Weapon: A Long rod about 7ft long. It is made of iron and steel and colored a dark black and silver color. The head of it is in a sphere shape, with ten slot holes on it. In two of the slotholes currently he holds two gems. These Gems channel his power and magic he posessess. The rod is also indestructable and makes a great blocking tool as well as offensive.

Armor: None

Magic: The Dems he puts in his Rod give him his abilities to use spells. The two Gems in his Rod currently are The Forests Emerald and Darknessess jet Here is what the gems can do:

Darknesess Jet:

Shadow Blast: This shoots out a ray of dark matter that burns the foe like fire, What it is made up of though is unknown. The ray looks like a swirling vortex (Similar to ganons from OoT)

Shade: This turns Gem into a shadow, enabling him to disappear in darkness or take the shape of any nearby person/objects shadow, This is a very useful spell when he is trapped in a sticky situation

Nightmare: This is a very special Move that Gem had to learn when he obtained this stone. This spell makes an opponets fear appear right in front oh him/her/it. It is nothing more then an illusion, yet it sill fools even some of the most powerful mentals.

Forests Emerald:

Recover: This spell allows gem to heal himself or any nearby living thing, but he must be able to concentrate in order to use it.

Poisen wave: This is one of the few offense attacks of the forest emerald, This shoots out a wave of poisen through the ground, intoxicating any living thing within 20 feet, the effects are diffrent depending on the opponets resistence or weakness to it.

Vine wall: This shoots up a wall of vines, that will protect Gem if he needs to focus or run. They arent very strong, and are very flammable, but will till provide enough time for him to regenerate or flee.

Skills: Sam is well trained in fighting with his spells and can fight with his rod if it comes to that. He can run at speeds of 10mph without tiring (Normal human speed) and jump up to heighta of 7ft and 10ft wide (Squirrel Jumping ability). He also has had some training in alchemy and can make potions out of reagents he may obtain in his travels.

Weakness: Sam is very wise for his age, yet even the great mage has his weaknessess. Sams Shadow spells do not work so well in extremely lit areas, such as out in the sun or a lit room. Light spells can also fizzle out his spells as well. Flame or extreme heat will disallow his Forest abilities too, Meaning he wont be able to use heal, The vines or poisen wave. Sam also cannot fight hand to hand for long, he must stay at a distance to attack his foe, Also fighting on water is useless as all of sams spells must be used on land.

Strengths: Though Sam has his weaknessess, he also has his strengths. In darkness his Shadow spells are increased. If he's in a forest his forest powers are increased as well. Also he can drink some of his potions if he ever gets weak, HE ONLY CARRIES TWO POTIONS WITH HIM IN A FIGHT AS HE ONLY HAS ROOM FOR TWO. These potions will recover his strength slightly and enable him to go on.

Personality: Quiet. Very few people know his real side. He often keeps his emotions and thoughts inside him. In fights however he will taunt his opponet if he believes that it is too weak. Aside from his quietness he is very knowledge seeking, and if he fails, he must get up and try again. He is on the dark side sometimes, and will steal ONLY IF HE MUST. He looks after himself only, it is rare if he helps anyone out, but it is known to have happened before....

Appearence: He has pale skin, even though he is out in the sun alot. His eyes are green and his hair is a blackish color with blonde highlights in it. His face is also clean shaven with no scars or cuts. He wears a dark green T-Shirt with a black Robe covering The right half of him. On his left side he has a black gauntlet on his left hand with a red gem in it (It is not enchanted, it is just a gem) He holds his staff with this hand. On his right hand is a wrist gauntlet with a pouch in which he keeps money and reagents in. Around his neck are three silver chains, a black pendant, and a compass. For his pants he wears black baggy shorts that go down to his shins with a brown belt that holds yet another pouch for his potions around his waist. His boots are black as well and are wrapped with a green clothing around the shin part of the boot.

History:

Several Years ago in a land far far from Hyrule there was a kingdom named Klydrom. Klydrom was a very powerful Empire ruled by a powerful Czar named Julius Maximus III. Julius ruled his Kingdom with an ironfist, taxing the poor, killing slaves who could no longer work, and allowing no one but his royal servants to leave or come in. It was a harsh place to live and anyone born in it was stranded for good, few of the people inside had even seen outside of it, even fewer have been outside and lived to tell the tale.

Sam Martin was born here. His mother was a dancer for Julius, and his father was a bartender at one of the local pubbs. For Years Sam Grew up in the slums of the kingdom, being teased by kids and pushed around by guards, It was because Sam was diffrent from most of the other kids, he was shy, and never talked, only to his parents.

One day though the Kings Guards busted in and demanded 4,000 stones (The lands currency) from his father. His father had no where near that amount, so he was killed and his mother was to be taken to the palace for the kings pleasure. Sam however was to be killed in front of the town as a warning that the czar would show no mercy to anyone who defied him. Just as the guards bounded and drug Sam and his Mom out, it happened....

The sky lit up with diffrent colors and swirled around, creating a swirling vortex. The Kingdom watched in amazement at this phenomonom, Until It began shooting out meteors! Soon building after building was being shot, crushed and smashed by the mighty rocks. People tried to run, but the gates would not open. The Czar watched as his Kingdom fell with him in it. The last sight he ever saw was a bright green light headed straight for his room......

Sam on the otherhand fell unconcience, his last site he ever saw was his mother picking him up and running the two towards a nearby caved in building...

Sam Dreamt that he was holding a rod. In it were seven gems, each a diffrent color, and he felt as if he could do anything! He controlled all elements, He decided the fate of the world, he could do anything he wanted! Until his eyes started to open.

He looked around still alittle dazed and saw to his amazement, the rod! It was stuck in the ground glowing. It must have been one of the objects in the shower! As he touched it his mind went into another dimension and a voice spoke to him.

"Sam, you have been given the oppurtunity to weild powers mere mortals quake with, We Goddessess entrust you with his rod, with it you control the elements of each Gem you posess, these Gems have been scattered across our universe, and you will be the one who can wield them, we entrust ye Sam....."

Sam looked around and saw that the Kingdom was in ruins. No one but him stood in the once crowded streets, No hustle or bustle came from the marketers, it was just him. He looked over and saw his mothers body, she had suffered severe burns from the meteor shower but managed to prtect young Sam. Sam dug her a grave with a makeshift tombstone and left the deserted kingdom.....

For years Sam traveled the earth, learning how to create potions from books he obtained in his travels, and how to fend off foes with his rod. All the traveling built his strength up as well anabling him to run and jump farther then most normal humans could. One day his travels brought him to the lost woods where he found the first stone....

Deep in the wilderness of the lostwoods was a pedstal with a green gem in it. Sam picked it off and stuck it in the rod, activating the voice yet again and it spoke to him:

"Gem, that is your new name bestowed by us Goddesess, You have found the first spell gem, with this you are given the ability to learn and cast any type of forest related spell, use this wisely though...."

Gem then waved the rod and amazingly summoned up a thick wall of vines! He could now use vines to defend himself! He then set off deeper in the forest with his new spell in hand....

More years went by and Gem learned a couple more spells for his forest gem by random teachers and mages. He had lots of practice fending off the badies and unknown creatures of the woods and roads he traveled, until he was brought to the Graveyard of Grimm.

It was here that past mages and greats who died were buried by their most trusted allies. It was a sacred and hidden place, hidden deep deep in the Mountains of Misery. It was here that Gem aquired his next gem, the Shadow Jet. Once again the Goddessess Spoke:

"You have aqquired yet another gem, but we assure you that these two will be the only ones that you will obtain so easily. Your next Powers will truly test how great you are, you will endure hard times, and may die, but that is your choice if you still want that power...."

Gem then agreed and set off once again with his Shadow Jet in the rod. Gem met more teachers and mages who taught him how to use his power and he even learned more spells as well! It was then that Gem decided he was ready to face other warriors out there.

So with a little bit of magic, and a few potions in hand he set off lookin for the gems and lookin for a true challenger out there....
