Fujin - Twin daggers that he wields in conjunction. Their pommels are made of a green metal while the blades are standard steel and are about 8 inches long. He also has a small throwing dagger hidden in is right boot.
He also has a platinum ring on his right forefinger that triples his magical power. The ring, silver because of the platinum, has swirling designs resembling wind and a flat, blank top that faces upwards.
Armor: None
Strengths: He’s extremely fast, accurate with his daggers, and can strike an enemy in quick succession. Ronin also has good thieving skills and can steal items from his opponents. Wind magic and dark magic has little effect on him. Because of the platinum ring given to him by Haelor, his wind magic has increased three-fold.
Weakness: His speed requires him to make only shallow cuts with his daggers. He can’t take very many hits and is weak against lightning magic and holy magic.
Skills/Magic:
Yana - With this skill, Ronin creates a small gust of wind that can be used to unbalance enemies but it doesn’t work on the large or heavy. It doesn’t hurt the opponent.
Tentarin - This magic lifts Ronin’s feet off the ground a few inches giving him greater speed through levitation. The duration of this spell hinges on how active he is during it.
Ether - A healing spell that he can use to heal minor wounds and injuries.
Joint Spells
Separation - During one of Ronin's fights, a band made by the same cleric that defeated Notus was put on him. The accessory's magic somewhat separates Notus' demonic influence from the boy's soul. As a result, the wind demon is able to detach himself from Ronin and fight independantly. Notus can only hold a physical form for about five minutes and Ronin is unable to use magic when separated. This power can only be used once.
Appearance: Ronin is dressed in a pair of brown pants, boots, a black sleeveless shirt, and a hunter green traveling cloak. He had a belt that holds various pouches for storing stolen items and his lock picks and the sheaths for Vaya and Fujin. There is also a sword-shaped silver necklace he wears, a symbol of his knighthood. A band that is made of greenish-grey metal is also wrapped around his left wrist. He has tan skin from the sun and is somewhat skinny. He has the runic symbol of wind on his right cheek and right hand that glows green when his is performing magic. His grey eyes will also turn different shades of green depending on what emotion he is experiencing.
Personality: This thief is usually stoic about everything. He tries hard not to express any emotion no matter what happens. Despite this, startling Ronin will give that person a long strand of run-on sentences. The thief tends to be rather nervous around people and can be somewhat surprised when kindness is shown to him. He only fights to protect himself or whatever he has stolen, mainly food. He won’t be social with anyone and tries hard not to make friends. Because of this, he is lonely and melancholy which help his stoicism. He acts this way because he is afraid of releasing Notus.
Biography: In the world of Runen’bayn, a wind demon by the name of Notus caused havoc across the seven kingdoms. He killed as he pleased and took women that caught his fancy and used them for food. Whoever tried to slay the beast was killed quickly; no battles lasted more than five minutes. Gliding across the land, Notus thought himself invincible and immortal. But that pride cost the demon his life when he came against a cleric from the theocracy of Terasa. Notus let the woman make the first move, sure that he would win. But the cleric sacrificed her life to make a powerful holy spell that the demon could not escape. Though people mourned her loss, the cleric was a made a heroine and people thought that the despair that was Notus was gone forever.
Four centuries later, Ronin Ako was born in a middle-class family in the kingdom of Jengagan. His mother was a midwife while his father was a smith. Born with the runic symbol of wind on his cheek and hand, his family believed he was a child blessed by the wind deities. His first seven years of life were peaceful and happy. His mother taught him household skills such as cooking and cleaning. He loved to help out his mom at home and enjoyed being with her. He even helped with a few births, something that absolutely terrified him. Then, on his eighth birthday, his father decided to teach him combat. He was even given his two daggers, Vaya and Fujin, as a birthday present. So Ronin learned combat from his father until he was eleven years old.
During his eleventh year, war broke out between Jengagan and the republic of Hanon. One day, the soldiers of Hanon invaded the city where the Ako family lived. Ronin’s father tried to fight the army but was overcome and killed. Then, a few soldiers tried to take his mother for a sex toy. Enraged by all that had happened, the boy attacked the soldiers...
A few hours later, Ronin awoke to a gruesome scene. The soldiers, his mother, and various other citizens laid slaughtered on the streets. Blood was running from blade-like wounds and few corpses had bite marks on them. The boy was so confused and terrified by the sight that he fled his home city to the country of Terasa, who always welcomed refugees from wars. He managed to survive by stealing from towns he came upon. Stealing didn’t settle well with him, he was raised to have honor, but he did it only to survive. The whole trip, he was plagued by the murder at his city and an underlying knowledge of what had done it.
After finally reaching Terasa, Ronin sought shelter at one of the chapels. Inside the one he found was a statue of the cleric whom had defeated Notus. He couldn’t understand why, but the statue filled him with anger. The priests at the chapel took interest in him because of the wind runes on his body. He was questioned about where he came from and tested his abilities, at which point he discovered he could use wind magic. The final test came from a cleric to decide if the thief was a blessed child. Calling to their gods, the cleric found out that the boy wasn’t blessed but rather cursed, a reincarnation of the evil wind demon, Notus. The priests and the cleric tried to kill him at that point to make sure that no one could be hurt again by the demon. But to their demise, when Ronin was hanging on to life by a thread, Notus was released and killed them.
Ronin, now knowing what had happened to his family, fled Terasa and went out into the wilds once more. He was not alone as Notus’ personality constantly plagued him with thoughts of death and destruction. He feared people because he doesn’t want them to be killed by Notus, though the demon can only escape when the thief’s will is badly diminished. He travels town to town, using his now expert thieving skills to stay alive. He doesn’t know if he can ever live peacefully and searches for a way to get rid of the demon, even if it means death.

Weapons: From the elbow down, Notus’ arms actually become sword-like in color, shape, and strength. He is able to cut through most objects though regular armor can block his sword-arms unless he puts enough power behind the blows. They can also regenerate if broken since they are still apart of his body.
Armor: Notus wears a green cloak around his body that can deflect minor attacks. However, because of his confidence, he usually throws it out of his way and prefers to meet opponent attacks with his own.
Strengths: The wind demon excels in about every category including power, agility, and magical prowess and backs it up with amazing cunning. He loves nothing more than to torture an opponent whether it be physical or psychological. Notus can think his way into and out of about every situation that he or Ronin comes across. His confidence make it hard to for an opponent to bluff and he loves nothing more than ripping something apart. The ring that Ronin gained to increase his wind magic also aids Notus in battle, making his spells even more deadly and he is now able to use more than he once could.
Weaknesses: First and foremost, his confidence has to be his greatest weakness. Notus will never step down in a battle or challenge. It also can make him oblivious to something an opponent may have planned. Also, if a foe makes the right taunts, he can become enraged and simply want to kill that person regardless of what it may cost to do so. The demon, because of his wind alinement and demonic power, is weak to lightning and light spells. Notus can only use five of his spells per day, anymore and he would risk doing damage to Ronin’s body which would have adverse side-effects on him as well.
Skills/Magic:
Sight - Even though he has no eyes, Notus has the ability to see the elemental make-up of whatever he is looking at. It can be more effective than normal sight when fighting but can sometimes be a hindrance because he might not exactly be sure of what he is looking at. Colors are as follow: red-fire, earth-brown, water-blue, ice-light blue, wind-green, lightning-purple, dark-black, light-white, metal-gray, plant-pink.
Canae - This creates a whirlwind that lifts the opponent off their feet and makes them prone to an onslaught of Notus’ blades. Only very large and heavy people are unaffected. However, it is easily identifiable because a small breeze twirls around the opponent before it is released and can be completely avoided.
Sesso - A spell that compresses wind into a solid form shaped like a dagger. Hundreds of these are then launched at the opponent. It is hard to avoid but the daggers only create small wounds and are fairly inaccurate.
Aether - Advanced magic that can repair large or deep wounds.
Appearance: Notus’ skin is a sickly green-gray color with lighter colored veins running through it. Most of his body is covered by the forest green cloak that he wears which covers him from the neck to the end of his feet. His arms, as stated before, end is sword-like projections. His feet are proportionate to his size but his toes are fused together so it appears that he has none. The demon’s head is completely smooth, he has no eyes, nose, mouth or ears to speak of. This doesn’t limit his ability to communicate or hear, however. He also floats about one foot off the ground which gives him excellent mobility.
Personality: Notus can be summed up by the word ‘cruel.’ He cares nothing for other people and relished in seeing despair and destruction. The demon adores torturing people, especially if they beg for mercy. One of his favorite things to do is to turn on people that Ronin has befriended and either kills them because they won’t fight back or causing them to completely distrust Ronin. Only a few people have fought Notus, survived, and still trusted Ronin which irks the demon to no end. He despises those people and would like nothing more than to rip them to pieces. Also, he has no patience for holy people such as priests and priestesses. As stated before, Notus shrugs off most taunts. The only ones that really get to him are ones about being sealed away by the priestess of Terasa. While he doesn’t care about anybody, he does try to make sure Ronin doesn’t come to any serious harm and helps when needed. The main reason behind this is because, if Ronin died, he would as well and be reincarnated in another human. He prefers to keep that from happening as long as possible. Notus is also always slightly irritated that Ronin has the ability to restrain him.
Biography: Notus was created straight from the winds themselves by one of the gods that aided in forming the world of Runen’bayn. He was created for the sole purpose of destroying what the other gods had created and killing the life that inhabited the world. Little did he care that he was simply a pawn in a revenge scheme, he performed his duty with glee. For ages that can’t be counted, he glided across the seven kingdoms of Runen’bayn and tormented the people. He killed mainly men but enjoyed feeding on woman and children. His favorite thing was to injure the men so they couldn’t fight and then kill their families in front of their faces. Because his power was exponentially greater than now, the wind demon could easily kill anyone that tried to stand in his way. Notus had almost complete control of the world’s winds and used that power at liberty.
One day, though, he approached by a priestess that hailed from the theocracy of Terasa. Notus laughed at her challenge again him. If strong and well-armored men could not defeat him, what chance did a simple priestess have? In his confidence, he allowed her to make the first move. Even though he was weak against holy magic, those spells never did enough to seriously injure him. But as he saw the complexity and power of the spell she was casting, even her own life was going into it, he immediately tried to attack her. His attack came too late and she cast the spell, ending her own life in the process. People lamented her death but were overjoyed that Notus was finally gone. Except that the spell didn’t kill the wind demon off. The priestess had known that it would take far greater power than she could ever have to end the demon’s life so she had cast a sealing spell. Notus’ soul was incarnated in a random human. And when that human died, he was incarnated into another. While he was partially aware of what was happening to him, he could never form and keep a coherent thought long enough to attempt anything. He drifted between wakefulness and sleep, knowing something was happening but never knowing what.
Finally, four centuries later, he noticed that he felt distress. The distress wasn’t coming from himself but from another person. Unfortunately, Notus could not figure out who. Suddenly, he felt the darkness that engulfed him fade. It still surrounded him but didn’t restrict him. He realized he wasn’t in his own body. Curious as to what has happening, he left the darkness he had known so long. His world became so bright that he had to close his eyes. Until he clearly remembered not having them. Looking around, he saw soldiers massacring people and dragging a woman off. Still confused, the demon looked at the body he was inhabiting. He was immediately disgusted that it was a human body and a young one at that. Searching the human’s memories, slightly surprised that he could do that, he found that he was in the body of Ronin Ako, a local of the city. The current state was because of a war between two countries who’s names he didn’t recognize. But what he found very interesting was that the woman being dragged of was Ronin’s mother and he had been knocked out trying to help her. Wanting to find out just exactly the priestess’s spell did to him, he stood up. That drew the attention of the soldiers who walked towards him with smirks on their faces. Well, the demon would give them something to smirk about. Using his power, he transformed Ronin’s body into a more suitable form. Then he proceeded to easily slaughter the soldiers and citizens that got in his way. While he was irritated that his power wasn’t near what it was before, he was beyond glad to be killing again. The last person he killed was Ronin’s mother which he had a pleasurable time doing.
However, before he could continue his reign of terror that he had been gone from for so long, the demon felt Ronin’s consciousness stir. Suddenly, he was thrust back into that familiar darkness as the boy took control of his body back. Confused and enraged at this, he tried to come out again only to find he couldn’t. Somehow, the boy’s conscious held him in the darkness. The only acceptable explanation Notus thought of was that it was another effect of the priestess’ spell. So he waited in the back of the boy’s mind until he could escape once more. He did find it entertaining, though, when he felt the human’s distress over losing his family and hometown. Even more fascinating was the fact that he could slightly touch Ronin’s conscious. He poked and prodded the boy, trying to communicate and see if doing so would allow him some freedom. The most he managed to communicate, however, was feelings and emotions.
So the wind creature waited for the opportune moment of freedom, not caring where or how but only when. Then came the day that he felt even greater distress and fear boil up in Ronin’s head and finally his will diminished in unconsciousness. Free, the demon found he was in a temple honoring the priestess who had sealed him off. Irked by this, he grotesquely slaughtered the priests and cleric currently in the temple. Unfortunately, it took even less time for the boy to regain consciousness and thrust the demon out of control. Notus was delighted to find that he could now fully communicate with Ronin after his second release. The wind demon was still unable to usurp control with the human fully awake but at least he wasn’t locked in the darkness anymore. Like Ronin, Notus also awaits the day that he can finally be free from the boy and regain the absolute power he once possessed.
