Re: Ranny's Characterized Characters
![]() The Midnight Centaur ~Erani~ Name: Erani (AIR-ah-nee) Age: 18 Race: Centaur (half human, half horse) Gender: Female Hair Color/Style: Long and bluish black. Her tail is also bluish black. Her fur is dark brown. Eye Color: Golden yellow Weight: 1350 lbs (hey, if a Centaur is half horse, it should weigh around this much) Height: 5'5" to her back and 8'5" to the top of her head Relationship Status: In a relationship with Ceto. Weapon: Erani wields a sword that has wavy edges. It is 4' long and the handle is navy blue. On the hilt there is a light blue gem called a sapphire. The hilt itself is curved on both sides like a spiral. The spirals point to the blade. Armor: None. She uses her speed and agility to protect herself. Strengths: With great speed and agility, Erani can easily dodge certain sword attacks such as the thrust, horizontal slice and vertical slice. She can also leap in the air and tackle the enemy with her strong hooves and use her hind legs to kick any enemies behind her. Another thing she can do is use the earth to some of her advantage, particularly rocks and sand. See the skills section for her sword attacks. Weaknesses: Despite her great speed and agility, Erani is vulnerable to arrows and fire. If hit with an arrow in one of her legs for example, she might not be able to run as fast as she normally would. If hit in one of her arms, she may drop her sword and be unable to use it. If hit with fire, Erani's skin and fur may be burned easily. She is also vulnerable to being wounded in her back. An enemy could easily jump on her back and stab it, though Erani will throw them off a few seconds later. Skills/Magic: One of Erani's greatest skills is due to her size and strength. She can sometimes heavily wound enemies. Another skill she has is throwing. She can kick an enemy that's behind her and send them flying away or she can throw an enemy off her back if one has jumped there. Erani doesn't have any magic abilities, but here are some other skills that she is proficient with.
Appearance: Erani's body is the basic body of a horse. Hooves, a tail, and muscle. Her hooves are black and have no horseshoes. Her fur is dark brown and her tail bluish black. Her tail is 3'5" long and is a basic horse's tail. She's basically as muscular as a normal mare (female horse). Her skin from her waist up is brownish in color and has no fur. She wears no clothing except for a somewhat short sleeveless top that's made of light brown oak leaves. Around her waist is a belt that has a scabbard attached on the right to hold her sword. The belt and scabbard are navy blue in color. When fighting, she holds her sword in her right hand. She doesn't have anything on her arms or legs or the rest of her body. Carried Items/Accessories:
Personality: Erani is usually kind hearted, but when she gets angry, she'll often attack the person that got her mad. And if she sees something she think is an enemy, she'll attack then too. She's kind to most animals and her own kind, but can also be annoying to some, considering she's got too much bravery and courage on her. Erani also enjoys chatting with friends and being humorous to them, but will also stop at nothing to protect those she cares about. One of her favorite things to do is race with other Centaurs. All that racing eventually gave her the great speed that she currently has. She also enjoys having jumping contests and playfights with her own kind, which eventually gave her the great agility she currently has. Bio: Erani was born in a small herd of Centaurs that had been traveling away from the burned down forest in which they used to live. A bad thunderstorm had struck one day and lightning had lit a tree on fire and it spread throughout the forest. The herd scattered away, hoping to find safety. After most of the forest had been destroyed, it started raining and the fire was put out. The herd was forced to leave their home because there was not enough forest left for them to stay in. Tahiki Forest, as it was called by the Centaurs, was never forgotten by them, however. Erani was born only weeks after they first left and as she grew, she got curious about the place. She was asking her mother about it. "Can it grow back?" Erani asked. Her mother looked at her with a little sadness in her eyes. "Yes, but I don't know if we'll ever go back," she said. "Trees take years and years to grow." "Ooh. They must grow real tall then, huh?" Erani wondered. "Yep." Erani was an only child. She didn't mind it too much, though, because when she was ten years old, the herd finally found a new place to live. It was another forest that looked similar to Tahiki, but greener and more peaceful looking and the Centaurs thought it would make a good home. Eventually, they grew to like the place, but still didn't forget about their old home. Erani eventually met two other young Centaurs, name Jolie and Ceto. Jolie was somewhat timid and cowardly, but she could still stand up to bad things sometimes. Ceto, although braver than Jolie, was shy and really never said much when he first met her and Erani. They eventually became good friends and played games with each other such as tag. They also raced together, although Ceto almost always won, as he was the fastest, only tripping sometimes and letting either Erani or Jolie win. They would also have jumping contests and playfights to see who could jump the highest or fight the best. Jolie ended up being the best jumper and Erani the best at agility. Erani guessed all that zigzagging around the forest when she was younger actually did one good thing for her. When she was 13, Erani's father entrusted her with the sword that she now wields. She was fascinated by the way it looked. It was her favorite color too. And the sapphire in the middle was a pretty sight. "Erani," her father said to her. "Take this blade. It's been passed down in our family for generations and you're now old enough to wield it. In our herd, one family is given the job of protecting everybody and that is our family. It's now your turn to learn the ways of the sword." "Yes, Dad," Erani replied. "I won't let you down." Erani smiled at her father. Her father smiled back. "That's my girl," he said. "The one who taught our family how to fight with this weapon is the elder, Tiko. You should go see him." Erani nodded. After meeting Tiko for the first time, Erani got to know him pretty well as he was teaching her sword skills. He taught her basic skills such as horizontal and vertical slices, the thrust, and their own form of the jump attack. Erani also learned the unique attacks of the Centaur, which was the Dashing Thrust, tackling, the Hind Kick, and the Leaping Thrust. By the time she turned 18, Erani was nearly a pro at these attacks. But one day... As Erani was on a walk through the forest, she met a strange creature that looked like a person made of wood with hay as a face. A Dryad. The Dryad asked who she was. "I'm Erani," she said. "Who are you?" The Dryad just looked at her for a couple seconds then answered her name. "My name is Anie," she said. "Hm, you must be a Centaur. We Dryads haven't seen them around here in a long time." "Oh, my herd has only been here for eight years. Our old home was burned down only weeks before I was born," Erani explained. "Then we found this place." "Really? Then you've come to live in the right place," Anie responded. "You see, this forest is enchanted. Danger has never lurked around here. Whoever comes to live here is safe forever." "Wow," Erani commented. "My herd has to know about this." "Oh, yes they should," Anie agreed. "You should go tell them right away." Erani nodded and ran off to her herd. If they were protected forever in this forest, that means her family wouldn't need to protect them and Erani could go on adventure. When she reached her herd, she told them the good news. She told them about Anie and how she would like to be on her own too. However, the herd wasn't sure whether to believe what Anie said was true. Erani was able to convince them. She said explained that the forest being enchanted has to be the reason why the place looked so green and peaceful. Erani also said she never found anything that would be a predator or enemy. The herd decided to take her word for it. Even Jolie and Ceto, who were also grown up now, decided to believe what Anie said. After Erani explained that since she was not needed to protect the herd, she wanted to leave and be on her own. "But..." Jolie said, starting to feel sad. "Ceto and I don't want you to go! We'll miss you too much!" "We will," Ceto added. He walked up to Erani. "I need to tell you something before you leave, though, Erani." "Yes?" Erani said. "Well...when we were 14, you know how I helped you when you cut your leg on a sharp piece of wood, right?" Ceto asked. "Yeah." "Well, um...I fell in love with you then," Ceto told her. "Your beauty and your kindness. I just couldn't resist. I'd been too shy to tell you, though." Erani smiled. "Aw, you're sweet," she said. "I think I fell in love too. I couldn't resist your kindness or even your handsomeness either." It was Ceto's turn to smile. He felt so happy, he leaned over and kissed Erani. Erani's parent's smiled at the sight. They were proud of their daughter for finding true love. After they finished, Ceto just looked at Erani. "Good bye, Erani," he said. "Perhaps we'll meet again someday." "Yes, perhaps," Erani added. The herd then waved good bye to her and she started on her way. After she was outside the forest, she started on her travels. BA Battles: The Blitz of Deepriver Canyon (Darius Andreas) - Complete

Re: Ranny's Characterized Characters
![]() The Raven Archer ~Aviara~ Name: Aviara (av-ee-AIR-ah) (prefers to be called Avi) Age: 25 Race: Harpy Gender: Female Hair: Black and long Eye Color: Silver Weight: 125 lbs (aren’t bird people light?) Height: 5’9” Relationship Status: She loves the awesome Desquode. (One of BrokenWing's characters) Family: Vitani (sister) Weapon: A bow and quiver of arrows, plus clawed feet and hands. Armor: None. Strengths: Avi, having two main weapons, can attack from both the ground and in the air, since she can fly. She uses her bow on the ground and her claws while soaring in the sky. Her claws are very sharp and are capable of cutting through even the toughest material. Avi also has the ability to make her claws grow longer, ultimately making them her strongest weapon. She can also use her wings to create wind to slow down her enemy. Weaknesses: If Avi stays on the ground, she becomes very vulnerable to sword attacks due to having no way of defending herself, so using her bow against a swordsman would be a problem. Because she is a bird creature, Avi is weak to electricity as well. Arrows may also cause massive damage if the archer has extremely good aim and hits Avi enough times. Skills/Magic: Avi has a variety of skills she uses in battle, but no magic. She can make her claws grow longer instantly as mentioned before. Here's a list of her skills. They vary depending on which of her weapons is used to do a skill.
Appearance: Avi is a rather pretty young Harpy. Her long, black hair flows down to the middle of her back. She has a pair of wings attached to her arms made of elegant gray and black feathers. Her brown quiver hangs at her back on a bandoleer she wears across her chest. The bow she wields is silver and navy. The only clothing she wears on her bare, gray skin is an outfit similar in appearance to a two-piece sleeveless bathing suit that is navy and dark purple in color with a long lavender skirt flowing behind her. Avi wears nothing on her feet. Here is a picture, though it needs colored. Drawn by me. :3 Carried Items/Accessories:
Personality: If there’s one thing Avi can’t stand, it’s people who brag. If someone brags to her enough times, she’ll be quite annoyed. She also hates it when people try to be better than her. Avi could care less about how much better or worse she is than other people, only about succeeding. She hates losing or being called a loser, so she often has a hard time being a good sport. Thus, she has always sought to train the hardest she can. Avi is generally kind as well, but trigger her harsh reactions to things like bragging and especially being called a loser, and you’re in for trouble. Biography: Avi was born in a small Harpy village that resided on a mountain. The mountain was tall and away from the likes of humans, so the Harpies that lived there had no true enemies…except for the mountain itself. Little did they know, that the mountain was really a dormant volcano. When Avi was young, she enjoyed playing outside with her friends. The village was very peaceful at this time and the Harpy residents would each year mate and produce young at their nests. Avi was 3 years old when her little sister, Vitani, was born. As they both grew older, they got along great. They were more like friends rather than sisters. When Avi was 14, her father taught her the art of hunting. He gave her a silver and navy bow for her birthday and a quiver of arrows. Avi was taught how to hunt for food and wild game. She eventually grew skilled enough with the bow to hunt on her own. Avi always enjoyed hunting and planned to keep doing so. Vitani was also taught to hunt later on and the two went on hunting sprees together. One day, however, when Vitani and Avi were on one of their usual hunting trips, Avi at 19 and Vitani at 16, they were chasing after a wild rabbit. It led them to a cave in the woods and disappeared. Suddenly, a human appeared from the cave, holding some kind of potion. The girls thought he was probably a lost hiker, but he was really a medicine man living on the mountain without the Harpies knowing. The man said he was starving and would offer them a gift if they gave him some food. The girls politely agreed and gave him some of the meat they had with them. The man started walking towards them to give them their reward, but he tripped over a twig and dropped the potion he was holding and splashed the girls’ hands and feet. They both started feeling weird. Their hands and feet were twitching like they never had before. Then minutes later, it stopped. Avi lifted up her hand and watched her claws grow long and then short right before her eyes. She could do the same with her feet. Apparently the potion was some kind of medicine for humans, but had a different effect on Harpies. Both Avi and Vitani gasped at the sight of their newly gained power. Being able to control the growth of their claws meant they could be used as a fierce weapon. They headed back to the village to tell their folks what had happened without a thought of getting their reward from the medicine man. They were both filled with excitement. However, when they returned to tell their folks, something didn’t seem right. The ground started shaking and an explosion was heard coming from the top of the mountain. The volcano was erupting after being dormant for over a hundred years. The Harpies all tried to escape by flying away, but the lava and rock were too quick. Rocks and lava spat everywhere, making it impossible for a lot of them to even escape from their nests. Some were buried beneath the rock while others were burned by the lava. Avi and Vitani flew off into the sky, attempting to escape. Their parents had already perished in the disaster along with the rest of the village. Suddenly, a rock flew above the volcano and hit Vitani’s arm. It broke her bone right in two as she yelped at the pain. Vitani began to fall back down to the mountain since she couldn’t fly with only one good wing. Avi gasped and caught her before she could hit the ground and flew as far away from the mountain as possible. As she flew farther and farther, Avi gradually descended, as she was feeling weak and much in pain herself because of the smoke coming from the volcano, which was still in sight. Avi hit the ground with her sister and collapsed into unconsciousness. Smoke continued to flood the entire area surrounding the volcano. A couple hours later, Avi awoke to find her sister had disappeared. She wandered around the mountain for days and days searching for her, thinking she may have wandered off. As she continued her search, her birthday came around yet again, making her 20. Soon enough, Avi decided her sister was no where to be found near their demolished home and set off on adventure. With five years had gone by since the disaster now, a 25-year-old Avi continues her journey in search for her missing sister. BA Battles: A bird's eye view on Mt. Re: Ranny's Characterized Characters
![]() Erani's Lover and the Dark Centaur ~Ceto~ Name: Ceto (SEE-toe) Age: 19 Gender: Male Race: Centaur (half human, half horse) Hair Color: Dark red hair and tail, gray-black fur Eye Color: Dark blue Height: 5'7" to his back and 8'7" to the top of his head Weight: 1850 lbs Relationship Status: In a relationship with Erani. Family: Soro (Father), Tieri (Deceased Mother) Weapon: Ceto wields a staff, Blizzaron, that has the power to create ice magic (hence the name). It's 5'7" long and sky blue in color with midnight blue orbs at both ends in which its ice attacks are fired. He also carries a 2'0"dagger as a back up weapon. Armor: Ceto wears no armor except for his chest plate and padding on his shoulders. Speed is his other way of protecting himself. Strengths: Ceto has many strengths, and it shows mainly in his appearance. He's muscular, both in his human half and horse body. The ice of Blizzaron is most effective against plants and water, able to freeze them solid and helpless. He also has a slight advantage against foes who wield swords, as his armor and Blizzaron both provide good defense. Speed is also a strength of Ceto's, as he was one of the fastest Centaurs in his herd. Ceto, like Erani, also has his weight as an advantage and can heavily wound a foe with his body alone, that is, if he has the energy to do so. Weaknesses: Despite having the strengths he possesses, Ceto also has weaknesses, a few of them posing a great threat if exposed to him. One such is fire, which is not only capable of melting his ice magic, but it also poses a threat to Ceto himself, as his horse body is just as vulnerable to fire as Erani's is. Arrows are another weakness, as Ceto has almost no way of avoiding them. He must rely on speed if he's to dodge them, but if he tires out, he's an easy target for any archer. His weight combined with not so great agility can also pose as a weakness, because if Ceto is slowed down any at all, he may almost immediately become again an easy target. Skills/Magic: Ceto is capable of performing a variety of attacks, with and without Blizzaron's ice magic. He can physically fight with the staff itself or use the variety of ice attacks that Blizzaron is capable of using. Such physical attacks include twirling the staff in his hands and striking while doing so, or manually using simple strikes on the opponent. Blizzaron's variety of ice attacks include the following.
Appearance: Ceto is a rather handsome young Centaur. He has the basic body of a muscular stallion (male horse). His hooves are bigger than Erani's and his body is more muscular. They're black in color and have no horseshoes. Ceto's fur is gray-black while his skin is rather dark, pretty much the same shade of brown as Erani's. His eyes are midnight blue and can noticably sparkle under moonlight. He wears a dark blue shirt that seemingly matches his eyes and over it a silver colored chest plate and shoulder armor. He has a brown bandoleer across his chest and a sheath specifically for Blizzaron at his back. He wears a brown belt holding the sheath of his brown-handled dagger. Ceto also wears black gloves on his hands and a small, black cape covering his right shoulder and tied at his shoulder at a knot with a medallion left to him by his mother. The medallion is gold in color and has the ice emblem on it, which is a snowflake in the wind. Ceto's dark red hair is short, yet rather messy. Carried Items/Accessories:
Personality: Despite his tough-looking appearance, Ceto is quite a shy character. He's nervous when meeting new people, but that feeling seems to fade away if he feels a battle is near. Ceto brings the toughness out of him when he wants to fight, and is willing to fight anyone who challenges him. He rarely ever starts a fight, but if he does, it's usually because he's angry or the other person is making fun of him. He hates being teased because he has a history of it, due mainly to being shy. Some call him a big baby because he's too "scared" to meet others. Ceto gets in a beating mood if someone makes fun of him like that, so technically he can be a little hot-headed as well. But behind these feelings is a kind heart who'll protect those he cares about and help those who need it. Ceto looks like he could be a big bully, but deep down inside is a different Centaur. Biography: Born in the same herd as Erani, Ceto was the first of three to be born in the time of what the herd called the Great Centaur Migration. Earlier before Ceto's birth, the herd was living peacefully in Tahiki Forest, a lush, tropical forest situated near a large lake. As explained in Erani's bio, a severe storm hit one day and lighting struck a tree on fire. In no time at all, most of the forest went up in flames, leaving the Centaurs no choice but to flee. By the time there were no more than a few trees left, clouds gathered in the sky and rain began to pour. The fire slowly died out, but now the herd was without a home. They could only migrate in hopes of finding a new home. Ceto was born not long after to a young Centaur named Tieri. His father, Soro, was overjoyed at having his first son. Both him and Tieri were excited about raising him to be a fine young Centaur man. Ceto had no siblings, but he did have a cousin, Mara, whose parents died in the fire. A few lives had been lost back there, but most of the herd was fortunate and escaped alive. Mara, though, always made fun of him and talked to her friends about him behind his back. Ceto, feeling hurt, thought he would never get friends as long as his cousin kept spreading gossip about him. However, female Centaurs Erani and Jolie never heard a word of it, and were able to befriend Ceto rather quickly. They even stuck up for him at times and Ceto felt better than he ever had before. As they grew older together, Ceto and the girls had plenty of fun. They enjoyed races, play fighting, and tag during the migration. Ceto wound up being the fastest, Erani the most agile, and Jolie the best jumper. All seemed to be going perfectly for the young Ceto, until his mother became severely ill one evening when the herd was taking a rest for the night. Tieri struggled to hang on and Soro, Ceto, and the rest of the herd did everything they could to help her. However, nothing prevailed and Tieri died a week later. Everybody was sad at the time of her death and buried her along the path they took. Ceto was the most upset, crying into his father's fur. Soro was just as upset as his son was, knowing now he'd grow up without a mother. Overtime, Ceto, his father, and his friends got over Tieri's death. When he was ten years old, the herd arrived at another forest. It looked like no forest they'd ever seen before. The water was clear and clean in the streams, and the plants were as green as could be. Delicious-looking fish populated the streams and forest creatures roamed the forest floor and trees. It was a paradise for nearly any living thing. The herd decided to live there and make the forest their new home. They thought the forest looked so peaceful that nothing bad could touch it. They didn't know how right they were. More years went by, and Ceto continued to be friends with Erani and Jolie. He helped Erani treat a cut on her leg when they were fourteen. Then, Ceto looked at Erani with a wonderful feeling racing through his heart. She was one of the prettiest Centaurs he'd ever met, not to mention one of the kindest. Ceto smiled at her gently as he helped Erani stop the bleeding. It was then he knew exactly what was going on. Ceto was falling in love with her, but was too shy to admit it for quite sometime. Then he remembered when Erani's parents entrusted her with the family sword, which had been used to protect the herd for generations. Ceto decided he wanted to fight evil someday as well, and possibly fight alongside Erani herself. He didn't know that he would get his wish in the future. One day, when they were eighteen, Ceto noticed Erani had disappeared. Jolie told him that she'd gone exploring to see if the forest was completely safe. Both of them anxiously waited their friend's return. However, Erani was gone for quite sometime, and Jolie eventually fell asleep. Ceto, on the other hand, stayed awake, hoping Erani would return exactly the way she left. Pretty soon, the sound of galloping hooves echoed in the distance. Erani burst through the trees with an excited look on her face and came to a halt in front of the whole herd. Ceto asked what was the matter. Erani explained that a Dryad named Anie lived in this forest as well and claimed that the forest was enchanted, never to be touched by evil. The herd would be protected completely here, not having to worry about protecting themselves. They believed what Anie said was true, seeing as the forest looked as green and peaceful as two kind allies. Erani then said she wished to go out on adventure because she wasn't needed there. Her parents and the herd reluctantly agreed, but Ceto and Jolie didn't want her to go. They said they would miss her. Erani said she must, if she is to make use of her weapon. Jolie agreed, but Ceto asked her to wait for a minute. He asked her if she remembered the time he helped her with the cut on her leg and she replied yes. "I, um...I fell in love with you back then," Ceto explained. "You're beautiful...and kind. I've just been too shy to say anything. But I admit it now...I love you, Erani." Erani smiled and walked closer to Ceto. "You're very sweet," she said. "I loved you back then too. You've been so kind to me, Ceto, I can't put it to words. I simply never had the heart to tell you myself." It was Ceto's turn to smile, and he leaned over and kissed Erani romantically. Not only was his father proud of him, but Erani's parents were proud of her as well, and once they finished Erani departed for adventure. Ceto knew he would meet her again someday when he went on an adventure of his own. A couple weeks later, Ceto went to his father and said that he, too, wished to have an adventure. Soro replied that Ceto didn't have a weapon, but if he really wanted to leave and go out on his own, he decided to give Ceto the dagger that once belonged to his own father. Proud of getting his first weapon, Ceto strapped the belt and sheath around his waist and sheathed the dagger. Soro also entrusted him with a gold medallion that belonged to Tiera. It bore the emblem of a snowflake in the wind and Soro explained to Ceto that his mother wanted him to have it. Ceto accepted the medallion and headed for the rest of the herd. He gave his good bye to all of them and set out on an adventure of his very own, planning to train as much as he could with the dagger and hopefully find another, better weapon to suit his needs. Ceto traveled far and wide, until one day a pack of wolves leaped through a pair of bushes nearby and surrounded him. He drew his dagger and got ready to fight, but it was no use. The wolves had him greatly out numbered. Ceto tried to fight back by kicking with his hind legs and striking with his dagger. However, it wasn't long before the pack chased him to the edge of a steep hill. Ceto, not looking where he was going, tripped over a rock and tumbled down the hill at a great impact. He fell to the bottom and went unconscious. The wolves left, thinking he got away. Sometime later, Ceto awoke inside a warm cave. A blazing fire was situated in the center and an elderly Centaur was roasting fish. Fish was a popular food among Centaurs Ceto knew, so he wasn't the least bit surprised. He found himself lying on a fur blanket, and his head throbbed like there was no tomorrow. Ceto tried to sit up, but he couldn't ignore the headache. Pretty soon, the elderly Centaur noticed he was awake and set a plate of fish down before them. "You have awakened," the Centaur said. Ceto noticed that she was a female who looked even older than Tiko, the elder of the herd. The old Centaur then said "I'm relieved you're okay." "Oh, my head..." Ceto groaned. "I can't seem to remember anything. Where am I?" The elderly Centaur smiled a wrinkled smile. "Why, you're in my cave," she replied. "My name is Yila and I found you unconscious in the woods out there." Ceto then remembered exactly what had been going on. "Oh yeah! Those wolves attacked and--" he began, but his head was still throbbing. "Ugh, when will the pain stop?" Yila examined Ceto's head for a lump. "I think you'll be fine," she said. "It doesn't appear that you hit your head too hard. Are you hungry?" Ceto nodded and began to hear noises coming from his stomach. He willingly ate some of the fish that Yila provided. It tasted even better than raw fish caught out of a stream. Ceto thanked Yila for the meal and introduced himself to her. "Well, it's nice to meet you," Yila replied with a smile. However, just as she was about to take another bite of fish, she noticed a gold medallion on the blanket Ceto was lying on. She looked at it and said "Is that a medallion over there?" Ceto looked behind him and noticed his mother's medallion had fallen out of the little bag he had for it on his belt. He picked it up off the blanket. "Yeah, this belonged to my mother," Ceto explained. "My father gave it to me after she died..." "How very sad," Yila replied sympathetically. She soon noticed the snowflake emblem on it, widened her eyes, and exclaimed "Wait...isn't that an Ice Medallion?!" Ceto looked at the medallion again. "I'm...not sure," he replied. He handed it to Yila. "Do you know?" Yila looked at the medallion closely and nodded. "Indeed this is an Ice Medallion," she confirmed. Yila explained that anyone in the possession of one of these sacred medallions is to wield one of the many ice weapons Centaurs have used in the past. Bows with magic ice arrows, swords with mighty ice magic, and staffs with the power of ice were all in existance. Yila then went into the back room of her cave for a few minutes and emerged with a staff's sheath and bandoleer. She said that it contained Blizzaron, one of the most powerful ice staffs in existance. It could perform more ice magic than most other ice weapons could ever do, and that training in each attack took a lot of skill. "I see you have great potential in wielding this sacred weapon," Yila said. "I entrust it to you. Use it with pride." Ceto obeyed. He unsheathed the staff from its sheath to take a look at it. Its blue orbs at either end were shiny and bright, with the rest of the staff a bright sky blue in color. "Wow," Ceto complimented. "This makes me wonder how my mother got ahold of this medallion. I feel confident that I can use this staff." Yila smiled gently and went on with her explanation. "I'm glad. I've been holding on to this weapon ever since my older brother died after he used it," Yila continued. "I want you to wield this weapon and be just as great an ice warrior as he was." She then walked up to the east wall and admired a silver chest plate and shoulder padding on the wall. Under it hung a dark blue shirt, a small, black cape, and a pair of black gloves. Yila took the garb from the wall and presented it to Ceto. He took it with pride and amazement. "I entrust you my brother's garb as well," Yila said. "Put it on and be the warrior my brother once was. Show me that you really are his reincarnation!" Ceto willingly nodded and slipped the shirt, armor, and cape over his head. It fit him perfectly and comfortably. Ceto admired it when he was finished. Yila then grabbed a pin from a nearby table and took the medallion. She pinned it to the knot in the cape at Ceto's left shoulder. The gold of the Ice Medallion shown brightly from the fire's light reflecting upon it. "Amazing..." Ceto said. "The clothes suit me very well." "Perfect," Yila admired. "I know you can do great things like my brother did. You must train hard in the way of that staff and make your skills grow. So I shall teach you what that staff can do." Yila then motioned for Ceto to come outside with her. He unsheathed the staff and prepared to train. Yila said the staff was capable of performing nine different magic ice attacks. The first and most simple was Ice Beam, firing a beam of ice at the target. "The staff attacks with its wielder's mind," Yila explained. BA Battles: // Hearts all Over the World Tonight [Anyone; Limit 3] - Complete A Tale to last Eons or a Death Wish? Re: Ranny's Characterized Characters
![]() The Fire Red Dragon ~Kenth~ Name: Kenth Age: 560 yrs (appears to be in his late twenties, however) Gender: Male Race: Laguz (Red Dragon) Race Description: The laguz are a race from Fire Emblem 9 and 10. The term means “being of power” and there are three kinds living on the continent of Tellius. Beast laguz (cats, tigers, lions, and wolves), bird laguz (hawks, ravens, and herons), and the dragon laguz (red dragons, white dragons, and black dragons) live in different areas of Tellius. The cat, tiger, and lion laguz live in the nation of Gallia, the hawks in Phoenicis, the ravens in Kilvas, the herons in Serenes Forest, the dragons in Goldoa, and the wolves in Hatari. The laguz use natural weapons to fight and transform into their animal forms during battle. Kenth’s race, the dragons, live for hundreds of years and stop showing all signs of aging at a certain age. They are ruled by the black dragon royal family of Goldoa. Hair Color: Red Eye Color: Dark red Height: 6’3” in human form, 18'o" in dragon form (they are not very large dragons...for dragons lol) Weight: 170 lbs in human form, 2300 lbs in dragon form Class: Elite Red Dragon (my own original FE class, classes up from Red Dragon) Relationship Status: Single, not really looking, but is interested in girls. Weapon: Kenth, being a dragon laguz, uses his breath to fight. This vid shows a black dragon using the breath (at 2:00-ish) but at much greater strength than Kenth's. It's a bluish green gaseous beam that can cut through a lot of different materials, but Kenth's can't cut things such as buildings like in the vid. Kenth knows how to use his claws and tail too, however, because he thinks relying on breath completely is lazy. He can only fight while in dragon form, however. Armor: While he technically has none, his scaly skin as a dragon protects him from certain kinds of swords, axes, lances, and arrows, particularly ones made of iron. Strengths: Dragon laguz are very powerful, but slow. They have good defense against a lot of man-made weapons that are made of iron, as stated in the armor section. The breath of a dragon laguz can do a lot of damage depending on how accurate the hit is. Iron weapons and all arrows have no effect against dragons whatsoever. Some others will do little damage. Dragon laguz have wings as well, so they are capable of flight. In human form, Kenth is fast and can dodge well, as well as counterattack with a kick or punch. Weaknesses: Thunder is the ultimate weakness of a dragon. Thunder/lightning magic will harm them greater than any other weapon. The dragon laguz are also quite slow, so it is tough for them to hit a fast opponent and to prevent getting hit first. They also attack rather slowly as well due to their size and weight. Another thing, Kenth cannot swim in dragon form, and he cannot fight in human form. He also must change back from dragon form on occasion for a ten minute transformation rest. Skills/Magic: Kenth has no magic, but his skill lies in how well he times his breath, tail, and claws correctly in order to get solid hits. Appearance: Along with bright red hair and dark red eyes, Kenth wears a brown shirt with black pants and a belt. He’s rather muscular and also rather big, since dragon laguz men are normally like that. On his feet are black boots. He doesn’t wear much else other than a dagger in a sheath that is only used to hunt and cut food. Kenth is also not dark skinned and wears nothing on his head except his somewhat untidy and short red hair, as well as his pointed ears, which all laguz have in human form. Dragon: ![]() (pretty much all red dragon laguz look like this in dragon form) Carried Items/Accessories:
Personality: Despite his appearance, Kenth is not hot-headed. He actually is good at keeping his cool in stressful situations. He hates the way King Deghinsea runs Goldoa, however, and believed the dragons should open themselves to Tellius more instead of act closed-minded. However, he’s also a bit arrogant and easily makes rivalries with others. Still, Kenth is always determined to hone his dragon strength and do his very best on the battlefield. He also will protect close friends with his life. Bio: Little is known about Kenth’s family record since dragon laguz live so long. He’s an only child, but he was born to two red dragons many years ago since what is known is that he is a full-blooded red dragon. He grew up in Goldoa and dreamed of battling for his country to the very end. When he was mature enough, he learned to fight and joined the Goldoan army, which was made up of red and white dragons with the royal black dragons leading them. For many years Kenth was loyal to King Deghinsea, Prince Kurthnaga, Prince Rajaion, and Princess Almedha. He even once wished for Almedha’s hand in marriage until it was found that she left Goldoa for the country of Daein, which was inhabited by human beorc (beorc means “being of wisdom” as laguz means “being of power”). Although Kenth knew about the war against King Ashnard, whom was the ruler of Daein, he did not want to have anything to do with it. The same went with the war against the goddess Ashera three years later. When he learned of Rajaion’s death on the hands of Mad King Ashnard and three years later, the death of Deghinsea, he mourned with sorrow. He did his very best to comfort the deceased prince’s fiancée, Ena, especially when she had given birth to the first dragon born in hundreds of years. The two were good friends for quite some time. However, because Kenth could no longer find his place in Goldoa afterwards, he decided to leave. Ena and Kurthnaga, who was now king, fully understood the red dragon’s desires and bid him farewell. After that, Kenth sought out Ena’s grandfather, Nasir, and asked for aid of leaving Tellius. Nasir reluctantly agreed, and helped the desperate laguz fulfill his wish. As he was looking back at Tellius for the last time, Kenth began to think of the tales he’d heard during the events that had happened in the past few decades. He had gotten inspiration out of hearing about the legendary hero, Ike, who was a beorc, and how he was the one who defeated Ashnard and Ashera. Despite his doubtfulness about it, Kenth imagined what it would be like to actually meet Ike one day, as he’d heard something about him leaving Tellius behind forever as well. He remembered how he used to ask Kurthnaga and Ena about Ike since they had met him themselves. In the hero’s honor, he chose to train hard and with effort, in hopes that one day he could accomplish something great himself. Re: Ranny's Characterized Characters
![]() The Noble Commander ~Judo~ Name: Judo Age: 32, but appears to be a couple years older Gender: Male Race: Hylian Hair Color: Light brown Eye Color: Brown Height: 6'2" Weight: 180 lbs (he's muscular, so that accounts for some weight. This also doesn’t include the armor, but with it, Judo is about 210 lbs) Relationship Status: Married to a woman named Kelli. Family: Mira (mother), Semus (father), Kelli (wife), Mayula (daughter) Weapon: Judo's only main weapon is the sword Arion (Ah-ree-in), the hidden treasure of the Hyrulean Royal Knights. It’s a golden and blue-gray hilted one-hand sword that has a blade longer than that of the average normal sword. A dagger is Judo's second weapon, which he carries all the time, even when he leaves his sword behind. He treats the dagger as a back up weapon or uses it for sneak attacks just as my character Ceto does with his. Armor: Being a knight of Hyrule, Judo wears some armor. His armor covers him from his shoulders down to his knees, but not his arms and is light weight to enable him to jump. He doesn't have a shield, because he prefers to counter attacks with his sword rather than simply block them. In addition to being light, it was also upgraded after awhile to protect against pierce weapons such as arrows and spears. Strengths: If Judo is strong in anything, it's defense. Not only is he superb at using his sword to block and counter attacks, but his armor also provides a boost. Judo is also quite strong against archers. His armor covers his front side, leaving archers with no way to hit him except from behind, unless they were to aim for his arms. Judo also takes secret martial arts lessons, and his higher than average physical strength still makes him a danger even when he's unarmed. In fact, Judo is so strong, he has been known to match the strength of Link's Silver Gauntlets (which give Link power in his arms). Weaknesses: Although Judo seems to be the ultimate defense machine, there are still ways to get around him for damage. For starters, he's vulnerable to attacks from behind, as he has no way to counter them. He is very weak against magic attacks due to the fact that he pretty much cannot block them in any way whatsoever. In fact, the only way he could is if a ball of magic was fired at him (then he could deflect it with Arion). Judo is also not very good at dodging moves because he prefers to block against them. That makes magic an even greater weakness to him. And although Judo's armor is lighter than normal armor, it is still heavy enough to slow him down when he runs or walks, and that poses a problem against faster opponents. Skills/Magic: Judo has five main sword techniques, four of which he created himself as well as others. These four are the ones he came up with himself.
Appearance: Judo is a rather tall and quite handsome man. He also has muscles that look very similar in strength to Ike’s from FE10. His light dusty brown hair isn’t very long at all, but is slightly messy. He wears dark blue and gold armor along with a blue, white, and gold cape. Judo has armor on his shoulders, arms, chest, and legs. He wears a pair of brown boots, has a gold medal with a Triforce symbol in front of two crossed swords inscribed on it (which is attached to his cape), and wears a belt. He has his sheath attached to the belt. The sheath hangs over Judo’s leg armor. His pants are dark brown while his shirt is red-brown. The sheath that holds his dagger is attached to his right leg underneath the armor. Personality: The core of Judo’s personality is the fact that he loves telling jokes. He has a great sense of humor and makes up his own jokes as well as tell the ones he’s heard from others. Judo is also a kind and caring man, but also tends to be a bit clumsy and lazy. He also has a knack for wanting revenge on any seriously bad thing done to him or involving him and when he is determined and angry enough, he has a tendency to do something reckless by accident. Although he cares about all his friends as well, Judo’s first priorities are always protecting his wife, Kelli (who is 31), and 13-year-old daughter, Mayula. Bio: There is a hidden legend told by the Royal Family in the land of Mayia. It tells of four powerful ancient warriors who together vanquished darkness and evil. They were known as the Gifted Four. One was a princess who possessed a pure heart and great wisdom as well as a talent with the bow. Another was a hero possessing the power of the moon and was capable of using weapons of all kinds, as well as great courage to no limit. The third was a woman who possessed the power of healing tears and the power of the sun. The fourth was a knight whose inner strength and powerful might was unleashed whenever he was met with very difficult challenges. Judo is the reincarnation of this very same knight and a member of the current Gifted Four himself. Judo was born to couple Mira and Semus in Kakariko Village during the fierce war in the land of Hyrule. The first five years of his life were some of the happiest times he can barely remember. His father had been a merchant who traded goods of all sorts between Hyrule and its allied neighbor, Mayia. One year just two weeks after Judo had turned five years old, his father had disappeared while at work. An enemy kingdom of Mayia's had declared war on them, and Semus had gone missing during a surprise ambush. A group of Mayian soldiers found pieces of his packed up goods and pieces of bloody clothing. Due to the evidence, Semus was declared dead. When Mira and Judo had heard the news, they had never cried more in their entire lives. Judo had been very close to his father as a young child, and grieved for him for quite some time. He became so depressed over the next two years that he nearly became suicidal, and lost his friend, Yaku, over his problems. Yaku had simply gotten tired of Judo’s changed ways and gave up on him. This made Judo’s depression worsen, and he was about to go attempt suicide until he saw a young blonde girl who looked about his age sitting on the well in the village. The girl happened to be Kelli, a runaway from the Kokiri Forest. Judo went up to her and asked her if she was alright and then asked to play. Kelli had agreed, and in no time at all, their bond grew closer and stronger, and were soon best friends. Every day they played together and did many activities. Mira was very happy to see her son enjoying himself again after losing his father. Two years later, however, when both Kelli and Judo were ten years old, they discovered a secret shrine just north of Kakariko barely outside of Hyrule. Inside was the legendary Sun Sword, the blade forged to thwart the evil of the sun monsters. Kelli felt as though she should take the sword, and she did. Judo wanted to stop her, but once he saw the mark of the sun appear on the back of her left hand, he figured she was right after all. Kelli then said she needed to leave Hyrule and find out more. She didn’t want to accidentally hurt anybody, she said, and Judo was reluctant to agree with the plan. He was able to abide by his best friend’s wishes, and the two bid their goodbyes. Seven years went by as Judo continued to think of Kelli. When he was 16 years old, he was inspired by what Kelli’s goals were and became a Royal Knight of Hyrule. It was then his gift in swordsmanship was discovered. He learned faster than the other new recruits, including Yaku, causing him to grow jealous. Yaku, although he was training to be a castle guard and lance/spear user, still grew even more hateful of Judo. Judo soon heard of an adventure Kelli had gone on and saved Mayia from the Dragon Lord, Notu. A sun monster of great power, the humanoid dragon was looking for something that apparently was not in Mayia. Given even greater inspiration, Judo trained day and night and became one of General Arion’s top soldiers in the span of just months. Although still doubtful that he would ever surpass his leader, Judo continued to train. Soon Arion began putting Judo in charge of certain missions. Judo was unsure why, but he complied and led a group of knights to several victories. Arion grew ever proud of him and knew exactly what he wanted Judo to do in the future. One day, however, just a few weeks after Judo’s 17th birthday, while the knights were aiding Mayia against Tyrania once more, Arion challenged one of the Tyranian generals. Judo, who was again assigned to be in charge of a few missions, had just rejoined him. Suddenly, he caught a glimpse of the enemy general’s blade get driven into Arion’s stomach flesh. The well-respected general soon fell off his horse and collapsed on the ground. Judo rushed to his aid, but he knew Arion wouldn’t make it if he were to try getting him medical care in time. Arion instead struggled to talk to his top knight. “J-Judo…listen…go see his majesty…” he mumbled. “After…this is…all over..” “Alright…what do I have to talk to him about?” Judo asked, trying hard not to let tears come to his eyes. “Tr-treasure…sword…ugggh.” Arion couldn’t finish his sentence and died soon after. Unsure what the general meant by his final words, Judo and the deputy commander ended the battle as soon as possible and fled back to Hyrule Castle. A funeral was held for General Arion, and Judo went to see the King immediately afterward, the general’s words still floating through his mind. The King explained why Judo had been put in charge of several missions and said Arion wished for Judo to succeed him as the new general when the time came. Judo was unsure he could handle the job, but to honor his leader, he accepted and was granted his cape and blue and gold armor along with the medal worn by the general at all times to show his rank. After Judo asked the King about Arion’s mention of a treasure and a sword, the King asked the newly made General Judo to follow him. He led Judo to a hidden room downstairs in the weapons area and showed him a golden and gray-blue hilted sword stuck into a royal pedestal. “This is the hidden treasure of the Royal Knights. Arion wanted you to take this sword as well, Judo,” the King said. “He did?” Judo asked. The King went on to say that the sword had been forged by Arion’s ancestors and was only wielded by those dubbed worthy. Arion believed Judo was worthy and the King couldn’t agree more. Judo then pulled the sword from the pedestal and put away his old sword back in the other room holding unused or extra weapons. Despite being around for quite sometime, the sword had no name, the King said. Judo suggested it be called Arion after the departed general. The King found it to be a splendid idea and agreed that the sword would from now on be called Arion. A few more months passed, and the support of Judo’s men only grew. One day while they were training, Judo heard the roar of monsters in the courtyard and went to investigate. He found monsters there, and cornered against the wall was none other than Kelli, who was now grown up and more beautiful than ever. For whatever reason Judo didn’t know, she was unarmed, and Judo fought the monsters for her. She thanked him, but didn’t recognize him at first. When he told her who he was, Kelli was more happy than ever to see him again. Time went by, and when the two were caught in an adventure that led them to Mayia again, their relationship began to change. The two were falling deeply in love. However, as their romance slowly blossomed, so did evil. When the evil plot to resurrect Notu after he was again defeated by Kelli (but along with the Hero of Time, Link, this time) in Hyrule just two weeks before was revealed, the two, along with Link and Princess Zelda of Hyrule, stopped it from happening. It was also at this time that all four discovered they were the reincarnated members of the Gifted Four. Semus had also been found, turning out that he had been captured by Tyranian forces and imprisoned all those years. He could not escape for a long time. However, It was a month after this adventure that Judo and Kelli were finally married. They had a baby girl a year later, Judo at age 19 and Kelli 18 (she was months younger than Judo). Many years went by and their daughter, Mayula (named after Mayia and Hyrule), grew up into a girl of 13. She was at age 12 when Kelli and Judo began training her in the way of the sword, however. Although he had now been general of the Hyrulean Royal Knights for at least 13 years now, 32-year-old Judo still thought of General Arion and continued to lead the knights in his honor. He soon decided to begin traveling outside of Hyrule, not just to Mayia, but other lands as well while still doing his work as a knight at the side. Re: Ranny's Characterized Characters
![]() ~The Lightning Reaver~ Zarek Name: Zarek Age: 24 Gender: Male Race: Beorc (Human) Race Description: Beorc is simply the human race of Fire Emblem. They're more like the Hylians from Zelda, however, as they're able to use magic and wield weapons that have special properties/magic powers. Only difference is no pointed ears. Though Zarek isn't one of the mages (magic users), he does have an axe with magic abilities known as the Bolt Axe. Hair Color: Aqua green Eye Color: Green Height: 6'2" Weight: 185 lbs Class: Reaver Relationship Status: Single, but he loves a girl named Lily and doesn't realize it. Weapon: Zarek has two axes on him, a Bolt Axe and a Silver Axe, which he keeps at his back. The Silver Axe is just a normal axe of strength greater than steel or iron axes. The Bolt Axe has electricity magic and can be thrown like a hand axe at an opponent as well as be used at close range. Armor: The only armor Zarek wears is spiked shoulder armor since he is of the Reaver class (a class that classes up from Warriors, which class up from Fighters. They're all axe wielders). Strengths: Reavers are heavy hitters with good defense. Their axes house more power than any other weapon in Fire Emblem with the exception of unique weapons such as Ike's Ragnell. As a powerhouse, Zarek has the ability to potentially inflict big damage on his opponents. He has also learned to use electricity to his advantage with the Bolt Axe in two ways: one, to inflict the electric magic on his opponent, and two: temporarily infuse the electric magic with the Silver Axe for a dual electric axe weapon combination, which is a technique Zarek discovered for himself. If water is around, that provides an even greater boost to his electricity because the water can conduct it. Also, Zarek fights best when a thunderstorm is happening. Weaknesses: Zarek is a little slow due to his rather heavy weight and heavy axes. He also has little range unless he brings out the Bolt Axe for distant attacks. Since Zarek has little armor, he's vulnerable to attacks from practically any weapon, although he's pretty good at blocking them with one of his axes. Magic (except electric magic, obviously) poses the biggest threat, however, as Zarek can't defend himself against it well at all. Skills/Magic: Zarek, being the highest class in his class line (Fighter -> Warrior -> Reaver), is very skilled with axes. He can wield two or one at once, whichever the situation calls for. The only magic he has is the electricity housed in his Bolt Axe, but he can do a few skills with both it and the Silver Axe.
Appearance: Zarek is tall, kind of handsome, and bears the general appearance of Reavers. His aqua green hair reaches down to his ears and he wears the kind of headband Boyd does. He also has the same kind of spiked shoulder armor, but the rest of his attire is different. Zarek wears gray-blue pants with a brown and gold shirt above that. On his feet are brown boots. Two belts are worn across his chest to hold his two axes. He also wears a belt around his waist. Dark brown gauntlets cover his hands. Personality: Zarek cares not for anyone he doesn't know, but if he sees something like a lone woman or woman and baby being attacked or a person in severe pain/looks like they're dying, he'll rush to help for sure. He can also be a bit snobbish to those he doesn't like and often walks away from their situations. Zarek cares deeply for friends and family, however, but even then his snobbish ways sometimes get in the way. Bio: Zarek is a beorc in the time of FE9 and 10, but was born and raised in the continent of Altarais, which is west of Tellius. He is from nation of Talgria whose father was an axe user himself while his mother was a Cleric. They had both served in the Talgrian army before getting killed in battle during a past war against the neighboring land of Aorin. Zarek was at age 10 when this occured and was devastated at the news. From that point on, Zarek lived with his grandfather, who agreed to teach the young boy the way of the axe if he could show him he was worthy. After not getting over the loss of his parents for some time, Zarek, at age 15, stepped up to his grandfather and said he wanted to prove himself worthy. To do that, Zarek had to take a normal iron axe and be able to kill food with it. Confident he could do it, Zarek gripped the axe and snuck up on a wild pig not far away. Not long after, he was walking home with a pig carcass in his arms. His grandfather was proud and the axe lessons began. For many years, Zarek trained with the steel axe he had been entrusted by his grandfather. He started out in the Fighter class, but going up was not easy. It wasn't until he was 20 that he got a good taste of combat and battling. Zarek had run into a group of warriors led by a woman named Azura and a man named Ike. He learned their quest to recover a piece of the Fire Emblem from the dragon laguz nation of Orenias in order to prove Azura's bloodline (as well as the fact that she wore one half of the Fire Emblem around her neck as a pendant), knowledge needed to save Altarais from a mysterious evil darkness. The whereabouts of the missing half of the Ether Stone (the Fire Emblem) were not precisely known, however, only that it had been lost years ago and somehow ended up in Orenias. During this quest, Zarek fought hard and many times, which gradually classed him up to a Warrior and later a Reaver. He soon gathered up enough gold to get a stronger weapon than his old steel axe and obtained a Silver Axe. It was also during this time that he met Lily, another member of Lady Azura's group. She fell in love with Zarek rather quickly and began to "chase" him. He was embarrassed by her a few times, but never truly disliked her. Later on, during one particular battle, Zarek found himself against another axe user, one that wielded a Bolt Axe, a kind of axe he had never heard of or seen before. Thinking he might want to take it, Zarek fought the man and took a few injuries, but eventually managed to take him out. He immediately plucked the Bolt Axe off of the body and held onto it as the remainder of the enemy approached. Then, he started to feel stronger than normal for an unknown reason. As he gripped his new Bolt Axe, he felt the urge to use its electricity magic and somehow felt it would be powerful. Able to throw it, Zarek aimed at one of the other enemy soldiers and it took him down in one shot. Amazed, Zarek then recalled the lessons from his grandfather. He realized that he must have taught him in a way where he would be able to use magic weapons more effiiciently than normal. Azura broke his trance when he heard her voice behind him. "Zarek! Whoa, I had no idea you could use a Bolt Axe so well," she said. "Usually axe users do better with everything else, but that weapon seems to be the best thing for you." "Oh! Erm...yeah, I'm rather shocked about that myself," Zarek replied. From then on, the Bolt Axe and Silver Axe were Zarek's prized weapons. When the quest was over, he returned to his training again and eventually taught himself to temporarily use the electricity with the Silver Axe as well as the other skills he now knows. Zarek, at age 24 now, travels around in search of new places to train and even opponents to go against. BA Battles: Within the Bamboo Thicket... Re: Ranny's Characterized Characters
![]() ~The Combo Master~ Mayula Name: Mayula (MAY-ool-ah) (although many call her May for short) Age: 13 Gender: Female Race: Mutahylian (explained in bio) Hair Color: Light brown Eye Color: Teal blue Height: 5’2” Weight: 98 lbs Relationship Status: Single, not looking. Family: Judo (father), Kelli (mother) Weapon: Mayula fights with a pair of dual blades known as Aris and Aros, both made to her size. They look nothing like Gerudo dual swords (the all female tribe from Zelda uses them as well), however, and are straight instead of curved. Armor: None. Mayula guards by shielding herself with her dual blades crossed in front of her. Strengths: Mayula’s strengths closely resemble that of her mother. Like her mother, Mayula is fast, jumps well, and dodges well. Her biggest strength, however is comboing. Mayula’s friends often call her the combo master for the number of combos she’s come up with and shown her parents. Mayula also has the ability to manipulate locks and a few other objects without touching them (mostly small ones that don't weigh a lot), and enemies often do not know what a bad idea it is to capture her by locking her up somewhere. Weaknesses: Despite being as great at comboing as she is, Mayula is more weakness prone than Judo. Like her mother again, she is not very good at shielding. Mayula is also very vulnerable to arrows, magic, and most of all, spears. Spears can not only function like arrows, but they outrange Mayula close up as well. Lances provide some weakness because of this as well, but because they only attack close up, Mayula has a much better chance of avoiding them. Skills/Magic: Although May is young, she inherited Judo's skills as well as natural talent with the use of swords. She seems strong for her age, but it is really no surprise because Judo was the same when he was much younger. Mayula knows three of her father’s self-created techniques, Sword Kick, Air Slash, and Shield Draw.
Appearance: Mayula has her father’s light brown hair and the teal blue eyes of her mother. She also inherited Kelli’s long legs. Mayula wears her long, waist-length hair in a ponytail that flows behind her. Around her neck she wears a long, light blue scarf, and at her back is a sheath for one of her swords. The other sheath is at her waist attached to a belt. Mayula wears a purple shirt with sleeves that wrap around the sides of her shoulders. Her pants are dark blue while her short, high-heeled boots are brown. She wears white gloves on her hands that don’t completely cover them. Her shirt has pieces that extend past her waist. Here's a picture I drew, but not colored (sorry it's blurry). Carried Items/Accessories:
Personality: Mayula is quite a confident girl who’s often full of energy. She always strives to be great at what she wants to do and is inspired by her parents. Even though Mayula feels Judo is overprotective a lot, she always enjoys training and sparring with her father even when she makes a mistake or two. Mayula enjoys training with her mother as well, especially since Kelli had indirectly given her most of her combo ideas. And although Mayula is generally a very kind girl, she can get stubborn at times and also takes after her father in clumsiness. Bio: Mayula was born to Kelli and Judo in Hyrule Castle. It was both a great and tough time in their lives. Judo had been sent to battle during the time Mayula was supposed to be born and had barely made it back due to a severe injury. He survived it, but it took a long time to heal. When he saw Kelli in bed with their newborn baby, however, he smiled for a long time at the thought of being a father. Kelli smiled back and cuddled the baby girl in her arms, wondering what to name her. “Kel, we still haven’t decided on a name. Any ideas?” Judo asked. “Hmm…oh! Why didn’t I think of this before? We can call her Mayula,” Kelli suggested. “Mayia and Hyrule have been so good to us and one another. I thought it a neat idea to combine them into a name.” “Hey, that’s a great idea! Mayula it is,” Judo agreed. “We could call her May for short.” “Yeah, we could, huh?” Mayula grew up to be a cute young girl. She inherited her father’s light brown hair and her mother’s teal blue eyes as well as her Mutahylian blood. Mutahylians are a group of rare Hylians who possessed a single supernatural power when born, such as reading minds, healing abilities, telling the future, and more. And like both of her parents, she developed a liking for swords and wished to learn to use one like her parents did someday. Mayula also had inherited her mother’s stubborn ways and her father’s somewhat clumsiness according to her best friend, Princess Vira, who was the daughter of Zelda and Link. It was when Mayula was only seven years old that she and her parents discovered her ability to manipulate objects without touching them. It was one day when random monsters suddenly took Mayula hostage and locked her up in a cave on Death Mountain. Kelli went after her and attempted to free her daughter, but wound up being captured as well. Judo didn’t receive the news of his captured wife and daughter until later when Conan, the deputy commander of the Royal Knights, discovered them missing and heard from Link that Kelli had gone to Death Mountain looking for Mayula. Outraged and extremely worried, Judo set out to rescue them both and found the cave where they were being held. He battled the creatures responsible for the capture, a Dragolfos and Dinolfos, but tripped and got his foot stuck between two rocks after the Dinolfos went down. He couldn’t free himself, and when little Mayula saw her father about to get struck, she got so angry she let her eyes glow white and unlock her chains without touching them by hand. She ran up to the Dragolfos, dashed up its long tail as if it were stairs, and clung to the creature’s head. “You leave my Daddy alone!” she yelled in a squeaking voice. The Dragolfos couldn’t see and kept trying to shake the little girl off. Kelli watched the sight in shock as Judo finally managed to free himself and go after the creature. Suddenly, the Dragolfos had thrown Mayula off and sent her flying across the chamber. Judo gasped and rushed in her direction, just barely managing to catch the girl. He fell over in the process, but put her down and stabbed the Dragolfos in the back before it could do anymore damage. It died in almost an instant. “Judo! May!” Kelli called. Judo brought May back over to her mother and they asked if she could try freeing Kelli. Mayula tried again, found that she could use her power at will. Kelli was freed in no time at all, and all three of them escaped the cave. Vira, Link, Zelda, and Conan were all relieved to find they were safe. Vira especially, because of their strong bond. Mayula and Vira loved hanging out ever since they were little and they often went shopping and things together. By the time the two girls were at age 12, they both discussed how they would convince their parents to teach them to fight the way they did. Since Vira’s father used a sword while her mother used a bow, she had trouble choosing. Mayula suggested she go with the bow because Mayula would already be using a sword, plus both Link and Zelda knew archery skills. So for awhile they dreamed of fighting the enemy alongside one another in battle and achieving many victories. Pretty soon, they both became so excited that they couldn’t wait any longer to ask their parents to train them. Mayula ran to the training grounds looking for her father as fast as her legs could carry her. She spotted him sparring with the deputy commander, Conan, and politely interrupted. “Hey, Dad!” Mayula called, her long hair flowing behind her. Judo turned around to find his daughter happily racing up to him. “Oh, hi there, May. What brings you out here?” he asked with a smile. “I want to learn to use a sword just like you and Mom!” Mayula said with excitement. “And I know just how I want to do it!” “Really now? I knew this day would come. Of course we’ll teach you,” Judo agreed while still smiling. “Conan, can you go get Kelli and tell her to meet me in the armory? And inform the men that I’ll be busy with my daughter for awhile.” “Of course, Judo,” Conan agreed. He sheathed his sword and disappeared through the castle doors. Judo turned his attention back to Mayula. “So, May, what’s your idea on how you want to learn?” he asked. “Well, I thought since you wield one sword and Mom wields one sword, I’ll wield two! One to wield with pride for each of you!” Mayula exclaimed. “So I’d like to learn to use dual blades.” “Dual blades, eh? Hehe, one to wield for both me and your mother sounds good to me!” Judo replied. “It’s like you’re doing the fighting for us!” Mayula put her hands to her hips. “Dad!” she beamed, knowing her father was joking. Judo couldn’t help but laugh. “Haha, you know I’m just kidding,” he said. “Follow me. I know just what you can train with.” With that, Judo led Mayula away from the training grounds and back inside the castle. Mayula looked around and wondered what awaited her in the castle armory, the room where weapons were made and stored. When Judo finally led his daughter to a big wooden door, he opened it to reveal a wide assortment of weapons, including swords, axes, bows, lances, and more. She browsed around as Judo looked for the thing he was looking for. He motioned Mayula to come to him when he finally set eyes on a pair of dual blades sized for a smaller person. “Here you are, May,” Judo said. “These are just your size. We had weapons at this size forged for those younger aspiring soldiers. People can start training at as young as your age, you know, but not actually get recruited until at least age 16.” Mayula picked up the dual blades in her hands and looked at them. “Wow, these look really cool!” she complemented. “I’m glad you like them,” Judo replied with a smile. “Let’s go back to the training field now. I wonder why your mother hasn’t made it here yet…” “Yeah, that’s weird. Maybe Captain Conan is still looking for her,” Mayula suggested. “Perhaps.” As the two wondered where Kelli and Conan may be, they made their way back to the training grounds. Once through the big wooden door and outside in the bright sunlight again, Judo looked around for a good spot to start teaching Mayula. Just minutes later, however, they heard footsteps coming up from behind them. Judo raised his eyebrow and along with Mayula turned around to see none other than Kelli and Conan trying to catch up to them. Kelli was fully ready to begin, her Sun Sword at her back. She and Conan slowed down as they approached Judo and Mayula. “There you two are,” Judo said. “We were wondering what kept you.” “Oh, Conan knew where to find me, but I had to let Link borrow some arrows,” Kelli explained. “He and Zel are teaching Vira to use a bow. Are you ready to learn to fight like us, May?” “You bet, Mom!” Mayula cried with excitement. “I can’t wait until Vira and I battle side by side!” “Heh, well, then we’d better get started,” Judo replied with a smile. “Show your mother the dual blades I gave you.” Mayula then happily held up the two swords in her hands. Conan’s eyes widened when he saw them, seemingly recognizing them. Kelli smiled, but Conan started to talk before she could say anything. “Hey, those are my grandfather’s old swords, Aris and Aros. After he died, my father let me donate them to the castle,” Conan explained. “I wouldn’t mind if May used them, of course.” “Really? I thought they looked pretty unique,” Judo said. “Well, May, try simply swinging them first.” May obeyed and swung both swords horizontally and vertically. “Hey, that was pretty good!” Kelli complimented. “Yeah, I was watching Dad spar with Captain Conan earlier,” Mayula said proudly. “That’s a good way to learn too,” Judo replied. “Now we’re going to teach you a few more simple swings.” For a long time Mayula trained hard with Aris and Aros, showing both Kelli and Judo how well she could do what she’d learned from them. In time, Mayula began trying to combine her mother and father’s techniques, the first one being a Helm Splitter followed by a Sword Kick right after. Vira and Mayula both trained together a lot and eventually had their first real battle as a test when monsters had suddenly appeared in Lake Hylia one day. They both made their parents proud, as Vira’s accuracy with a bow had excelled while Mayula had trained hard with her combos. By the time Mayula was 13, Vira, Conan, and even some of the other knights started calling her the combo master and the knights and Conan even asked her to show them how she did each move combo. She gladly taught them and Judo was ever more proud of his daughter for helping to heighten the skills of his men. In time, Mayula decided to travel herself, just as Judo had been, but it was mostly in secret. Judo was often a bit overprotective of his daughter and kept a big eye on her during their real battles and sparring, though, but it didn’t stop the determined young girl from exploring and experiencing new battles.
