibly bright light burns his bodily tissues. In addition, heat-based attacks and weapons are effective against the Devourer's strange biology, which includes fire magic and lasers of strong focus. Personality: This formidable vampire is, believe it or not, a person like anyone else. He's been described as ruthless, and yet paradoxically easygoing. For when set to a goal, he does not hesitate, but when moving without agenda, he is personal, relaxed, and open. His personality is close to an open book, some might say, because he doesn't like to hide who he is inside, but that doesn't mean he isn't complex. He has often struggled between different views that have become relevant in his life during all of his most painful decisions. Is it best to do the greatest good for the most amount of people? He did so when he devoured the Star of Kali to protect the cosmos, and yet he learned there were beings that inhabited that planet which died ignorant and innocent. The nature of family has also proved an issue for him. Is relativism okay when it comes to his family? He became an assassin to provide for his family. More innocents dead. What does it mean to live when it means it will cause others to die? [Excerpt “Seer” Occult Magazine, “Rich Witch”] Immortal Eye is a prestigious corporation that has prospered on nearly all corners of the globe. It is almost synonymous with big names like Max Eckhart, even though it seems that fellow founder Solomon Delgado was a bigger player than Maxi in the original cultivation of the company…at least as more details regarding the origins of this technological giant have become known. However, Maximilian is perhaps the most interesting of the rare animals called millionaires that walk the Earth today. And we’re not just talking about his money. He’s declared to us in private that he is a practitioner of the arts, a fellow witch who would even go so far as divulge some of his celeb secret rites. “I’ve been to other worlds than ours,” he confides as he talks about a realm he visited during one of his mystical journeys, where he purports he disappears for years at a time. He claims to have had another wife and twins during his time suspended there until he found a way back. He seemed very sensitive about this topic, and wanted to move to other aspects of his travels as well. We patiently heard out his fantasies, but noted that the sexy witch wasn’t using the proper pronunciation for some of his incantations he shared with us. While we were impressed by his claims, we go purely on scientific evidence. If you can’t even pronounce your rites properly, you can’t expect us to take you THAT seriously. Especially if you tell us you’re a two-hundred-year-old vampire as well as a witch. And if he really were such a powerful being, why would he tell a publication as wide-read as us? Our demographic may be narrow, but that’s still not very intelligent of him. His familiar of choice was standard. He drew a sketch of his spiritual guide, that of a purple monkey demon he had named “Konjiro.” I suppose the Asian flavor of Tokyo makes everything come out that way, even for a man who was born in Romania. Speaking of Romania, wasn’t that Dracula guy from there? Eh, probably just where he got that vampire thing. Pretty corny. While we’re somewhat making him our celeb whipping boy here, we still have a lot of good things to say about Mr. Eckhart. He’s done a lot of good charity work, despite the reputation his company has for alleged illegal substance dealing. I mean, what’s cocaine to anybody when you give to starving children? Seer Magazine appreciates his work, and he isn’t bad looking either. Sure, he’s probably got more makeup on than my mother, but at least he’s got the face for it. And he’s pretty lean, too. He gave us a few shirtless poses (even though we don’t believe we asked, we appreciated it) and let’s just say this interviewer will be holding onto those images for a rainy day. ~~~~~~~FAMILIARS~~~~~~~ Doppelganger Orion, The Dark Tulpa: Appearance: ![]() Themes: "Sad But True" by Metallica "Apparition" by Most Precious Blood Status: DEFEATED Last edited by Dead Zealot; 03-22-2009 at 05:18 PM.. |

Re: Lineage of the Shademan
Name: Ashram Lioner Age: Twenty-One Race: Fictional Human Sex: Male Hair: Black with wispy traces of blue. Eyes: Green with gold Weight: 178 lbs. Height: 5' 6'' Weapon: He wields an enchanted pen and a book with an infinite amount of pages called the Ouroborean Tome. His other weapon from his imaginary world is called the Velvet Razor, an oddly shaped sword with a large shield attached to the hilt. His pen can write on any surface, but the real Magick lies in his book. Strengths: He's agile, and has great speed and endurance. His magical capabilities are also very impressive. Weakness: In terms of strength, he is mediocre. Close-combat is usually a last resort. Also, if the tome is somehow damaged, he has to wait a period of time before it rejuvenates itself to a whole and pristine form, by way of enchantment. Skills/Magic: Sketchimera- These rites of Illusionary Magick is performed when Ash visualizes something he has a vivid recollection of, or something in his immediate vicinity. His excellent memory is less than natural talent; in actuality, he uses a technique called the Sight Trance. Once he has sketched the image inside of the Tome, he has several strategic techniques at his disposal for battle, called Writs. He must speak them, because they depend on communication. I. Writ of Concealment- this allows him to hide something or someone who is real by disguising them or hiding them behind the thing he's sketched. II. Writ of Chaos- If he's drawn something in the immediate area could plausibly cause an accident, or malfunction somehow, Ash can increase the odds of said accident by a great extent by marking through its image with his pen after drawing it. III. Writ of Arms- After drawing a weapon or object of some sort, like a handgun, and then circling said sketch, the ink he's used for the drawing will seep ethereally from the page. The real counterpart of the weapon will materialize itself near his reach. However, it is an illusion until he actually touches it, and depending on his familiarity with drawing it, the weapon will only last about one minute. IV. Writ of Blood- By stabbing himself at his own discretion with his pen, he magically draws in some of his own blood. When he makes his next drawing, it will be real for at least a day, at the expense of a one-third of his ink usage for the day. V. Writ of Mage- This allows Ash to draw a symbol that he associates with a spell effect on his tome, and then create the same effect by ripping the page out and then focusing his attention on the intended target of the spell. The paper then dissolves. One page is allowed per spell, and the potency of the spells is limited by the time taken to draw it. These are the traditional spells Ash knows: The Elegy spell causes undead foes to slowly disintegrate, as long as Ash keeps singing, and he can be singing any song after he draws the note-like symbol. The Dance spell, when executed, causes Ash to do a jig that allegedly aids in battle. The Triple spell allows Ash to triple any Sketch Item he may have drawn into existence. The Enter spell allows Ash to enter the world of any book he might discover, and when used a second time, allows him to leave. The limitations on the Sketchimera skills are as follows: 1. The enchanted pen, Iago, regenerates ink, and is indestructible, but the recharge of the mystical ink takes about a day, once it is depleted. If this happens, Ash must find some normal writing tool to do his magick. 2. The Sketchimera techniques cannot mimic magical abilities inherent in any item, only a physical duplicate. Enchantments are created independently only. Appearance: Ashram has an odd texture about all of him. His pen and tome are more realistic than he is. As if he weren't totally solid, though, on touch, it shows that he is. His hair is a pleasing black, dispersed with wisps of blue. His face is accentuated with a weak chin and green eyes that are flecked with gold. His clothing is a tight black suit with a foreign armor that emphasizes curved, spherical designs. His gloves and boots are made of light blue leather. Personality: Usually passive and meek, Ashram may seem cowardly, but actually conceals a very shrewd nature. He thinks carefully about nearly every decision, and tries to plan ahead as constantly as possible. He is so resolute in some of his decisions, though, that it may be difficult for him to rethink a possible bias. He is also a rigid atheist. Around women, he tries to set the moral standard, as it is seen as attractive in his society. Not known for a strong voice, he chooses actions or thoughts over words. He is very sad concerning the mystery of his homeland and the quest he remembers being involved in, with a girl named Jennika. Biography: Why won't they believe me? Televa is my home. Why would I lie? Televa is just as real as the metal castle where I had lain chained by them for two years. They tested me for thought-sickness. I came out clean. They kept me for longer and longer, telling me I was mad. When they showed me the cause of their suspicions...Gods, even I could not believe it. I had to lie my way out. I had to make them think that I was serious about believing their story, which I found just as fantastic. When I was to leave, they gave me things; the things they said I had on me at the time they met me, but that I never recalled owning. I only wish I knew where Jennika was. I made a promise. I can make things from drawings. Writings. Ink. Paper. And voices call to me from these things, voices you cannot hear. Because you are not insane. I am. They are still chasing me. Not the doctors, but there is someone else who has been after me all along. Something that makes the voices stop-- but the silence comes at a greater cost. I cannot find my world here, and with every failure to find Televa or even Monbumel, for Kel's sake! My migraines have been getting worse recently. And I saw those chasers again. They were coming through the mirror in my bathroom. Had to break it. It's like a nightmare here, outside of home. I feel so utterly alone. I wish I had that book at least...No. It's a fraud. If I had read it, I would have seen that right away. My memories are all I need to call Televa...Though I worry the exiles and Jennika have already given up hope. It makes me want to kill myself to see if I'll wake up. I would, if I wasn't smart enough to be afraid that I wouldn't come back. That's all that is holding me here. God I'm scared.

Re: Lineage of the Shademan
Name: Synneschal “Synne” Creed (Sin-Ess-Kull Kreed) Age: 25 (frozen) Race:Human/Nagual Gender: Male. Weight: 200 lbs. Height: 5’ 7’’ Eyes: Golden. Hair: Brown. Appearance: Very sturdy-looking, depite his average height and build. His golden eyes glimmer warmly as if kissed by the sun. His hair, a curly, yet somehow stable russet style, accentuates his handsome face, which is stubbled with the hair of a five o’clock shadow. A rough cape of albino hide serves him well, while a plain, brown shirt serves as an underlayer. On both forearms are two bracelets that have metal attachments folding back past his elbows; these attachments are technological marvels: the Kinesse, iron knuckles that he can fold over his own in order to absorb kinetic energy. As for abnormal features, on each temple of his head, there is a small black patch shape that shows his brain has been equipped with cybernetics. Sand Magic: A little-known style of magic that requires intense concentration, Synne simply draws his sack of sand from his belt and tosses it. The particles then disperse in midair completely, and when the opponent tries to strike Synn, the sand particles coalesce in that spot, taking the impact of the attack into itself. He can create sandstorms harsh enough to wear through skin, or erode stone or metal. He learned he was capable of controlling sand long ago, but he dismissed it as a Nagual trait, not knowing it was something far more, which has yet to be revealed. Skyboard: Strapped to his back is a small, silvery gadget that can be extended to serve as a type of “hoverboard,” to put it simply. It holds the ability to carry it’s rider through time’s flow. This is a prototype, and prolonged use may least to a severe halt in biological aging. Weapon: The Kinese (Ken-es-sae) Twin iron knuckles that fold against his forearm and are connected to his bracelets on his arms, these runic weapons have the ability to absorb kinetic energy and disperse it. For example, Synne could stop a punch by hitting it with the Kinese, and the energy of the blow would move into him, but he would not be harmed. Instead, he would store the power in his weapon, until he received enough, and then release it in the form of a blow. He is incredibly skilled at using these weapons. Any and all physical movement can be halted by these tools. Also installed in the bracelet components are runes that release a gravity reducing field when willed to. Armour: None. Strengths: Close quarters combat is his specialty, but he’s impressive in just about every statistic, due to his cybernetically enhanced body. Weakness: Water attacks dampen his sand, making it useless, and he isn’t used to distance attacks. Also, I know this isn't really a weakness, but he's dyslexic. Personality: Calm and reserved, Synneschal lives a lonely existence, even though he would never go so far as to admit it. He enjoys goofing off now and then, but for the most part his mind is focused on whatever pressing issue might be at hand, like where he will sleep for the night. Usually upright before relaxed and stern before smiling, he knows how to make the most of his time, being alive for such a long time. However, he isn’t cold, and is very chivalrous for such a hardened warrior. History: In the world of Nexus, at the end of the Adamantine Era, Synneschal was born into a confused, desert world of high technology and primitivism. Many families lived in tents, or caves, if they were lucky enough. Luckier still would they be if they caught sight of gleaming metal somewhere adrift in the churning sands. These things were called “Hod’Bakrie Sahin,” or “tools of Gods.” The history of the world seemed to be known by none, not even the elders. Synne’s parents raised him as best they could, despite the harsh conditions. None of the inhabitants of this world could have guessed that the sand particles in this world carried a substance that caused a disease similar to Alzheimer’s, and that the reason the ones that should remember the past don’t because they didn’t wear sand masks back then, because they had yet to be discovered. Synne’s people, which are extremely fertile, have a 1 in 3 chance of giving birth to a Nagual. These are humans that eventually gain the ability to assume both a hawk form and an anthropomorphic hawk form. Why these children are born is a mystery, just like the technological gadgets scattered far across the land. When Synne turned sixteen, his father promised him a gift for reaching manhood. When he did not return from the sandy wasteland, Synne searched for him. Eventually he caught sight of a human shape, smothered in sand. When Synne turned him over, knowing tragically what he would see, he saw the lifeless form of his father, holding a strange, circular object with a gleaming silver surface. A treasure. After mourning, he took the gadget, and experimented with it. Two panels on one side could slide outward, revealing two soft, jellylike pads that vaguely resembled human feet. Synne, naturally, put his feet there. As he did, the machine whirred to life, and metal rings clasped around his ankles and wrists, magnetically insuring his ride to be a safe one. The mechanism then hovered off of the sandy ground, and took off, moving left, right, up, down and any direction he pleased. He soared for the rest of the day, and when he came to a stop that first time, he had tears in his eyes. His father had given him the best gift of his entire life. While living with the saddened widow that his mother had become, Synneschal was miserable. His caretaker carried a cheerless aura that destroyed whatever joy he might have accumulated while “skyboarding” that day, as he called it. After hearing her moan, groan, and whine for about two years, he had had enough. He yelled at her. That was an amazing thing, because Synne was usually the most courteous, polite, and silent boy anyone would ever meet. He demanded that she move on, and stop ruining his life. He said he had lost a father, but he didn’t mope around the tent, waiting to die. Just as he finished his rant, he felt his vocal cords melt, his bones beginning to crack and change, and his sight blur. He was a Nagual. A bird man. He screeched, and left the domicile in a hurry, a trail of feathers left in his wake. He knew Nagual lived on the other side of the great wall, and that only their wings could normally carry them, but he had yet to grow wings yet. He decided to use his skyboard. He was going to leave everything behind. However, something was different about his contraption. He had nudged the side of the thing by accident, and a small panel had slid open at the head of the board, releasing a square beam of light that projected a translucent blue panel. When the rings were once again holding his body tightly and his feet were secure again, the panel became solid. Not sure what to do, he noticed the buttons were topped with shapes. After thinking for a moment, he recalled seeing four of the shapes before. They were on the other side of the skyboard. He typed them in the exact order he had seen them, and then pulled his hands back. A murderous silence filled his ears, and he felt like he was imploding. When the light in the sky started flickering and everything blurred, he thought he was dead. When he opened his eyes again, he was in an entire building filled with silver equipment. Hovering around the room on his board, he was curious to where he was. Eventually, he encountered people. They were stunned by his bestial appearance, and studied him. He was an organism never kept in the record books, yet he rode a board that had just been invented that very day. Another thing was his biological structure. Every human had a cybernetic chip planted in their brain, so why did this being not possess one? They had no idea that this particular skyboard possessed the ability to time-travel. Synne was simply perplexed, and didn’t know what was going on himself, so he couldn’t tell them, either. They gave him a special type of cybernetic implants throughout his body, a kind that would morph along with his shiftable body, increase his strength, etc. So, after the agreed amount of time of experimentation, Synne was given in payment an elite-class experiment that was already dumped by the military because it was too expensive to make. The Kinesse. After receiving the weapons, Synneschal wanted to know about the creator of the skyboard. The scientists actually said that the man had disappeared, supposedly angry about the mass-production of his invention after the military had forced him to sell the rights to it. They did direct him to his lab, however, and Synne broke in, using his new weapons, searching for the man who could maybe tell him a way to get back to his mother, so he could apologize. He found nothing but an assortment of notes regarding the hovering machine that he called the H3-0342 Lark. The true name of the Skyboard, but Synne liked his own name choice much better. So, after scouring the place, Synne found a pad of paper containing tons of rows of those shapes, and one of them just might lead back home. He’s travelled through tons of time periods of his world, and every one of was astonishingly different. Because he’s been on the board too long, his age froze at a handsome 25. He has practically given up on finding his original time, and merely seeks adventure in the different “whens” of Nexus.

Re: Lineage of the Shademan
Name: Zolf Kadreen age: 18 years of age. Race: Pseudo Humanoid Pseudo Humanoids are a very rare race of human-like creatures, but are born with the capability of amazing feats of strength and magic not possible by most Homo sapiens. Their bodies have very mysterious properties. Some pseudo humanoids have discovered the ability to expand and stretch their bodies, while others can spit fire, some master the ability to liquefy themselves, etc. All pseudos have learned the ability to shape shift objects while using only their hands. Pseudos have been rumored by many people to be alien, others claim they are the reincarnated children of a deity of some sort. Gender: Male Hair: His long, untamed hair is a startling shade of Indigo purple Eyes: His irises are a vacant looking whitish color that seems to almost meld with the Sclera (whites) of his eyes. Skin: His skin is a light tan color Weight: 100 lbs. Height: 5’ 9” Weapon: Zolf was born with a rare condition, he has all of the pseudo sapien abilities, his body seems to know them, but he does not. His body’s powers seem to execute at random. Besides his body, he also fights with his bone saber. He carries many vials of strange chemical compounds he has developed in the many pockets of his pants. Armor: Zolf believes that armor holds him down, so he simply doesn’t wear it. Strengths: His eyes are extremely keen, and his body is extremely durable. His body can bond to all other elements, but not all of the time. He is also very swift, and spends most of his time defending. Weaknesses: his regular physical strength when not randomly changing abilities isn’t that great, and his resilience leaves a little something to be desired. Skills/Magic: Random Power Shifts and Chemical Compounds are his only skills, and he only knows two spells, Haste and Shield. Appearance: He wears a simple, white, long, unbuttoned T-Shirt that reveals his moderately muscular chest, and a pair of baggy black pants with many pockets. He is barefooted most of the time, and wears a couple of ragged, white, fingerless gloves. He never seems to be listening to you, due to his eyes empty shade. Even when Zolf is near you, he always seems distant. he is rather tall and gangly, but his appearance conceals his speed and agility. Personality: Zolf seems to have more than one personality. He is perfectly cheerful and careless one moment, extremely worried about his condition the next. He has been afraid to get close to anyone, because of what could happen. Zolf never really tries to start a fight, but he is usually the one to finish it. Biography: Zolf is one of the last pseudo humanoids, as both of his parents died in a chemical explosion, when a group of scientists had taken them in for testing when Zolf was just a boy. The scientists had insisted that the testing was going to be completely safe, and exposed Zolf’s mother and father to certain chemical compounds. Apparently, the researchers did think it was safe, because they all died in the explosion as well. A young woman named Sonia, who found him alone at home, 3 days after his parents died, raised Zolf. As he reached the age of 18, his dormant Pseudo Human powers took effect, and he left Sonia’s care, afraid that he would hurt her. He then set off on a personal journey, to find meaning in his life. He has wandered through many lands, in search of purpose, and perhaps a cure to his unstable condition. He has gained many friends during his quest, but no real enemies. Since learning how his parents died, Zolf has been determined to learn more about science. He has learned many combinations of chemicals that can be used as weapons in battle, and he has been devising a substance that may cure his random state. Zolf’s parents were Ovirian and Phailya Kadreen. He loved them dearly, and was deeply saddened by their loss. He sometimes thinks he sees them, but his mind is simply in denial that his parents are dead. Zolf mainly fights for good, but his sometimes-selfish nature leads him towards wrong decisions. When Zolf does fight, it’s usually for sport, and he tends to enjoy it. “Makes my life excitin’.” as he would put it. He occasionally receives rides to other worlds by riding a mystic dragon with Maximilian Cronqvist, a friend he met a few months ago.

Re: Lineage of the Shademan
Name: Ja'gan Red Sky Ender Title: The Grey Mage Age: 30 Race: Human Gender: Male Weight: 130 lbs. Height: Approx. 6 ft. tall Eyes: Ja'gan's eyes have the look of wisdom beyond his age, weathered by pain, loss, and betrayal. His eyes are usually squinted into slits, as if he is struggling to see. Blood: Even the blood of Ja'gan is turning a greyish hue. If it touches any other flesh besides that of the grey mage, it will discolor the skin of the opponent for several days. Mentality and Personality: The Apocrypha Ja'gan carried in his satchel bore a code on the second page, the code of the Order of Shikia. Ja'gan lives by this code, which states: Thou shalt not be vengeful lest thy enemy striketh first. Thou must be humble in all things. Thy power must only be used for righteousness. Thou must defend innocence, for it is sacred. Betray the Order, and the very power you wield will consume thee. Protect your allies, for friendship is a gift from above. A key important factor in this is knowing that as you learn grey magic, your soul slowly is consumed by the force of the grey magick, and as your soul is gradually affected by this, it is perfectly fine as long as you follow the code of the order. If you do not, the grey magick corrupts your very spirit, and your soul destroys itself trying to break free. Ja'gan knew of this as he first began reading the book, yet his strong character ignored the thoughts of using these powers for useless, trivial things. He was young, and truly wanted such a great burden on his shoulders, a great responsibility. To this day he continues to follow the order, for it gives him inner strength. Besides this, Ja'gan is a kind, yet mysterious individual, and the tragedy of his being is that people wish to betray him as he remains loyal, his loved ones die as he lives, and he suffers great pain but wishes such things on no one. Magic: Two hundred years ago, exactly one hundred wise sages, who all felt that normal magic wasn't potent enough, began to develop grey magic, also known as the art of Shikia, named after it's creator. They also felt that this magic should be used for justice, and should be used only by those with enough discipline to wield such a mighty force. They built a huge monastery, and invited the wild youth that lived in the forests nearby to become their students. One of the students, by the name of Jaerich, began learning the art of Shikia. He eventually began to believe that with this power, he could do anything. He attempted to take over the monastery, and the result of the Grey magic being used in such an impure fashion, namely a battle between the elders and a number of students, turned them all to stone. Eventually the statues that had been living things crumbled, and in every spot they once stood, stone flowers grew. Shikia, the originator of grey magic, had died long before Jaerich's wicked revolt, and her statue stands in the depths of the monastery's lowest floor, a monument to what the place once stood for. Perhaps Shikia's vengeful spirit was their undoing? It's probable, but no one truly knows. Grey Magic, has the ability to mimic the power and appearance of other elements, in addition to many non-elemental attacks such as: Static Shell- His hand glows grey, and the resulting touch temporarily freezes his enemies in place, their bodies encased in a static-like shell, which blocks out all senses. It also temporarily alters the person under the spell's molecular structure, allowing people to pass through them, as if they were non-existent. Grey Ultima- By opening his left hand and charging the attack, he releases a pure, wide Beam of powerful Grey Magic, which causes the surrounding area to darken by absorbing all light from surrounding objects. The enemy that it strikes loses their color for a brief period of time, forgetting how to use every magic technique they know during that period, and it causes Ja'gan himself to temporarily regain color, and this allows him to fight with much more physical prowess than usual. Note: he can't use grey magic while his body is colored. Grey Matter- a technique that needs to be charged for a long period of time, this releases grey energy in the form of a cube. After it's composition is complete, Ja'gan tosses it at his enemy, and it liquefies on impact, wrapping them in viscous grey material, which holds them in place for Ja'gan to get a few blows in. *Note: these are only key spells. Ja'gan can cast a few others. Also: the potency of Grey magick depends on the mood of the caster. It also allows him to levitate things, and other miscellaneous common magical abilities. Ja'gan says "Flariez" after casting raw grey magic, and then it takes the shape of a flame; the same technique works for lighting and water with "Lectriez" and "Aquariez." Weapon: Ja'gan carries the blade known as Bellero, which bears the insignia of his family, a raven carrying a snake in its talons. It has been granted the power to dispel all magic it touches by the might of Shikia. The blade is an ivory white, the intricate design is red, and the handle is an ashy black. It once belonged to his father, and was an ordinary blade then, but now it is considered a powerful relic. Armour: Ja'gan can use his magic to surround himself with a protective grey aura, which lasts for a limited amount of time, and deflects magic. Only physical blows harm him while this barrier is up, and it only works three times per battle. Energy: Ja'gan's greyish skin and hair seems to indicate that he is elderly, and that his physical prowess would be very limited, but the opposite is true. Because of the same magic that turns him this bland color, he is allowed much more energy than a standard human, and if he is low on magic, he can sacrifice physical energy for mana. Strength: Ja'gan is extremely silent, and the rumor that is passed through towns is that he doesn't breathe at all, and is a ghost. This is false. In fact, whenever he does breathe, he exhumes a faint wisp of smoke. He has been known to sneak up on those that have stolen gold from him, and steal it back without their notice. His swordplay skills are also exceptional, and of course, his magic is a major strength. Weakness: Ja'gan, due to his code, is opposed to the murder or injury of innocents, and he isn't too good at fist fighting. When those of righteousness are harmed around him, he feels a pain in his chest, right on his heart. Why this happens, no one knows. Astral Projection: One of Ja'gan's new, yet rarely used skills, Ja'gan now possesses the awesome ability to separate his soul from his body, in the form of a semi-physical essence composed of equal parts soul and mana. When he does this, his original body turns to stone. In the essence form, Ja'gan can pass through solid objects at will, and move at increased speeds, casting magic with greater power. This is risky, because if Ja'gan stays in this form, he is at risk of being pulled into the afterlife, permanently. He can still be injured like this, but it is much harder and you'll have better luck at hurting him with magic. In this form, he basically looks like a static-like mixture of grays and whites that faintly resemble his body's shape, with ectoplasmic tendrils that reach out in all directions, and white eyes. Appearance: Ja'gan's skin is a light greyish color, unlike that of a human, and his hair is a dark grey. His fine hair always hangs down straight, with the exception of the rooster tail at the back. The large, crooked straw hat that he usually wears usually covers this up. Ja'gan wears a thin white shirt that he covers with a button-less, long grey jacket covered in ineligible symbols that reaches to the floor. He made that jacket from a grey tapestry he found in the temple of the Grey Sages. He wears thick black breeches that are partially covered up by his tall grey boots. Ja'gan's build is about average, but slightly tall. He is moderately muscular, and it is slightly visible through his thin white shirt. He wears a long necklace with the emblem of a grey crescent moon around his neck, and always has his sword on hand. History: Ja'gan was born into a rich family, and it seemed his father was the only one who cared about him. Until he reached the age of 18, Ja'gan's father Arzael would take him on long trips to the forest, where he taught him how to live in the wild, by way of hunting and gathering. Ja'gan's life began turning for the worse when Arzael died from a terrible affliction. Ja'gan chose to leave his family shortly after, to set out on his own. Ja'gan encountered an ancient temple during his travels. The entire place was crawling with vines, and stone flowers decorated the entrance. Ja'gan was enthralled, and he explored the place. He found the only company for him here was the thousands of stone flowers that decorated the walls. He pushed open a rusty door, the only thing in this place that wasn't grey, and descended down the stairs into the basement. In that damp, stygian, subterranean vault he found a book entitled "The Apocrypha of the Grey." He read from it, and discovered the former inhabitants of this ancient place were grey magi, a mysterious group of magic users solely dedicated to magic revolving around the sacred color grey. The Apocrypha was a compilation of all the Grey magic spells they had ever created, there being over a thousand in all. Ja'gan found a large tapestry on the wall, and using the sewing skills his mother taught him, he made it into a simple cloak. In the basement, he also found a tall straw hat, and put it on, also. He then spent many months in that empty place, studying the old tome. Eventually he left, but not before thanking the Mages, wherever they were, by bowing before the Monastery's entrance. He has spent his life since, honing his sword skills and Grey magic, in case he ever had to defend himself, not being one to be pushed around. He encountered another man by the name of Velios, who betrayed his friendship to Ja'gan by attempting to take the Apocrypha from him while he slept. Ja'gan awoke, and stopped the thief, who he had saved from a wild beast earlier. Velios was greedy, and he wanted all of that power to himself, once he had seen Ja'gan save him using that very book. Ja'gan left that town, knowing that the greedy heart of Velios is plotting against him. The next important chapter of Ja'gan's life is his return to the temple from which he was taught so much, to meet the very spirit of the person who developed grey magic, Mistress Shikia herself. He then learned that Grey Magic was actually a sort of extension to the soul, magic that only those with souls that already have similar moral codes to the code of the order, could master completely. He then went to war with the resurrected Jaerich and his followers. In exchange for his victory, his sword was given a mystical magic dispelling ability. He also received the crescent moon amulet, enhanced power over grey magic, and the power to call upon the spirit of Shikia.

Re: Lineage of the Shademan
Name: Attica Starr
Age: 20 Occupation: Mobile Suit Pilot; Amateur Necromancer Race: Human Gender: Female Weight: 150 lbs. Height: 5’ 6’’ Eyes: Green with flecks of gold. Hair: Red with streaks of gold. Appearance: Attica’s hair is thickest in front, with the sides and bangs in a sort of spiked style that hangs low in front and tapers to the back around the base of her head. The flecks in her eyes as well as those in the fibers in her hair follicles glitter brightly during thirty minute intervals due to her nano-machines performed regulated tasks. Her face is heart shaped, with high cheekbones and a widow’s peak hidden beneath her hair. Her chin is softly pointed, her lips somewhat pouty. As for her body, while not tall, she has maintained a lightly muscled physique in order to maintain emergency functions when piloting her Mobile Suit. Clothing Inventory- 1x Black Hooded Cape 1x White Tank Top 1x Golden Lip Ring 1x Black Overalls 1x Black Boots Hand-To-Hand Combat Weapons: The Repair Gun- On those rare occasions when the Mobile Suit is not prepped for battle, the multifunctional tool that Attica uses to repair her Mobile Suit is a handy weapon. It has the appearance of a gun with a long silencer and a hanging large ammo clip. It can fire automatic screws, which can drill into flesh, discharge detonating cartridges, which explode with oil at temperatures up to 100 degrees Celsius. Also, as a side function, it also shoots a grappling talon that can pull things close as well as pull her to things that are heavier than her. Thrusters: Attica always wears four thrusters when outside of her Mobile Suit. They can be used as weapons, but are more useful as transportation if the Deploy Bike isn't available or is disabled. She has one thruster for each forelimb, as well as a pack on her back to stabilize her movements. The Pipe- Also a tool for “repairing” the Mobile Suit when other things don’t work. A fairly ordinary pipe at first glance, with a bend on one end. The pipe is very heavy, and is the reason Attica’s left arm (her swinging arm) is more toned than her right. However, it has one more attribute. It has been ritually prepared for use as a staff for necromancy, which is sorcery concerning the Dead. She almost never uses her necromancy in battle, though, because of the taboo involved. Armour: There is only one article of armor on Attica, and that is the belted plate that is attached internally to her ribcage over her heart, to protect that vital area. It is virtually invisible to those without an X-Ray machine Necromancy:All Attica has been able to do so far with her Dark Arts is trap souls in bottles and torture the dead into telling her of their exploits or secrets. She has not found a use for the souls yet. Neither of these skills is offensive. Strengths: Her no. 1 strengths are dexterity and intelligence, that coupled with the Baphomet Suit giving her an edge on firepower, while not so much speed as the thrusters on the suit require an opponent of equal speed to really require it. Decreasing the power of the thrusters is a complex activity that was not in mind during the suit’s design. Weaknesses: Attica has an only very basic grasp on bare-handed fighting tactics. Without her weapons or Mobile Suit, plus the Deploy Bike, she is out of her comfy technological element and is very vulnerable to all sorts of attacks. Also, she has no armor outside of her vehicles, which is incredibly dangerous for her. Personality: Attica first appears shy. This is not the case. She just cares very little for most people and will avoid those she cannot imagine integral to her purposes. She could be considered by some as very sexual in nature, but she rarely shows it. The glint in her eye is usually the only sign she’s interested in some prospective guy. Attica always carries the chip on her shoulder that she was never the top of her class, and so is incredibly competitive and rude when it comes to things like fights or contests. Also, Attica is very touchy about her illegal practices. The use of the dead from her previous battles is a touchy matter to her, because many would find it disturbing. Her mother believes she is just going through a little phase, so she doesn’t pay it very much attention. She is much more intimidating to most when they learn all her previous opponents never got away and simply became fodder for her dark experiments. The accolades of respect she has received for her Grade A performance in missions so far have started to get to her head recently. History: Attica Starr graduated nearly at the top of her class. Her better, the Pilot Valedictorian Leon Hancock, was supposed to get the honor of piloting the Suit she calls the Baphomet, but was mysteriously killed in a training exercise before he was actually able to use it. Because Attica was known for her Occult interests, she lost her hard-won close friends, who believed she had something to do with the horrific accident that caused his death. However, the Academy couldn't prove anything, and so Attica was given the ability to change the name of the Suit, which she did, and was assigned to her daily tasks of infiltrating and disarming the weapons of the Space Alliance that had rebelled from the Earth Colonies. While most other pilots have entered psychoanalysis about the horror and chaos that is inherent in the abominations of war, Attica already refused such services. She rarely is ever phased by any combat situation, even though her assignments are far more deadly than the ones her comrades face in open space. One day, she made a point to use Necromancy to resurrect Leon and ask him what went wrong with his Mobile Suit. After he apologized for how he always one-upped her, she proceeded to bash him back into the earth with her Pipe and then exited the summoning circle. The Assault Vehicles Name: Mobile Suit Baphomet Design: ![]() Height: 18’’ 2’ Weight: 3.6 metric tons Armor: Heavy Explanation: This Suit is much smaller than any regular model on the battlefield at the moment, measuring only slightly above eighteen feet in height. Because of that, it is suited for special operations that don’t have as much danger as far as large numbers, but moreso in more closed and specialized environments involving recon and intelligence missions. Strengths & Weapons: Has shield-mounted heat rod whip on left arm and beam sword attached to right hip. The sword is fed by a roping wire that attaches to the main power core of the mech, which enables it to cut through most types of armor and flesh by modifying the energy intensity used. The shield can retract the rod for transport. Very good defensive armoring and build. Cockpit reinforced with the Lodium that makes up the entire frame of the unit. Bipedal movement lends powerful dodging abilities. Teleports to headquarters after the pilot evacuates to prevent theft. Weaknesses: Slow to react to close and human-sized enemies because of intense thruster motion. Limited charge for heat rod. Several weakened areas on the machine because of limited budget after past encounters, and Lodium is more easily damaged by fire-based moves than other attacks, as repeated heating actually weakens the outer shell of the armor. Also, every critical strike on the Mobile Suit actually causes it to use more power, which heats up the interior in a fashion that can leave Attica in a very hot spot. Name: Deploy Bike Marduk Design: ![]() Height: 5'' 1' Weight: 1.2 metric tons Armor: Moderate Explanation: Attica discovered the bike was possessed when it sought her out, being a necromancer, seeking her talents to acquire a potential host to transfer its soul into. Apparently, it was once a vampire whose plans to attain godhood went terribly awry. After some remodeling, she installed the handy undead bike into the back of her Mobile Suit in place of an escape vehicle of some mundane competence. The spirit holds Attica to her promise, as soon as the girl's powers are great enough that she could do as the being asks. Until then, he will remain her servant. Strengths & Weapons: Much more travel-friendly than Baphomet, the Marduk is a sleek model of bike that is equipped with a mounted turret gun, cleated wheels, a missile launcher on each side, and…a taste for blood. In exchange for absorbing the blood of her enemies, Marduk retains the ability to regenerate, as well as reach amazing speeds (but only in moonlight,) as well as summon small familiars with its dark power. When she activates the bike and it launches with her out into the fray. Weaknesses: Marduk has very little armor for protecting its rider, though it tries to make up for that with speed. It is also encased in a layer of Lodium around both wheels and lining the sides, but the seat where Attica remains perched is completely vulnerable.
