Cyrus: Eternally Lost Half-Dragon
Name: Cyrus
Age: 28 years old Race: Blue Half-Dragon (the Dungeons & Dragons™ kind of blue dragon for those who know, but a bit different in the case of half-dragon stats) Gender: Male Hair: None. He has short blue horns on the back of his head and dramatic blue frills on the sides of his head. He has a “beard” of these spikes on his chin. Eyes: Electric blue Weight: 176 lbs. Height: 7’’3 ft. Appearance: Cyrus wears a titanium bracer that makes him look exactly like any other human being. When he takes it off, however his true form is revealed: He has an elongated face, a jagged horn in the center of his face, and a scar over his right eye. His large jaw reveals a row of crocodile-like teeth. Dramatic blue frills on the sides of his head cover his ears. He has disproportionately large hands and his arms are covered with spikes. He has three toed reptilian feet and has two sets of boots, one pair that look normal, and another designed to fit his feet. Weapons: Cyrus could be called a one man wrecking crew. He carries weapons and equipment wherever he can fit them. Here’s the line up: Weapon 1: Double-Sided Polearm: Cythrex’s favourite weapon in battle is his polearm. (*Disclaimer: I got the idea from Lord Yuan’s sword in Tales of Symphonia™. It looks very similar to it) It packs power and can do some real damage (although not much better or worse than any other weapons around here). It is much lighter than it looks. Due to its strange shape it can work as several weapons: A cumbersome greatsword, a double bladed sword, and a very dangerous quarterstaff. Weapon 2: Dual Scimitars: Cyrus’ secondary weapons are his pair of scimitars. He can cause one of them to erupt into a flaming scimitar and that makes it extremely dangerous. Also, they are much lighter than his Polearm allowing him to take full advantage of his speed. He never wields just one of them at a time. Weapon 3: Sickles: He has six of them; four are made to strap onto his arms side by side, and the other two he wields with his hands. The ones on his arms extend past his hands and then turn back inwards. He essentially just takes random swipes with them. The ones in his hands he uses to take accurate slashes at enemies. Armour: He wears light, leather armor to make sure that he can take complete advantage of his speed and maneuverability. It was white, but Cyrus dyed it vivid red. The leather armor also has no sleeves and no back: No sleeves because the spikes on his arms caught on them, and no back so that he could fit his wings through. He wears baggy leather breaches designed so that his three toed talon-like feet don’t get caught in them. They are jet black. He either wears regular armored boots or three toed boots, also designed to fit his reptilian feet. Strengths: He is immune to the effects of lightning, and can even attract lightning bolts in a thunderstorm due to a very high concentration of iron in his horn. He usually puts his polearm just above his horn because it will absorb the electrical power for lightning based attacks of It’s own. Of course, Cyrus can choose what kind of attack it makes just by saying the name of the attack. *Disclaimer: Nintendo and Namco Tales Studios own many of implied attacks. Weaknesses: Wind speeds as fast as – or faster than – the wind speed of a gale cause him to become absolutely landlocked. If he jumps, he will always fall, and if he trys to fly against the wind, his wings will work like parachutes, causing him be "dragged" backwards though the air and slamming him into the surfaces behind him until he gets caught on one or flattened (figuritivly) against one. violently He is extremely sensitive to cold temperatures. They will slow him down dramatically and in a blizzard he might even fall out of the air while flying. Needless to say, he hates snow and ice. Skills/Magic: Cyrus has wings and is able to fly very well. He is very fast both when running and flying. His favorite power however, is that he cannot breath fire. Why? Because instead, he is capable of shooting lines of lightning from is mouth. He is also a very well practiced swordsman. Although he cannot cast magic, his polearm and flaming scimitar can channel magical energy. The flaming scimitar can cast fireball spells five times a day (five times in the same battle thread) and his polearm can channel electrical energy for all manner of lightning/electricity-based attacks. Personality: Although Cyrus isn’t evil, he has a streak of cruelty when fighting that could undoubtedly fit him into that category when he’s on the battlefield. He frequently joins adventuring parties to give extra support on their quests. He has a gruff demeanor and he frequently says things in too much of a blunt manner. Although he can be a very cruel fighter, he lives by a strict code of honour and frequently is helpful to people. He has a very powerful presence and can get anyone he wants to listen to him. Biography: Cyrus' homeland is in a place that is literally in an entirely different world: Although this world was unnamed, it is usually known by the name of what is also the name of the largest continent in that world, and the name of the most powerful country on that continent, and even the name of the capital city of that continent: Greyhawk. He was born in a small city called Talonmire, far away from the country of Greyhawk, although still on the continent. His human mother died in the act of giving birth to him, and his father abandoned the mother eight months before Cyrus was born. He barely survived his childhood, living in the back room of a shop owned by a generous human blacksmith named Surl. When he was ten years old, Cyrus began to start working for the Surl. He lived fairly peacefully until he was seventeen years old, when a shadowy assailant butchered Surl and stole an immensely powerful unhallowed item that he (Surl) had hidden away to stop anyone from using it. Cyrus ran after him and caught him about a mile away from the city at which point the murderer transformed into a dragon and revealed that not only was he a dragon (which by then was obvious) named Tarahnyx, but also that he was Cyrus' brother. Knowing that he was powerless against this creature, Cyrus returned to the now vacant blacksmith’s house. The day after, he began a journey to go to the city of Greyhawk, where he became a mercenary for hire and eventually permanently joined a band of adventurers composed of four people who could not have been more different: A dwarven warrior named Tordek, an elven wizardess named Mialee, a human paladin named Jozan, and a halfling rogue named Lidda. He became good friends with them despite the flaws in his personally. He became very powerful over this period and even became good friends with a human girl named Jaina. The two of them developed a very strong relationship (Which will slowly be revealed during flashbacks through Cyrus' memory after I introduce him into my story: The Legend of Zelda: The Lost Chronicles). Years later, he heard about how a dragon named Tarahnyx had been terrorizing a village several miles away from Greyhawk. Taking advantage of this situation, Cyrus went alone to the town and began investigating the surrounding areas. He easily found the cave of his murderous brother and squared off against him. However, he was overcome by his greed and as he hunted through the mounds of treasure outside of his brother's line on vision, he failed to notice that Jaina had come looking for him, worried that he'd been injured. She called his name, and realizing she was trying to help Cyrus, Tarahnyx slaughtered her in front of Cyrus' who had too late tried to rescue her. She was beaten savagely and mercilessly. Her last words were, "I love you Cyrus, don't you love me?" She died before he could answer. Overcome by grief and in a state of berserk rage, Cyrus found the unhallowed artifact and activated it, hoping to use the unholy powers of it to torture his bloodthirsty sibling, only to realize that it was already active and had been controlling his brother since before Cyrus was born. All Cyrus had done was released his brother from it's influence momentarily, during which his brother told him that he was being controlled by the god of nightmares who's name was Tarahnyx. He also told Cyrus that his (the brother's) real name was Cyrian, and that in order to release him from the god's control was to kill him, which he did. The god of nightmares attacked Cyrus and savagely wounded him, but although it was almost a mortal wounded, Cyrus succeeded in slaughtering Tarahnyx. However, in his last moments, Tarahnyx drew out his unholy object that he had stolen from Surl so long ago. He activated it, and it sucked Cyrus into a portal to a random different world. He ended up in Hyrule with no way of returning home. He has since lived on the outskirts of Castle Town occasionally going to look for mercenary jobs in various places around Hyrule, and even in the other provinces. His only two goals are to become powerful enough to return to his home world, and then to die without any honor. He felt entirely responsible for Jaina's death, and he was too grief stricken to live with that haunting his memories. He has also developed a strong hatred towards dragons. He seems to have a strange quality that some Darknuts and Lizalfos seem to like (He’s influenced a Darknut and a Lizalfos to become normal citizens of Hyrule). Meanwhile, back in Greyhawk, the body of the god of nightmares had reanimated itself, and it wanted revenge, and the blood of the one who had killed him was the only thing that would feed his need for it. He would find Cyrus and kill him personally. *Disclaimer: The characters of Tordek, Mialee, Jozan, and Lidda are all property of Wizards of the Coast. The continent of Greyhawk is also property of Wizards of the Coast. *Disclaimer: Hyrule and Castle Town are property of Nintendo.

Re: Cythrex: Eternally Lost Half-Dragon
Very nice for a beginning character. However, there are a few things that could use touching up. First, for those who have no idea what a half blue dragon is in Dungeons and Dragons (Namely myself), please describe them in a bit more detail then what you have. Second, his polearm is a little too powerful to begin with. You can up the power after a few role plays and battles, but not by much. Also, you need to present all hsi weapons on a scale of some sorts so poel know how strong they are. (Example: Unable to peirce through metals stronger then steel) Next, please exapnd the weaknesses section. How does a powerful wind weaken him? What weaknesses does he have that the other characters can exploit?
Other then those few things, I can't see anything wrong with him. Fix those up, then I will have another look at him.
