Weapon: Taking up space in a sheath on his hip is Pyrkagia, a sword made of a rare metal found only in the Fourth Circle of Hell. Its edge is fashioned to look like it has an everlasting flame. The hilt is a darkened crimson color, and has several demonic markings along the blade.

Armor: The only thing that Malik wears that could be considered armor would be his cloak. A gift from the Seventh Circle upon Malik’s birthday, it is crafted of threads of solidified and hardened blood; the blood of the most violent heretics that were ever sent into the Inferno. The blood produced from these people, when formed into objects, is virtually indestructible. It does contain trace amounts of Inferno blood within it, giving Malik the ability to control the cloak at will.

Strengths: Born in the land of the dead and thus already born dead, normal means of combat will not easily wound or kill Malik. His demonic heritage makes this especially hard. Such as a stab to the heart or chest with a regular weapon, these will not faze Malik in the slightest. In addition, flames, man-made or magical, cannot harm the demon. His vision is also impeccable at any time of day or night, needing no light to see.

Weaknesses: Water, while life-giving to most species, is poisonous to Malik. Its touch to him is like acid, and to even think of ingesting it would quite possibly kill him. Like most demons, Malik has a natural weakness for anything holy. His narcissistic tendencies can be also considered a weakness, for if a person appealed to him in such a way, his guard would be most likely let down or he would become enraged.

Skills/Magic

Magic:

Inferno - This liquid composes Malik’s blood. It is a combination of a large amount of sulfur with various other minerals and liquids, which makes it incredibly lethal to other species. It is darker hue of crimson than a normal human’s blood, thick, has iridescent quality to it, and is always at a temperature of 98ºc.

Phantom Essence - Malik is able to create what he calls ‘Phantom Essence’, a mist-like substance that rises up from the ground around him when summoned. Its initial use is for creating a shell of an item or person, such as a weapon for Malik to wield.

Veiled Restraint - An ability that Malik created for use on his own personal subjects, and people whom his own blood has been bound to, such as Knives Eclipses, via either a binding contract or some other seal. This stops any and all creatures that serve under him from physically hurting Malik, as well as making a restriction on how far away the subject can stray from him. Malik can change this and end a subject’s servitude under him at any time, but he rarely does so, keeping many under his control if he should ever need them again.


Skills:

Flame Amalgamation - A power passed down through the generations, he is able to meld with nearby flames; whether those fires are only the light from a candle, or a roaring inferno. He is also able to use a nearby fire as though he were looking directly out of it, even if he is quite a distance away from that fire.

Inferno Buckler - A skill he has obtained using Inferno is a shield formed from his blood. He can summon this shield in various different shapes and sizes, strengths, and types; and as mentioned before, his main weakness is water. If enough water drenches the shield, it will be brought down almost immediately.

Inferno Barrage - Crushing his hand into a fist, Malik cuts into his palms with his fingernails. When he deems that enough blood has come out of the wound, he closes his hand again and crushes the Inferno until it solidifies in his grasp, creating a small crimson stone. While it may look harmless in nature, it is incredibly volatile. When thrown, it will implode upon impact with any solid object.

Duplication - This is basically a technique that uses Phantom Essence to create copies of himself. It is naturally harmless and is ghost-like in appearance. He uses it as an intimidation tactic, and can create as many as he would like. This copy of him is almost a real being; it breaths, blinks, and acts as natural as he would. He can manipulate its actions and movements with his mind, and enjoys using this tactic to frighten people.

Combat Style: Malik faces most of his challenges relying primarily on his cunning, his knowledge of his own occult magics, manipulation and a quick mouth to spin lies. On those occasions when Pyrkagia must be drawn, he uses a combination of underhanded and dirty tricks to fight and win.

Appearance


Personality: This young man is mildly narcissistic, as well as arrogant; he retains very little conscience about his acts towards other beings. His upbringing has spoilt him to the point where he finds nearly every other being to be of a lesser importance than him. On the off chance that he would meet someone that seems to be his better, Malik does humble himself to an extent, but never going farther than a bow.

History: Hell. Land of the Dead, where sinners’ souls go to spend eternity until the Apocalypse commences. In the beginning, Lucifer deemed that his kingdom was too vast for him to rule alone, so thus he divided the Underworld into Nine Circles, keeping the ninth as his own domain. Malik was born to the Lord of Inferno, Donati Vassago, ruler of the 2nd Circle, where humans who sinned out of Lust were sent to remain in a giant fiery tornado. He had no biological mother, being created by his father from his own flesh. For 1400 years, Malik was treated like royalty, which spoilt him to the core, until he found every other demon that was not in a position of power like him disgusting. During this time, his Father had made preparations with the world above, to ensure that his son would carry on his bloodline. Donati had made a deal with a being known as Raenef, the Overlord of the Abyss, for the life of his daughter, Knives Eclipses. She would be the first of Malik’s subjects, and in time, courtesans.

In time, Malik’s skill progressed to a point where he thought that they could grow no further. That was, unless he entered the Tornado, as all Inferno Lords had to at one point in their life. It would boost his power to a level unmatched by any, except his own father. On his 14th Birthday, the ritual was performed, and Malik entered the Tornado and faced the vicious torture meant only for the souls of the undead. When he reemerged more than a week later, he was no longer a boy. His body had aged to that of an elderly teenager, and his own power had risen by levels untold. Celebrations followed, in which many gifts from the other Circles arrived for him, including his cloak and Pyrkagia.

In the years that followed, Malik grew ever more malevolent, more powerful, and developed mild narcissistic tendencies. Soon enough, he would even gain the throne. That was until underlings of the king, rallied by Zarath, Keeper of the Tornado, brought an uprising to the 2nd Circle and brought down Donati and the rest of the royalty. Fortunately, Zarath had not been able to locate the young heir to the throne, as he had already fled to the surface world to keep himself alive. No trace of his escape was found, and it would not be able to be located as long as the 2nd Circle was in turmoil.
