Suggestion one: If you feel like your character is being overlooked, ask a BA Councillor to look at it. Puck (aka. Robin Goodfellow), Ciroton and Cookie, and perhaps others I currently forget, are meant to look around this place semi-regularly anyway.

Say that a character we created originally for fanfictional purposes has been incredibly altered so that it fits into an original story. Since it’s kind of the same character, should we post their original story bio in the same thread or create a new one?

Uhm, keep it in the character's thread. Just be sure your character has sufficiently branched away from the fan fic in which he was created. I mean, it's a foggy line as to how much you can referrence copyrighted material (and by that I mean it varies, very greatly, from approver to approver), but just try to include as little copyrighted material as you possibly can. If you're going to use a character, make it your own.

Huh? No, no, this is one of my characters. I've just converted her into an original fiction character so I can use her in the novel thing I’m writing. I mean should I post that version of the character in the thread I created in the thread I made for the fanfiction version since it’s a version of that character? There wouldn't be any copyrighted material in it at all. The only trais both versions share is race and first name.

Simply curious. Can we give our character a theme song? By that I mean selecting an existing piece of music on the Internet and attaching a link to it in the character description. Just as someting optional.

No, it's something you're assigned by request by the council. All theme songs must be processed by the council, deemed appropriate for the character and not already taken.

Do the characters have to based in the Zelda Universe? Or can they be from anywhere?

Anywhere. It'a actually very rare that we get a character even related to Zelda. Just check out my Windsor, he's nowhere near LoZ based.

Okay, so it's only a few, but still.

But those ones which "pop up" don't usually tend to stick around very long.

Do eyes and hair have to have there own section or can you just add them in appearance. I'm asking becasue the eyes and hair have to do with my character's magic abilities and appearance comes after Magic and eyes and hair don't.

Yes, you'll need to put in Hair & Eyes as their own sections. In your case, I'd just be brief about their descriptions there (those sections only require you to describe the color, not the function, of those body parts), and go into more detail later in the profile.
