Menboku Celtivio

This is my first time so I'm probably out-dated with this stuff I made up. It's mostly old medieval stuff and I hope this works. Plus it was a Zelda type character so cut me some slack.

Name: Menboku Celtivio (disbanded his last name)

Gender: Male

Age: 19

Race: Elf

Hair: Dirty blonde hair that is spiky all around except his bangs which he let them grow past his eyes.

Eyes: Forest Green

Height: 5'7"

Weight: 180 lbs

Armor: Chain milled suit underneath his tunic

Description: He's about 5'7" tall with a midbuilt body. He wears a dirty old cloak over his normal clothing which is a black tunic like Link's except without the skirt. The white "tights" Link wears are light grey instead on Menboku. He also wears brown leather gloves, two leather boots, and a metal cover over his left forearm. He also has a hood on his cloak and behind it has a hole where his sword sticks out but only the handle and the hand guard show.
He has short spiky dirty blonde hair but he let his front bangs grow out, he has premature facial hair, and he has a scar on over his right eye like a sword swipe.

Weapons: He has a two-handed sword like Link's TP sword except the handle is a bit longer, the blade is extended, and he has to use two hands to actually swing it but can sometimes swing it with one hand. Sometimes. He also has a metal cover on his left forearm which acts as a shield. It's not as good as a real shield but it was the cheapest thing he could buy.

Skills/Magic: He also has one magic spell that allows him to use a vanishing technique. He uses a handleful of magic powder in his belt sack and throws it underneath him. This allows him to disappear and reappear in an instant from one position to another. The max distance he can go with it is 10 feet.

Weakness: Though he is agile and strong, he lacks in defense and speed due to not having a proper shield and his chain milled armor underneath his tunic and his two-handed sword. He also lacks in accurate aim with any bow. Though if you expect him to hit a bulls-eye, he'll hit it off over to the left or right by 3 feet. But he only carries a bow sometimes if he finds one lying around.

Behavior: Though wise he may look sometimes, he is actually pretty cocky ever since he became a mercenary. He never really wants to get too close to a person because from what he learned is that if you get too close to someone, you might do something "shameful" to them and they'll never forgive you. Also, when he sees a pretty young lady, he tends to be a ladies man.

Biography: The reason why he became a mercenary was when he was 17 when he committed a shameful act that caused his father to be so furious, that he took his own sword, slashed his son across his right eye leaving a scar , and kicked him out of his house.
The only way to rid himself of his shame was to become a swordsman, it was the way of his family for it brought honor to the family name if one becomes a swordsman. So he snuck back into the house, took all his ruppees, hired a master swordsman to be his teacher, bought a two-handed sword, and began practicing for 2 years.
Menboku's teacher taught him everything he knew and after his training was complete, Menboku headed back home to show his family that he became a GOOD swordsman.
He finally returned to his home at the age of 19 and was welcomed back by his mother but his father still felt bitter towards him. He showed his father that he became an excellent swordsman but his father kept reminding him about the shame he had done to the family name including himself. That his scar is the brand of his shame. "This shame will last as long as your scar across your eye," his father told him in a furious tone.
But Menboku told him that he was trying to right his wrong by ridding the shame he left on the family by becoming a swordsman. That was when his mother came back into the room with a young baby in her hands. Menboku wonder who that child was but his father answered his question before he could even ask it.
"That child over there is your younger brother Menboku. He'll be the one to rid the family of your shame. He'll become a MASTER swordsman."
Menboku was shocked to hear this from his father. That they threw their oldest son to the side because of one single shameful act. Even though he was trying to right his own wrong. That was then the old man told him to get out of his house. So Menboku turned around and headed out but before he closed the door behind him he said, "I came back to try and right the wrong I did and this is how you treat me?"
"We'll make sure our ONLY son will grow up to be nothing like you, who brought shame upon our home."
Menboku looked over his shoulder with a cocky grin on his face and said, "Well at least the shames on you old man." And with that, Menboku slammed the door and walked off. He left his home village and persued to be a mercenary so he could earn money and items. Occasionally he'll remember that faithful night where the shame was branded upon him and he was force out of his own home.
It is also the reason why he wears the cloak, to hide his shame from the world and himself for no one will ever forgive a shameful man.

Hopefully that'll get by. Sorry for being too noobish.
