Shien Yanai
Name: Shien Yanai
Age: 51 Race: Unknown Sex: Female Hair: Deep Purple Eyes: Dark Red Skin: Lightly tanned Weight: 161 pounds Height: 6"1 Weapons: Alare, a katana covered in intricate designs. The metal is a dull red colour and it is extremely strong. The blades origin is well known and infact it is inscibed into the blade. "I was forged in blood, bound unwilling. I am Vengeance, I am Destruction." Alare was created during the War of the Three Stone by the Al'Sater, the Sky People. To trap a soul within a weapon like this was their ultimate form of punishment. These weapons have such great power because of the soul trapped within it. Alare, which means Prophised, was very powerful indeed. Although much about the person who was bound in Alare is unknown it is said that she led to the downfall of the Al'Sater. Ragnarok, a knightsword shrouded in mystery. It is said that it was created in Death itself, and given that the blade has no physical form that legend may be true. It has appeared throughout history, but there is rarely a clear indication of what happens to the blade afterward. One thing that is sure is that nobody has had possesion of it for any great lenght of time. It is believed that the blade is cursed. When Shien draws from the life force of another the blade appears in her right hand, but unless she draws from another person soon it will disappear. Armour: Shien wears only some light leather armour that is as flexible as possible. Magic: She has never had any skill with magic but her mysterious heritage gives her a great understanding as to the nature of magic being used around her. However she has some innate magics and possession of Ragnarok and Alare has given her some interesting abilities. Blend: Makes Shien invisible in shade or at night however if she moves she is likely to be spotted. Jump: A Dragoon ability it allows her to leap great distances and land unscathed, it also works with falling. Blast: Once she has gathered enough energy she can release a blast of it through Ragnarok. Purge: She can for need of a better word purge herself of any toxins. ManaBurn: Everytime she strikes a foe she can turn its magical or spiritual energy into raw energy, light and heat mostly, injuring an opponent. Absorb: Drain a person of their spiritual energy granting her enhanced strenght aswell as activating Ragnarok. However should she absorb too much at any one time the conciousness within Alare will use all the life energy in her body to recreate its physical form, thus killing her. Strenghts: Because of her lineage she has enhanced sight, hearing and sense of smell. Aswell as that her endurance is much greater than that of many other people, this means she can run long distances for extended periods of time and needs little sleep. Weaknesses: Magic in wgeneral is a problem, she may be able to anticipate it but she has no defense against it. She is in an enternal battle ith Alare for control of her body, this battle can cause her to lose concentration whist fighting another. Appearance: She looks quite startling at first, but you get over that. The leather armour is entirely black, for obvious reasons. The chest peice itself is more of a collection of straps than a single peice of armour. She has a tatoo thats runs from the knuckles at the back of her right hand all the way along her arm, across her chest and then up under her jaw and up past her left ear. The entire thing is designed to look like scales thin at the beginning and then thin again at the end. Personality: She trusts no one, infact she avoids any sort of close friendship. Prefering to do things her own way she will often ignore advice from others. Regardless of this she can be both warm and friendly, however she routinely surpresses that side of her. ********************************** Bio: Found in a cave frozen in time Shien is unaware of her true chronological age, but when she was found she was around six years old biologically. Having only a distorted memory of her past, which she was told to ignore, she had no idea who she was or where she came from. Beyond her name she knew nothing of herself. She was found by a group of Magician's who were in the service of the local Baron, Hareni, trying to extricate a particularly awkward elemental. They felt the power of the magic used to freeze her emanating from the cave, chose to investigate, as soon as they entered the cave they broke some form of ward, and so destroyed the spell. She was taken to the Baron's fort and subjected to a few basic tests, finding nothing out of the ordinary bar her appearance. The Baron decided to keep her around for a while, more to be used as an accessory to be shown off at parties than any nobler cause. She attracted a lot of interest naturally and the discovery of her past became somewhat of a fad among the nobility of Herretu, an almost entirely human kingdom. However, like all fads she was eventually forgotten about and the Baron Hareni, not wanting her around anymore, sold her to the Farnar Assassin Clan. Showing an amazing proficiency with swords, she was quickly given a more intensive training. Part of her training was learning to read and write and the use numbers and equations, another thing in which she excelled. During the training however she developed a fatal blood disease called Merilas and the Clan disowned her. At the age of 10 she joined the millions of children in the Imbradar Slums, many of whom suffered the same infliction. She hooked up with a street tear by the name of Joaddim, he had the same affliction. The disease was slow acting, the initial symtom being bleeding from the eyes and none knew of either a cure or how it spread. After that you could go several years without any change before the headaches started, they would get worse and worse until eventually they could blind you. Then one night you would go to sleep and wouldn't wake the next day. After two years Joaddim died, feeling no connection to anyone else or a reason to stay there she escaped the slums and entered the main city. Ninety-five percent of people last a week there before they are sent back to slums, hung or sent to the slave gangs. Finally her bad luck stopped and she was picked up by the Dragoon's, she impressed one of the Master's when she held her own against three Watch Militia. During her tenure with the Dragoon's her remarkable sword skill was once again noticed. She was in a class that mainly consisted of nobles children and prodigy's, given that she was not apparently good enough to fit into the prodigy classification and most certainly didn't fit in with the nobles her only solace and companionship was with her teachers. It was the same for almost all of the five years she spent with them. Nevertheless, she took the training like a fish to water. Mastering the basics in almost record time she was respected by all, eventually even a few of her classmates. However all that changed when one of the boys in her class, Linerd, pretended to be infatuated with her. Naturally she wasn't interested in his attentions by eventually she decided to give him some time to prove himself. Which he did, he vehemently defended her from his fellow nobles while all the time enjoying the private joke. Eventually he bedded her, the next day he turned on her. Claiming she used some sort of spell or enchantment to lure him to her bed, she was cast out by the Dragoon's and once again on the streets. Judging by her almost eternal headache she knew she would be dead within weeks. Not wanting to die in the dank city she decided to head out by boat for the continent of Sargerhad. First she had things to do, she tracked Linerd down and tried to kill him, unsuccessfully. Deciding to leave him with an unconcealable facial scar, she considered the scar to her honour was matched by this. Sargerhad was a wild continent; the only settlements inland were the Dwarven cities of Last Hold and Storm Peak and the Elven forest city of Gamm'salarr, beyond that there was a series of ports and that was the extent of the habitation. As she set out she heard rumors of the vicious assault on Prince Linerd, she never knew he was a Prince. The boat ride was far from uneventful with three storms, five pirate ships and a Great Leviathan giving her reason never to want to travel the sea again. Thankfully there was a full company of Dwarven scouts on board, and they made short work of both pirates and sea monster alike. One of the Dwarves, a guy by the name of Lagon, was more than happy to aid Shien and they formed a warm friendship. The seaport she arrived at was Thunders Rest, a Dwarven port; meaning to was built into the cliff-face. It was easily the most impressive sight she had even seen, and rather surprisingly, it was filled with people from just about every race imaginable. From adventurers travelling in groups, to treasure hunters looking to find old maps of the continent before the War of the Three-Stones. Traders attempting to flog their wares and entrepreneurs looking for everything and anything that might sell. It took about four minutes for her naivety to show through, thankfully Lagon and a friendly group of Dwarves steered her away from buying something useless at an extravagant price. After finding out that this was her first time in any Dwarven city, they were determined to give her the grand tour, which she agreed to reluctantly. After the tour, which literally took seven hours, they took her to a bar. Where she got well and truly drunk on the free ale, whiskey and just about every other alcoholic beverage the Dwarves recommended, which was about all of them. At some point in the night she let slip why she came here, and that instantly killed the Dwarves cheer. They offered her a place to stay for a few days before they headed out for Storm Peak; they said they knew a place along the way that they thought everyone should see before they die. The Dwarves Lagon, Shaller, Karg, Asler and Kremmer were jovial companions, happily giving her the time of her life free of charge. Those few days in Thunders Rest were the best of her life. By the time she was ready to embark she was sure they was no variety of food, drink or entertainment available in Thunder's Rest that she had not indulged in. Nevertheless the journey to Storm Peak was not an easy one, and she had to prepare accordingly. Purchasing a serviceable longsword and a good shortsword she decided not to encumber herself with any armour. As the Dwarves pointed out as they sparred the morning before they left, she was incredibly fast and so could easily block any blow that came her way. As they left they passed by some massive gates and hundreds of armed soldiers standing guard both outside and inside. Shaller, who was apparently something of a historian, was more than happy to explain. Before the War of the Three-Stones Sargerhad was divided into two great empires. The High Elven Fasreden Empire and the Human Astagen Empire, when the War began they were allies and they defend the then bountiful and immensely populated continent. However Astagen fell victim to its own power, believing them invincible they declared war on Fasreden. The ensuing war cost the lives of millions as spells of immense power and destruction were used by both sides, by the time the war was over there was not a city left intact and the land had become corrupted. Beasts of power arose and ravaged the people, all the treasures of Fasreden and Astagen were lost and those who remained fled. For many years none dared to inhabit the continent because of beasts that dwelled there, during that time much of the knowledge of what treasures they left behind was lost and by the time the Dwarves decided to colonise Sargerhad even the location of some cities had become myth. Still great beasts roamed and the deaths of so many had corrupted the land. Although the Forest Elves had worked for many generations to cleanse the land, it was so wild and dangerous that they could only hope. While most of the monsters could be easily dealt with by any single person or a group there were some beasts that served a higher purpose, they led co-ordinated attacks on the settlements. Then others held such power that they alone could level a city. It was a dangerous place to be. They had been travelling for several days when Shien saw a great city in the distance. Shaller once again was happy to explain. The city was Nisef, one of the first cities the humans built when they came to this universe from their own. Eternia it was called, a place of infinite bounty that succumbed to darkness. Nisef was supposedly where one of the Seven Gates were kept, during the battle the seals of the Gate were destroyed and from Eternia came a great evil. The High Elves and the Humans who were both from Eternia saw the threat that this evil posed and united to eradicate it, in the end all they could do was reseal the Gate before they were all killed. Then the once white towers of Nisef changed to black and the land around it became twisted. Nisef is just one of the many things that contributed to fall of both Astagen and Fasreden. As they continued their trek they encountered many interesting sights. The Scar was one of them; Shaller told her that no one knows how it came to be. It was created during the War but no one is sure of anything beyond that. The Scar is a huge canyon that spreads from the Red Mountains down through the otherwise uninterrupted Plains of Kasajore and then into the Shred Swamp. After a weeks journey she had her first bout of blindness accompanied by a pain that nearly caused her to faint. Soon afterward they came to a small fort town, Blades Edge. The town was situated on the edge of a range of inland cliffs called the Blades, so named for their jagged shape. Leaving the rest of the party Lagon took he to the precipice of the cliffs on a platform right over the waterfall. Before she could ask why he was doing this he gave her the answer, this was where should see that sight her told her of back in Thunders Rest. He told her to wait until sunrise, which was not too far away. He would wait with the others at the inn and they could head out when she was ready. Still a bit confused she waited and at the same time considered her life. She had accepted her death since she found out she had Merilas, but still she had her doubts. Was there a cure somewhere out there? Moreover, if so should she have spent her time searching for it and not focusing on her death? As she pondered these thought and others the time passed and then sunrise came. At first she could see nothing spectacular, then the sun cleared the Red Mountains and lit up the plains below. The clouds that were scudded throughout the sky became all shades of purple, red and yellow. As the sun rose higher the vast Plains below her became a sea of colours, with flowers of all variety open to greet the sun. She sat their speechless until the sun had fully risen. She returned to the inn and without saying a word went to her room. The headache was now unimaginably intense and as she lay on her bed, she knew that her time had come. Her final thought before sleep consumed her was this, “I have lived and now I will die.” While she slept she had a dream. She was in a great structure surrounded by tall columns, a fresh breeze was blowing though it. In the distance, she could see the blue of the sea and all around her there were rolling plains. Suddenly she was sitting down at a table, it was dinner time and everyone was happy. Something was off, but she could not put her finger on what it was. The person sitting beside her offered her some bread and then she heard someone call her name. It was Karg shaking her awake, looking outside she could see it was night. But there was also something burning. Karg quickly told her that a huge attack had just been launched on the town and that they would have to go now. When they got to the common room she saw a few dwarves fighting off some of the monsters, who looked surprisingly human. She joined the fight and after a few seconds it was over, the elf in charge directed her and Lagon to take the children and get to the old passageways by the river. They ran through the burning town encountering little resistance, and soon found the entrance to the passageways. Lagon went in fist and then the children followed behind him; she was about to follow when one of the monsters appeared out of nowhere. After a short fight she disposed of it and turned to go down the passage when a huge explosion threw her from her feet. When the smoke cleared she saw something that she could not believe existed before this moment, a Chimera. And this was the mother of all Chimera’s; it was about fifty feet in height and wreathed in blue flames. She quickly got back up and made for the entrance to find it blocked. As she considered what to do next the Chimera spotted her and its tail lashed down, her reflexes kicked in and she leapt for safety. Landing on a nearby roof she quickly assessed the situation, she was standing a few feet from one of the deadliest beats of lore and all she had were two rather basic swords. As the Chimera made to strike again she leapt straight up into the air. She was at the top of her leap when she decided to try it and go for the eyes. She fell headfirst at the beasts head, barely turning enough to land properly she made two desperate strikes. One of which must have done something as the beast roared in pain and with one hand swiped her off its head. Landing in the water she tried to swim but that swipe had broken both her right arm and her ribs. She soon slipped under the water and began to drown. She desperately tried to swim for the surface and she was just about out of breath when her head came clear of the water. Gasping in air she quickly noticed that she was falling, she had gone over the edge of the waterfall. As the river rushed towards her she drew a deep breath and then lapsed into unconsciousness. When she next awoke she could feel water lapping at her feet, opening her eyes she started laughing hysterically. When the fit of laughter had subsided she got up and looked around, it was then that she noticed something odd. For one she no longer had a headache! Secondly, both her arm and her ribs were in perfect condition. It was when she was examining her arm that she noticed something that made her shout is shock, at first she thought it was a snake but no it was a long tattoo. As she grew more alarmed, she noticed the katana lying on the ground a few yards away. Picking it up it felt oddly familiar, she slipped it into the sheath by her hip. She looked around trying to find a sign of where she was, it was evidently winter as the nearby mountains were covered in white and there was snow everywhere. She looked closer and realised that these were the Red Mountains, she just didn't recognise them in white! Then the river might lead her to Blades Edge. Following it for almost a full day she eventually came to the town or what was left of it. She wandered around the ruins for a while trying to find a sign of life but there was none to be found. She checked the entrance to the underground passages and found that it had been reopened, meaning that Lagon may have escaped. However she was worried. Not only by her missing time but also by the fact that they had not rebuilt Blades Edge, Karg had told her that it was essential to trade between Thunders Rest and Storm Peak. She was about to leave when something caught her eye, tracks in the snow. She could not gauge accurately how old they were, but there were a lot of them. As she looked closer she saw some evidence of a wagon wheel aswell. Quickly taking stock of her situation she decided to follow the tracks. She had no food and could only survive on water so long. She set off at a run and to her amazement she was still running several hours later, she had passed a place where the caravan stopped so the tracks were evidently more than a day old. The more she the more her mind wandered trying to make some sense of what had happened. But she could come to no conclusions; if she concentrated hard she got some flashes but nothing that helped her. Night soon fell and she was now breathing heavily, she slowed to a walk. As she rounded a bend she saw a light in the distance, it was nothing much but it could easily be a campfire. She paused considering how to approach this, walking straight up might not be the best option and creeping up may be even worse. But at least by doing it stealthily she could first ascertain whether they were friendly. Slipping off the main road she entered the forest that the road cut through, although the sky was clear of clouds there was only a crescent moon and so the forest was shrouded in darkness. She moved as quietly as she could but she felt as though she was making a racket loud enough to be head miles away. As she neared the camp she could hear some quiet conversations. Creeping ever closer she caught sight of several dwarves and a lone elf sitting around a camp fire, continuing her silent approach she made ready to call out in greeting when suddenly she felt something. Instinct kicking in once again she leap aside as a bolt of lightning lanced though the spot where she had been, feeling another coming she leapt again. She screamed out a greeting that Lagon had taught her, it was meant to identify a stranger who meant no harm. Silence followed. Then a dwarf called out another greeting and asked her name. She gave it and asked to approach; when she got a positive response she did so. After a quick introduction she studied the camp, most of the people there were dwarves but there was a few elves and a single human. She was brought to the caravan masters tent and after another short and to the point introduction he questioned her as to what she was doing in this part of the world alone. She made up a brief story about being separated from a few of her friends near Nisef. A few strange looks passed between those gathered in the tent and then she was offered a place with the caravan as a guard until they reached Storm Peak. Thanking the caravan master, a large dwarf by the name of Herin, she left and sat down at the nearest campfire joined by an elf and a few dwarves. The elf was the first to speak apologising for attacking her and asking why she was approaching using some form of invisibility spell. She almost choked on the piece of meat she was eating and then responded with a shrug deciding to avoid giving any answer, she had no idea she was using a spell. She decided to remain as quiet as possible only giving answers in nods or shrugs. After a few minutes she asked what tent she was to sleep in and one of the dwarves led her to one and gave her a blanket. Smiling in thanks she entered and lay down as near to the entrance as possible. But she did not sleep, instead she kept on going over everything happened looking for some clue... some answer. Eventually a few others entered the tent and they were soon asleep. Some time later in the night one of them got up and went out, to go on watch apparently. She lay awake all night and as dawn came decided that she was not going to get any sleep. Getting up silently she gathered her blanket and took it to the storage caravan. She walked over to a nearby stream splashing some water on her face. Then she heard some whispering from her right she walked over and stopped just out of eyesight. "Did you see the new one?" "Yeh, I had to restrain Varelsen. Bloody hothead human." "Can you blame him I thought she was... one of 'em." "I doubt it, Elsenr says she is clean." "Yeah but the elf has been wrong before." "Either way, one of 'em or not she’s certainly easy on the eyes." "Hahaha, yeh maybe she can shrink herself!!" "Shut up you." "Ahh I have n'ver been one for the tall types." She went straight back to camp, her mind reeling. 'One of 'em'? One of whom? When she arrived back Herin asked her to be part of the advance group with an elf, who he introduced as Elsenr, and two dwarves, Ireg and Jorhen. She passed up on a breakfast and they set out immediately, running at first but then they slowed to allow the caravan the opportunity to catch up later. Then continued at a walk keeping alert for any sign of attack. She asked when they would arrive at Storm Peak and Ireg told her that they would be there within the day. The rest of the walk passed quietly, the dwarves conversing with each other in whispers and Elsenr staying silent. Not that Shien had any problem with this. As the evening began they arrived at the gates of Storm Peak and Shien was shocked to see them covered in burn marks, infact the entire fortification looked as though it had been attack recently. There was another caravan being let in and they were confronted by about a dozen dwarves in full battle armour. Elsenr leaned in and whispered something to the lead dwarf, his eyes flickered to her for a moment and she knew something was up. Once again she felt a spell being formed but this time she couldn't dodge in time and was hit full force in the chest. There was a series of shouted and she felt hand grabbing her. First restraining her then picked her up, she struggled uselessly. Someone tried to remove her sword but was stopped. As she passed by the city she saw people looking at her with distaste. Before she knew what was happening she was in a cell and chained to the wall. Oddly enough she still had her sword. The cell was pitch black but she could hear others moved around her, all of them were evidently chained to the wall. She was taken out for questioning and disarmed. They asked all sorts of questions like, who was she? Where were her parents? Where was she from? Most she had an apparently unsatisfactory answer for. She was called for questioning several times over the next few days, as were others in the cell. But day-by-day the amount of people in the cell slowly reduced until she was alone. Every now and again someone would toss in some food, it wasn't much but it helped. She tried to sleep as little as possible as apparently they wanted to catch her off guard and so would take her for questioning when she was asleep. Soon the beatings started, first it was just the odd punch when she gave an unsatisfactory answer but it soon escalated. Apparently they thought she was an agent of some sort working for the Demons based in Nesif. Supposedly Last Hold had fallen to a Demon attack because they had people on the inside. Even though she knew nothing about this they continued the questioning. After a while the got tired of this and began injecting her with poisons and giving her potions to wear her down and make her admit the truth, when she showed a resistance to this it confirmed in their minds that she was an agent. Eventually she asked to see Lagon or Karg or Shaller. The questioned surprised them and she was told to wait. Eventually they came back and released her; she asked what was going on. But they said nothing, one of them apologised. She was taken to a doctor and who gave her a few tests aswell as helping her with the wounds, and then Lagon arrived. He explained to her why they did what they did and apologised. She said nothing just hugged him, and then asked why she was being released. Lagon told her that being a King had its advantages. She was shocked by this an began talking rapidly trying to explain to him that she remembered nothing, that she doesn't hold a grudge against them for her treatment and that she was happy to see him alive all at the same time. They had a long talk where he explained what happened after she fell off the waterfall. The Chimera took off killing most of its companions in its rage, then they dug him out and made straight for Storm Peak by the time they arrived it was already under attack and they fell on the monsters from behind giving the forces inside a chance to sally forth. The battle didn't last long but during it several people had been caught trying to poison the water supply and do all number of things, most of whom couldn't remember what they had done except under duress. The forest elves devised a way to see if they were agents of Nisef by checking their spiritual force, the agents had two. Apparently so did Shien but hers was in the sword she had with her, which he identified as Alare. Apparently Last Hold wasn't so lucky, they had held out for a few days and then something of great power had ripped their walls asunder. The doctor returned and ordered Lagon to leave so his patient could get a full examination. She endured the doctors annoying insistence to perform every check up imaginable. Soon she lapsed into sleep, but it was not a peaceful one. She saw flashes of the past two years, things that made no sense. A fire encased in ice, a bleeding sword and an eagle made of stone. She awoke with a start to overhear some voices; it was the doctor and Lagon. "Are you sure?" "Yes, no doubt. She has carried a child to is full term and given birth, sometime within the last few months." "Ohh Lords, how to tell her?" "I advise you don't at least not in her current condition, she may go and do something stupid." "Did you find anything else?" "Yes, there is some unusual scarring all along her back and more along her legs." "How do you mean unusual?" "As in someone with incredible healing skill healed the scar and then cut in the same place again. And about the tattoo, its not made by ink. Someone changed the colour of skin to match it." "I want her given the best possible treatment." "Of course." She fell back to sleep barely able to contain her urge to scream aloud, a baby... her baby. She stayed in the infirmary for another week before the doctor practically threw her out; she retrieved Alare and went to meet Lagon in his court. There was a short ceremony and then she attended a feast. All the time her mind kept on returned to the thought that she had a child. What would make her abandon it? How could she?! It was not long before Lagon tried to tell her. She smiled as he approached the topic so nervously; it was the side of him she knew as opposed to the side that gave the orders in court. She told him that she had over heard it and that he was fine. She didn't blame him for not telling her sooner. She stayed at Storm Peak for another few days before deciding to head out, however just as she did another attack was launched. Grabbing Alare she made for the wall, falling in with Lagon. When she arrived it was as if she had walked into a nightmare, as far as the eye could see the land seemed to move. The army was easily a million strong. Throughout the day they fought until eventually night fell, yet still they came. Shien had been on the wall since the start of the day and had yet to come off it. More than once she had spotted a breach and sealed it single handedly, Lagon was also making his presence felt. Leading the soldiers in a battle chant every time the enemy retreated. Spellweavers, magicians, illusionists, warlocks and almost every other type of magic user tossed spells of flame and wind, earth and water along with anything else that could do damage. By the end of the night they had been beaten back and they retreated back into the wildlands. Shien returned to her quarters exhausted. Yet she could not sleep, during she had heard a voice in her head. Not that she was complaining it had helped her survive the day but she was worried. This voice, she could tell it wasn't an ally. With that thought she drifted into sleep. She was standing on the edge of a balcony. Wind whistled all around her, she was going to throw herself off. "Mistress!" She turned to see a servant standing behind her. He was tall and bowed over, his skin seemingly burned black. "Mistress you must not. The master will be very angry!" "It doesn't matter. He can't have her." She was pregnant. "Death is no mystery to him, he will seek you out." Suddenly everything became blurry and when it resolved itself she was no longer on the balcony. This time she was in a great meeting hall filled with people. Everyone there was dressed similarly, or at least in the same colour. Which was black for some reason. Nobody could see her because they were all so focused on the podium. She crept around the crowd until she too could see it. "I present to you all, Ravenia. My daughter and one true heir to the Throne of Sin." The man who stood before them holding the shild was attractive, in an evil sort of way. The crowd cheered at his announcment and began to talk. Reaching out she put her hand on the shoulder of the nearest person and dragged their life energy out of thier body and into hers. Before any saw what happened she did the same to three others standing close by. Now alerted to her presence the crowd backed away from her as she advanced on the man holding her child. "Stop Yanai. There is nothing you can do to stop this. Her destiny is written in stone", he said. Suddenly a sword flared into existence in her right hand. "You would be surprised." She leapt towards him and as she did she saw tall towers of black through the window. She awoke with a start practically falling out of the bed. Last edited by Pàxèn; 05-20-2007 at 06:06 PM. |

Re: Shien Yanai
Nice. There are just a couple things that need some editing.
First, her Blend skill seems a little strong. If she was fighting someone in the dark, she could just sneak up behind them and slit their throat. Also, Absorb needs some kind of limit. Also, I would like to see another weakness. If she faced someone with no magic, Shien really wouldn’t have any weakness for the opponent to exploit. Okay, edit those three things and I’ll take another look at her. ![]()
