You write it in whatever program you want. Or none at all if you so wish.

Re: Character Policies and Guidelines

Just wondering, can we post somewhat finished, but not fully done characters? I have a good chunk of my own nearing completion, and I was just wondering if I could post it up as a work in progress, so I can have some review on what I've finished before I add to it.

Well, generally, you probably don't want to post a thread for a half-finished character unless you have no other way to save what you've already done. However, the Character OoC Thread is a good place to post half-finished characters and have them reviewed. You could also use the main OoC Thread since the Character OoC doesn't get too much traffic.

You create a new thread in this forum with your character's name as the title. Furthermore, when you do make them, plase submit them in the format given on the first post of this thread; it makes our job easier. =P

In the Character Forum, not this specific thread.

Re: Character Policies and Guidelines

A question about the BA...

OK, I had a BA character long ago, but due to several various situations, I eventually lost the link to my BA character as well as being in touch with the Arena for over a year or more. My question is this: Would it be possible to just delete my old character (if I find it in the character approved list) and just start fresh? If not, that's fine, just asking out of curiosity...>.<

Re: Character Policies and Guidelines

You shouldn't have to delete your old character to start fresh. Just make a new character and forget about the old one.

Re: Character Policies and Guidelines

Yes, but you don't have to delete it at all. Just forget about it and start on your new character. :3

hey

this has been very helpful, thank-you. however, it seems that I may only have one charcter, is this true? you see, I have been creating charcters and a storyline since 2002 on my own, and now have nearly 1,000. I actually have 965. this may sound like a huge braggy lie, but its not and i welcome anyone who is curious or does not believe me two pm me asking to see the picture of an individual from 1-965. I would like to create several charcters becuase of this over abundance I already have.
additionally, I have a thing i do where each character is a combination of two others, so some of them are not characters at all, but animals and inanimate objects that i created so as to mix with another to achieve the desired result, so if you ask to see one and it turns out to be sloppily drawn or just plain stupid, i only wanted to achieve the depiction of an idea. and i started when i was quite young so some of them are so poorly drawn they are comical. but others are quite good.
that said, if anyone needs a charcter drawn i would be glad to do it. thank you again for the helpful info.

Re: Character Policies and Guidelines

If our character changes somehow, be it merely cosmetic or in power, should we update our character thread? I've seen a couple people that have mentioned character upgrades in their battles, and I've suggested that my character will be growing stronger, so it would be really helpful if I knew how to do that.

You can update your character however you like, whether it be merely looks or gaining new powers. However, if your characters undergoes a dramatic change that almost makes them a new character, you should probably post another thread for them.

Re: Character Policies and Guidelines

^I figured that, I was wondering about something like a new power acquired or something like that would require an update in the character's thread. It wouldn't be dramatic, just one new thing (i.e. my character Zalin used to be able to use dark magic, and he gains some of that power back. Should I update my character thread?).

Yeah, you need to update the actual thread. Otherwise people won't know what kinds of powers your character has.
