Here goes my second to last character... Crybo.
Name: Crybo Seerse
Age: Unknown, but in this form he looks to be around his mid-thirties. Race: Angel Sex: None (Angels have no definite sex, and instead choose a form to appear in. Normally, Crybo chooses male.) Hair: None Eyes: Unknown. (He wears a blindfold… I’ll explain later.) Weight: In this form, about 278. Height: In this form, about 7 foot even. Weapon: A bow and a katana. His bow is special because only he can wield it. It’s made out of an angelic metal and cannot be broken. It is said that the hair is made from the hair of a Pegasus. He doesn't carry arrows, but instead uses ones made out of energy. He can create nearly any type of arrow this way; fire, water, light, etc. The only arrow that is totally beyond him is dark. Armor: A holy, chain-mail cuirass, chain-mail greaves, and some holy, leather boots. Strengths: Light and ranged fighting. He is an angel, so light attacks are near useless. He specializes in ranged attack and defense, so he is a formidable opponent in that area. He is decent enough in close-quarters combat to hold his own long enough to get away and fire form afar. Weakness: Darkness and androids (they have no soul.) He is an angel, so even weak dark attacks are almost lethal. Because of his special sight (explained in the bio) he cannot see artificial beings. Because robots lack a soul and actual life, they are invisible to him. Skills/Magic: His angelic heritage gives him massive light abilities. Light Cannon: He holds out his hand and a blast of pure light energy is fired at the enemy. It’s a relatively quick attack, but it can be dodged by quicker foes. Photon Edge/Arrow: This attack gives his katana or arrows a light enchantment on the edge/tip. Volley: Crybo can launch up to seven arrows at once with this attack. But the more arrows in the attack, the less accurate it becomes, so he uses two to four at once. Divine Fury: A slow charging attack ,Crybo lifts his fist into the air and collects a heavenly light. When it’s charged, he slams his fist into the ground, causing an explosion of light. This is bad for two reasons. One, the pure light blinds Crybo’s spirit sight, so he loses track of his foe. And two, it’s slow to charge and can be stopped with relative ease. Heaven’s Lance: Crybo gathers an energy ball in front of him and pounds it with both hands at an opponent. It takes the shape of a lance whilst flying at its target and is nearly impossible to dodge. It is possible to stop though, as it too is slow to charge. This attack blinds him like Divine fury as well. Cross: This isn’t an attack per se. What it does is hold Crybo’s enemy on a cross of light for up to thirty seconds. Its prep is a giveaway though, as he moved his hands in the shape of a cross. It’s also inaccurate at distances. Spiritual Sight: The ability granted by God for Crybo to see things in his blindness. If you’ve played Psi-ops, it works like the Aura Vision in that. It also allows Crybo to see one’s inner self. He knows if someone is good or evil because this allows him to see his or her heart. He can see anything that lives, as they give off a spiritual glow that he can see in the darkness. He can see the ground and other objects only because they reflect the spiritual glow of other things. He cannot see androids and robots because they do not give of nor reflect spiritual auras. This ability allows him to see through walls, but not very well. He can see smudges of things beyond a wall, but never the whole amount. He can see two smudges beyond one door, but there could be several people standing in a group. He can see what others cannot, such as ghosts or poltergeists. Everyone has a signature trail of spiritual power that he can recognize easily. The way he can tell how pure a person is works somewhat like it does in KOTOR II: SL, in that good people are bluish, neutral people are almost white, but with some gray, and evil people are an absence of color. Evil people glow black, but are seeable due to the fact that everything around them has color… normally a mid shade of gray. With this ability, he can also tell how people feel, if they are lying, and how close to death they are. Personality: He is very sagacious and wise. But he also blames himself for Aroz’s rise to power. He was charged with the duty of keeping tabs on Aroz, but he ran away. (If you’ve read Aroz’s bio, there were five angels that followed him; three were killed, one ran away and one stayed to fight.) He is something like Regal from Tales of Symphonia, if that gives anyone a good idea of how he acts. Appearance: He looks like a mid-thirties sprinter. He’s not overly muscular, but he’s not a runt. His blindfold is a grayish blue and covers about two inches of his face. (That two inches being primarily his eyes.) He wears grayish blue robes that sit loosely on his body, over his armor. His body is somewhat like Brad Pit’s (when he was Achilles in Troy) though a lot taller. History: Like all angels, Crybo was created for a purpose. He was the messenger of God. Crybo would deliver all of God’s orders to the angels, as none but His messenger can hear His voice. Crybo was the friend of one specific angel because of this angel’s freedom. Clash Cyrod was the angel so respected by Crybo. One time, when Clash was out on some holy mission, Crybo approached God. Keeping his head down, as none can look directly at Him, Crybo asked why he couldn’t be sent anywhere. God answered him with a question of his own. “Why dost thou desire to travel anon to evil lands? Canst thou not live in peace here?” Crybo thought for a moment before responding, “Milord, I desire nothing more than to be held accountable for mistakes. I cannot do anything wrong here because I can only do as you ask. If I were to be sent to earth, Nhot, or any other of your inhabited creations, I could, for once, learn and appreciate the perfection of this place. I want responsibility.” God looked at his angel. “Ye shall be granted thy desire, but not for many years. Then twill come a time for ye to show your loyalty.” Crybo was so surprised at this answer that he looked up… directly at God. This would have blinded him permanently if God had not taken pity on this angel. God granted him sight, but of a different kind. Crybo was given Spiritual Sight (explained in abilities.) Normally, God would keep Crybo in heaven and away from evil, which can corrupt an angel. One such angel was Aroz. (Read Aroz’s bio to learn more.) God had known of Aroz’s trickery since the beginning, but chose to let it run its course. When He could wait no longer, he sent five angels to watch Aroz’s movements with the orders to attack if they felt there could be no more waiting. The angels God sent were Clash, Faryos, Harpo, Glashi, and Crybo. While the five angels followed Aroz in what they thought was an unseen manor, they felt the companionship between them grow. It was something like a band of soldiers being sent into war with a platoon of men: they became like brothers. This was until Aroz killed the first of them. They were camped out not too far from Aroz’s camp when Glashi went to check on their enemy’s status. Three hours later, the others became worried. Glashi had not returned and dawn would break in an hour or so. Clash and Faryos went to check on Glashi, leaving Harpo and Crybo to guard the supplies. Not long after Clash and Faryos left, there was a horrible scream from the angels’ camp. Clash told Faryos to hold his ground while he checked on the problem. What he found startled him. Aroz stood over Harpo’s now still body, draining any spiritual power left. Crybo “saw” Aroz coming and hid in the bushes. He tried to warn Harpo, but it was too late. When the demonic angel had finished with Harpo’s corpse, he turned to look at where Crybo was. Oh no, can he see me? Crybo thought in fear. It was all he could do to keep from getting up and running away. But no… there was something about Aroz’s posture that told Crybo he was safe. Aroz called out a challenge, “Come and fight cowards! There were five of you and I have drained only two. Where are the rest of you?” Clash was about to answer, swords drawn, when Faryos leaped from the foliage and attempted to tackle Aroz. It was a short-lived attack, as Aroz simply turned and impaled his would-be attacker on a blade protruding from his arm. Aroz sneered at this angel as it died. “Is this all your farce of a god could muster? Some weak foot soldiers?” Aroz turned his face up to heaven and yelled, “GIVE ME A CHALLENGE YOU FOOL!” Clash heard this taunt of his lord and master and was ready to pounce when movement to his left caught his attention. “Crybo,” he sighed, after the shadow revealed itself. “Yes. Clash, don’t fall for this ploy. Aroz would destroy you. I can see his spiritual powers… they’re unbelievable. Wait until we have him on our terms, wait until there will be reinforcements,” Crybo counseled. Clash considered his friend’s words. After all, Crybo was God’s messenger. “I… I can’t wait. There is something that I know about Aroz’s future that can keep him from success. I have to fight.” Crybo sighed. “Well, will you at least fight in a better area? He has an advantage here and will most likely take advantage of that.” “Alright,” Clash said finally, “I’ll fight on the fields of Petracoast. But I need you to do something. I need you to tell the angelic armies to mobilize as soon as possible. Can you do me this favor?” Crybo agreed without hesitation… anything to prolong this fight. And so it went. Aroz pursued Clash into the fields of Petracoast and Crybo massed his reinforcements . * * * After the battle of Petracoast, in which Clash was cursed and never allowed to return to heaven, Crybo began to feel responsible. He felt it was his fault that the angels couldn’t get there in time to keep Clash from being lost. It wasn’t until after the curse was placed that anyone realized Clash had in fact lived. Some years later, after the existence of Napaj and Ranul became wide knowledge in heaven, Crybo approached God once more with a request. “Lord, you were gracious those many years ago to allow me to have a responsibility, and I ask if you would again grant me a request.” God smiled, though it was unseen, and said softly, “Crybo, you blame yourself for something ye couldn’t have altered. That event came to pass because I willed it. Aroz shall be defeated by Clash’s blood.” “I realize this milord, but I still feel guilty. Clash was my dearest friend… he was the first angel to not ignore me. I ask if you would let me atone for my failure… please… allow me to help Napaj and Ranul in their defeat of Aroz,” Crybo said. Instead of replying, God sent Crybo straight to where Napaj and Ranul were camped. Crybo lifted his head to “see” a sword point at his throat. “And just who the hell are you?” asked a gruff voice in common. Crybo looked at this man and replied in angelic, “A friend of your father’s. You must be Napaj.” Ranul put a hand on his brother’s blade and said, “You speak angelic? Then you aren’t human.” He helped Crybo up and said, “Angels aren’t well liked in this area… what will you do about your wings?” “Not a problem… only those of angelic blood can see or touch them. I have a question… can I travel with you?” Napaj answered, “Sure. The more the merrier. But first… we need to know your story. It’s obvious you know ours, but Neither of us recognize you.” “I am Crybo Seerse and this is my story…” *** And since I'm an approver... *Approved*
