Kossumaru

*Don't know if I overdid this one, but I decided I needed a new character.

Name: Kossumaru

Race: Human

Eyes: Brown
Weight: 180
Height: 6 feet tall
Weapon: Katana, Wakazashi
Armor: Standard Samurai armor
Magic: In demon form, any wound that he experiences heals in just seconds.
Personality: Kind, Loyal, full of Pride. He finds fighting to be pointless and the cause of so many innocent deaths.

Appearance: Normally wears his samurai armor. He has long black hair, many scars on his face. He wears a partially damaged black headband, with the insignia of his samurai clan on it, under it lies the mark of the demon. In demon form, his eyes turn blood red, and release a sort of red smoke. Kossumaru's voice sounds like two people speaking at the exact same time, in an eerie way.

Bio:

It was the middle of the night, the blue moons light beaming down on the small village of Kumonesake. It seemed as normal as every other night, Date thought. A strange noise could be heard coming from the dojo. Date opened the door of the dojo, and walked in to check. The room was empty and silent, the noise seemed to have stopped once he had entered.
"Strange, probably just an animal." she said.
She then noticed a note on the small table near the wall of the dojo. She approached the table, and pulled the note close enough for her to read from the note…

"Date, if you're reading this I'm probably gone by now. You may have an idea why I'm deciding to leave, if you don't well…let me explain from the beginning. As you know I was once the leader of an army of samurai. My army and me were devoted to serving the Emperor, and all of Japan. At that time the war was still waged on Japan, and several armies had attacked us from other lands. Japan was defeated and it's armies crushed, including mines. We had no other choice but to surrender. I was the sole survivor of the battles that Japan had faced. Though I hid from Japan and it's enemies after the war, since Japan was now in ruins, and in control. If I had stayed, I would have been in captivity, and surely they would have used me as a pawn.

But I could not allow myself to betray the people of Japan. I traveled far and wide searching for a permanent home where I could live my days without fear, without bloodshed. So I came to the peak of this high desolate mountain only to find this small peaceful village, and soon coming to live in it. Here, I met you, and many others who are now my friends. I soon came to love this small village. That is …until the recent incidents…..

When the demons came to the town, I had no other choice but to fight back. They just came out of nowhere and attacked. Everything they touched, anything in their path withered and died. I wished for no more fighting, and that I was to live a new life now. But I had to protect the village, before any harm could be done. I failed in that, and I pray that others who suffered may rest in peace. And as you already know, I have suffered too. A part of the demon now resides in me, and tries to take over me, and control me. I fought against many of those demons, almost too much for me to handle. The demon took control of me, I tried to fight back, but it was too strong. Now deep inside of me the demon lives. Like a parasite, feeding off my soul and body. I resist it, yet the more I resist the more the demon takes over me. Every time I get caught in the middle of a battle, the demon takes control over me. It urges me to fight, and urges to kill. It seems that the best thing for me to do is to move on and try and get away from all of this. I know I can't escape, but my fate is not to die here.

I heard that Japan is in more chaos than it was before, so I now have more of a reason to leave. I have to protect my country, demon or not, I have to do something about it.

And by that I mean how he got it, what it does, a better description maybe etc...
