General Appearance:
Redstone is relatively short for his age, built thin and somewhat muscular. He is more than capable of moderate feats of strength, such as those necessary for physical labor or hard trips. He has a somewhat large nose and off-putting abnormally large brown eyes, which tend to wander even when speaking to others, thus giving off a somewhat distracted and disinterested air, despite generally good attentiveness.
Typically wears a light leather jerkin and many layers of leggings, tied up with leather belts, thus protecting his legs from harsh or buggy terrain. A warm dresser in almost any climate due to his birthplace, his clothing is not frequently changed and less frequently washed- long nights in front of fires have left much of his attire covered in soot.

Weapon(s):
Redstone typically carries no weapons, although on long trips or residences in hostile areas, he will look for an adequate bludgeoning weapon, preferably long enough to avoid having to deal with foes wielding close-combat weapons. His hardwood lute is also an effective bludgeoning weapon, but carries sentimental value and thus is infrequently used in combat.

Armor:
Redstone wears no armor save his stiff leather jerkin and his many layers of clothing. However, like his weaponry, he is quick to find makeshift armor in a dangerous situation, and has a preference for light chainmail.

Carried Possessions:
Redstone, aside from his clothing, carries an oaken lute with extra strings, which he is quick to play in a group to raise spirits. He also carries a small burlap sack over his shoulder, in which he stores most of his possessions- a number of rupees and rare gems plus a few strange artifacts from his travels, which span numerous lands and are frequently of interest to explorers and scholars. These are integral to a number of his cons, in which he offers interested parties artifacts in exchange for more valuable possessions, which are sold. He also carries a few clay cups and a walnut for the odd shell game.

Powers/Magic/Skills:
Redstone is, again, a con artist and a bard, and thus has experience with trickery, sleight of hand, and music, though not to outstanding degree. He can play furiously fast music on the spot, although lacks any formal training and thus the ability to play specific tunes or from a score.
Limits:
Not particularly skilled in trickery, doesn't know much "stage magic" beyond a few tricks of sleight of hand, and can't play specific music on command.
Side-Effects:
Other than the fact that music is loud and thus noticeable and not useful in hostile situations, Redstone has no specific magical powers and thus no serious side effects beyond a few calluses from furious playing.

Battle Weaknesses:
It is perhaps best to list Redstone's weaknesses in combat first. Firstly, he has had no combat training whatsoever, and thus his skill in battle is limited to "hit it really hard", "don't get stabbed", and "run the hell away". He is not proficient in bladed weapons and in largely incapable of defending himself in close combat. He can lose focus in a crowded melee and has little to no tolerance for pain.
Battle Strengths:
On the plus side, Redstone is more or less proficient with a bow and arrow, and he is agile enough to pull off "don't get stabbed" and "run the hell away" more or less dependably. He's also somewhat stealthy, and thus can usually knock an unaware opponent unconscious with a sufficiently heavy weapon.

Other:
Redstone travels with a merchant caravan which brings him to different lands, and thus is usually surrounded with people who are more or less allies, yet tend to be disconnected from him other than as a source of entertainment.

Personality:
Redstone is, by all appearances, a friendly person, and tends not to make enemies beyond those he has conned. His general attitude is one in which he does not get in a bad mood unless someone has specifically wronged him. He is somewhat cowardly, though, and tends to panic under pressure. He is also secretively intelligent and observant, and finds himself enraptured by stories of ancient cultures and great heroes.
He tends to crave approval, and if not approval, it satisfies him to at least know someone else has been entertained. Because of this, he does well in groups, finding safety among people who will defend him and enjoy the fruits of his talents. He is also full of idea of chivalry and courtesy, and when he has no interest in conning someone will make every effort to come off as a gentleman, especially around women, whom he acts in a nervous but cheerful manner about, taking every opportunity to appear strong and gentlemanly.

Likes:
Good food, comfort, and being surrounded with friends and allies. Also fond of shiny objects and pulling off a successful con. Redstone is also interested in ancient knowledge for reasons he doesn't quite understand.
Dislikes:
Pain. Pain is his biggest dislike, and next to that is discomfort. Any situation in which he has no access to good food and shelter is one capable of shattering his perpetual good mood. Next to discomfort is disapproval and hate, as well as losing allies.
Fears:
Pain once again, as well as a number of foods about which he is rather paranoid. He is also terrified of bees and other stinging insects for similar reasons, and absolutely hates anything that creeps and crawls and wriggles and eeeuugh...
Virtues:
Redstone is chivalrous whenever he's not pulling a con, and tends to go out of his way to make other people happy- as long as it's a reasonable expense.
Vices:
Redstone is, in fact, greedy and self-seeking, despite the fact that he goes about this by chivalry and pleasing others. His con artistry is one example of this, and his constant seeking of pleasure in company is another.

History:
Redstone's parents were part of a traveling caravan, in which Duncan was involved since birth, due to his prodigous ability to repeat "Pack my box with five dozen liquor jugs" repeatedly and clearly since eight months. However, at age ten, Redstone was separated from his family and friends after getting into the wrong caravan in the castle town. After searching far and wide for ages upon ages (meaning, within the camp for a few days, him being ten) for someone willing to help him find his family, he finally gave up and began traveling with the caravan he was stuck with.
After a few years of traveling and picking up skills, he was finally reunited with his family, who was less than tearful at his return. The caravan had fallen apart, his father had descended into alcoholism, and his mother no longer had the money to raise a child. Redstone was torn, but ultimately left his small savings with his mother and left town with the caravan, intent on building his own life.
