Re: Character Policies and Guidelines
Time periods are based on characters, not the Amphitheater. You can base your character in any time period you wish.

Re: Character Policies and Guidelines
For future reference, what are the guidelines concerning contacting BA staff about approving characters?
How long are we supposed to wait? (Too short, and we seem like impatient n00bs, too long, and, well... impatience gets to a guy. )I'm not going to contact any muckity-mucks today, obviously, as I only posted my charrie today, but like I say, this would be a good thing to know for the future.

Re: Character Policies and Guidelines
One week before bugging a councilor to check your character. And I'd suggest bugging a councilor who checks characters, as there are some who don't like checking them, and thus would more often grade them poorly.

*Prod* Only Mediators approve characters. Teachers and the BA Mods don't normally evaluate characters. Thus, if you see a person with a council Banner who isn't Scott, PowerShot, Safer, or Zorolo, then you can ask them to approve it. Oh, and Sabbo, it isn't a week, it's when they feel they've been overlooked. Still, give it two or three days first. Councilors have lives, and posts to make too. =P (Shocking, I know)

And I've seen a teacher evaluate before. Namely Aiko, evaluating Tera. :3

I figured that might've been the case when it was mentioned.

The characters get used in roleplays in the Battle School, Battle Arena, and Crossroads subforums. You can read up on them if you're interested.

Re: Character Policies and Guidelines
Hi
*Waves* Just signed up and I have a few questions about the guidelines. Is it ok if we have a character who is a child of one of the main characters, say Link and company? My most developed and elaborate character is one of them. And secondly, are we allowed to post character bios for a canon character if they have been given enough of a story that they've evolved past their role or personality presented in any of the games? |

2) No. A) If you were wanting more of a Zelda-based RP experience, there's one available for people who have joined a clan (eg. I'm in Farore Clan), which you'd be able to do after a month and 50 posts here on Zelda Universe.

Re: Character Policies and Guidelines
I think that Sabbo pretty much covered everything.
The first issue should be okay, since it's still you creating an original character out of a pre-existing universe. The fact that your character is the child of the main protagonist might be a little iffy, but we'll look into it. As for the second issue... we don't really allow that. We want original character concepts, and eve though you say you have evolved them greatly, they are still pre-existing characters, and as thus not original.

Re: Character Policies and Guidelines
If I might ask, what exactly is up for debate about Karin? If you need, I could give you a bit more of a story regarding the mention of Zelda as a villain in the backstory. Karin is actually a a character who exists in a story I wrote in which Zelda slowly devolves into the role of the villain.
