Inara
Name: Inara
Age: Unknown, but appears between 15-18 Race: Half-human/half-fairy Sex: Female Hair: Red hair, almost orange in color. It is shoulder length; layered with thick curls. Eyes: Deep forest green. Weight: 112 lbs; slender. Height: 5'7" Weapon: Two: a whip-like weapon that stuns on contact, and a simple dagger. Strengths: Inara possesses a natural leadership and a logical approach to obstacles that cross her path. She never acts on first notion, but tends to think her actions through and find their advantages and consequences. She has beatiful features and tends to attract men, and she uses this to her advantage for sly schemes and tricks. Weakness: Her logic is a disadvantage to her. Because she has to think out all of her actions, she sometimes pauses midbattle to strategize, becoming an open target for an attack. Her lack of a suitable armor leaves her open for wounds, although most of which she is able to heal. She also tends to be senstive to critisicm or being ignored, due to a troubled past. If her emotions become strong, some of her untrained magic may come out, causing her to do things she doesn't mean to. This is mainly inflicted upon those around her at the time. Skills/Magic: She has healing magic, due to her fairy heritage. She can heal decent sized wounds and cuts, but nothing too dramatic. She also has the ability to put creatures to a sort of dream-like daze for short times (around ten minutes or so) in which they are not fully aware of what is occurring in the world around them. Appearance: She is tall and slender, and would be described as an attractive woman. She wears a short skirt, a green-like tan in color. Her top is large enough to cover her chest and upper abdomen, and appears to be made out of leaves, though underneath the wears small armor made of oak wood. On her feet are leather boots, rising up her shin to right beneath her knee. She has a necklace an orange-colored stone in it, which is one of her most valued posessions. Personality: Inara is a secretive person, keeping her thoughts and opinions to herself. She appears to be shy and fragile, though she is a decent fighter. Being very curious, she often wonders why things happen or what caused them to happen. Because of this, she possesses wisdom beyond her years. She tends to be awkward around others until she knows them fairly well, in which case she will open up slightly but still be very closed about her true feelings. Biography: Inara was born into a royal fairy family, but was part human. The reason for this was unknown, since she came from the pure-blood royals. However, her parents were ashamed of her human half, and cruelly forced her to leave their castle. At the time, she was only an infant. A young woman claimed the Inara and took her in as her own in a nearby village. The woman was full-human, and was often confused about Inara's fairy magic. Because of this, Inara has many abilities she may never learn to use to her advantage. Once Inara had become mature enough, the woman told her of her past and her fairy heritage. Inara had always adored fairies, and this pleased her beyond anything. The woman tried to warn Inara of her cruel parents, but Inara ignored her and set of the her home to meet the fairies that had brought her into this world. When Inara reached the town, she was not recognized by the people. They paid her no mind while she made her way to the castle. When she approached the guard, she told him that she was the daughter of the king and queen, and watched him laugh in her face. "Do you really think I'll believe that? Besides, even if your claim is true, the daughter that they had before was abandoned. Do you happen to be half-human?" She flinched, but replied steadily, "Yes, yes I am. And I am Inara, daughter of these royalties. Your story is unkind and matches that of my friend, but I must meet my parents. Whether they accept me or not is for me to find out." "Fine, but I will escort you closely for the safety of our rulers." With that, Inara was lead through the large oak doors the protected the throne room of the king and queen. The guard stood between Inara and her parents, and spoke to them as if she wasn't in existence. "Their is a child, she says that she is your daughter." The king stood up and stared into his daughters eager face. It was not a fatherly gaze, but a sturdy stare of a ruler. "Is there something I may help you with, Inara? Did you come with a complaint about a lack of food, or is there some filthy creature eating your crops. We've been having that problem lately. Well, hurry up now, let's hear it! I don't have all day, I am a busy king." With that Inara looked into the eyes of her father and felt no love in any form. She wasn't the kind to hate, but this feeling that was rising up inside of her was a mixture of unsure hatred and pure sorrow. Her own father treated her as if she was a lowly peasant he had never met in his life. If he hadn't of addressed her by her name, she would have thought that he didn't know her. She looked over to her mother, who was gazing dreamily at a place on the wall to the left of Inara, and appeared bored and maybe a bit sleepy. She could not find it in her to respond to the king, who she refused to believe was her father. She slowly backed away, and then turned in a full run and left the castle. She didn't stop by the woman's house, she just kept running until she collapsed into a heap of tears in front of a tree. She rose, got a hold of herself, and slowly walked to her more recent, welcoming, home. As she entered, the woman spoke to her softly, "I'm truly sorry, dear. I tried-" Inara stared in disbelief as she realized what she had just done. She looked over to where the woman previously stood, and gazed straight into the eyes of a wolf-like creature. "Hatred," she muttered. "This is what hatred is like. It makes one do things they don't mean, and will regret. I'm sorry, m'am, that you are this creature. It...slipped." With that she grabbed a few things that she would need, a small food supply, some clothing, and her whip and daggers. From now on, she only had one goal: to find out how people could be so cruel, could hate like that. She then set off on her own, with nothing but anger and sorrow whirling inside of her.
