Kenneth (No Last name, because last names are for sissies and women)

Name: Kenneth. And that's it, to be quite honest. Last names are for pansies anyway. People with last names are just compensating for the lack of awesomeness contained in their first name.

Age: 20, though he claims to be 19 for the ladies.

Race: Hylian

Sex: Male

Hair: Straight brown hair that sticks out under his signature purple bandanna that he is almost never seen without and falls down a little past his ears.

Eyes: A striking, tantalizing green.

Weight: 162 lbs.

Height: 5'9"

Weapon: His father's old longsword, strangely named Gangrene. Kenneth's father used to tell him tall tales of how it has powerful magic enchantments on it, but it's really just sharpened steel with a purple enamel. Nonetheless, Kenneth still believes and it looks daunting enough that people just believe him anyway. It's handguard is specially made to to accommodate his wide variety of defensive sword techniques, making the sword ideal for counters and parries.

His only other weapon is a regular old hookshot, and not a clawshot, because those are only usable on grates, which means they're pretty useless in just about any situation. That is, unless you're fighting the Grate Monster from Darkest Ordona. But of course, neither of those exist. He had it hand crafted himself after he realized that he might be in need of a ranged weapon.

Armor: Kenneth wears a chainmail cuirass and greaves that aren't particularly shiny. I mean, they don't quite glister in the sun. It has more of a metallic look to it. Not polished, but nowhere near rusty. As with most chainmail, this armor protects him from slashing weapons like longswords, broadswords, and axes, but is particularly weak to piercing weapons like daggers, short swords, spears and arrows.

Strengths: He is quite skilled in the area of defensive sword techniques, being adept in multiple parries and counters. His fighting style is relatable to fencing in this respect. He also has particularly high stamina and endurance, due to having his ass handed to him on multiple occasions by the many people he threatens on a daily basis. He knows how to take hits, and can subsequently take a lot of 'em. He also prides himself on being able to evade a large portion of most attacks, not to mention being a very acrobatic and nimble fighter.

When he decided to reprise his father's role as Ranger, he began an intensive training program based on the only person he ever saw fight in his village; his father. Thus, his evasion, spastic movements, and defensive fighting style are based upon the refined movements of a drunk. During this training program, he also learned many powerful sword techniques to complement his fighting style, and then mastered a few sparse magic spells to improve his own abilities, and, in the case of Fyrus' fist, gain some true attack power.

Weakness: Of course, to balance this out, he is rather unskilled in the area of offensive sword techniques, knowing very few aside from basic slashes and thrusts. To top this off, his attacks are weaker than the average, placing him at a major disadvantage to heavily armored opponents. He's also not particularly good at ranged combat with his hookshot. He mainly uses it for its mobility purposes.

Because of his lack of strength, Kenneth will often compensate by stringing together long combos of his weaker attacks and then often finishing them with either Climhazzard or Fyrus' Fist. He will often give these combos ridiculous names, if only as a bluff to make his opponents believe he's much more skilled than he really is.

Skills/Magic:

Blade Flurry: Kenneth launches an assault of many quick, hard to block slashes. Usually used near the beginning of his combos to score more hits.

Climhazzard: One of Kenneth's few truly offensive techniques. He charges the enemy, first delivering a diagonal slash, and then leaping high into the air, running his sword upward and through the enemy in doing so. Along with Fyrus' Fist and, rarely, Braver, it's usually used as a finisher for one of his long, complex combos.

Last Legs: When Kenneth is on the verge of death, he receives a burst of speed, which can be used to either flee from the fight or end it quickly. After this newfound speed wears off, Kenneth will most likely fall unconscious or possibly even die depending on just how close he is to death.

Updraft: A powerful, fluid upward strike meant to send the opponent flying into the air. Often used to link attacks together during combos.

Fyrus's Fist- Fire: The other main offensive move in Kenneth's arsenal is Fyrus's fist, a powerful ballistic fireball released by either swinging his sword or simply breaking his hold on the spell. However, due to the ballistic nature and large stature of this spell, it has a massive amount of recoil, and will throw Kenneth back quite a ways, as well as damage him a bit, meaning he can't use it in quick succession without injuring himself considerably.

However, this strong recoil can be used to his advantage in a small way, as when Kenneth aims this fireball towards the ground, he can use it to "jump" by using the recoil to propel himself upwards, allowing him to reach heights otherwise unreachable. Often used as a finisher along with Climhazzard.

Blinding Light- Light: Kenneth will release a flash of light to distract and hinder his enemy. Can be combined with Flash Blitz to perform Reversal. Flows well with other attacks as well, using the flash of light to stun his enemy before using one of his stronger attacks.

Flash Blitz: Kenneth receives a quick burst of speed for a few precious moments. Can be combined with Blinding Light to form Reversal. Allows him to position himself for many of his long and intricate combos without giving his opponent time to recover or counter-attack.

Reversal: Kenneth's signature defensive technique, formed when combining Blinding Light and Flash Blitz. Kenneth releases a blinding flash of light, usually after countering an attack, and the reappears behind the enemy almost instantaneously. It may appear that he is using powerful teleportation magic, but he's actually just blinding them and receiving a quick burst of speed to reposition himself. He'll usually follow this up with a slash after he's behind the enemy, or perhaps a stab.

Braver: Kenneth's end all be all of finishers, and the most commonly used to finally kill his opponent. Kenneth jumps high into the air (or not, if he's already in the air) and brings his blade down upon the enemy full force. It puts an amazingly high amount of strain on Kenneth's body to perform such an attack, which is why he rarely uses it in the midst of a battle.

Appearance: Under his armor he wears a dark purple leather tunic and black leather chaps. He wears a purple bandanna on his head and drapes a scarlet cloak over all of this. His sheathe for his sword is located on his back and secured by a strap, which also holds up a small pack containing his equipment. He has regular brown leather boots and gauntlets. In his pack are 2 empty bottles and one that is filled with red potion, a few spare chains in case his hookshot gets damaged, some rope, and a basic mess kit. A small knife is in here as well.

Personality: Kenneth is, to be quite frank, a narcissistic amateur. He is quite arrogant and critical of others, often placing himself above them and criticizing them at the slightest mistake. The only problem with this is that in most cases, he doesn't have the skill to back it up. Mind you, I say most cases as he is the utmost authority as far as defensive sword techniques go.

He's actually quite polite and kind to women, often seeking their company, but as far as other members of the same sex go, they're poop slinging monkeys to him. Dirt, trash, and everything bad about everything.

Biography: Born to a loving mother and father inside the walls of a quaint little village. Or at least, that's how he'd like to say it went. Shortly after Kenneth was born, his mother left his father because he was a raging alcoholic and quite possibly the worst husband you could ever ask for. She spends her time boozing around the wild, and is planning to elope with some eccentric merchant named Sterrence the Large. And that nickname isn't just for show, wink wink. As for the father, he was a self proclaimed guardian of the village, as it was bordered by a forest that contained a tribe of bokoblins numbering about four. Of course, Kenneth's father always exaggerated the dangers of the outside forest to give his job some sort of small purpose. Or, at least, that's what he told Kenneth. Usually he just went around, plastered out of his mind and threatening the passerby with a blade he could barely hold straight due to his inebriated state. This is what gave Kenneth his skewed idea of what a guardian actually does.

Eventually, Kenneth's father threatened the wrong guy at the wrong time. An angry warlock on his way through town, late for a ritual. This particular chastisation gave him a one way ticket to "Eyeballs fried right out of your sockets by a heat conducting wand" town. Population: Kenneth's dad. Kenneth was enraged by this event, and vowed to avenge his father's death and reprise his role as a guardian of the village. This certain mage goes by the name Hartul, and is quite the powerful wizard indeed. Kenneth took up his father's not-so-legendary sword and mourned his death the way he knew his old man would want him to; getting blind drunk.

Unfortunately, Kenneth got so plastered while mourning his father's death that he forgot about the entire thing, and upon finding and asking his mother, she replied "He probably died of alcohol poisoning in a gutter somewhere," which Kenneth took as a reasonable enough answer, though he was still a bit sad. However, with no one left to fill his father's position, Kenneth (once again) vowed to take up his father's position as a guardian.

Lately Kenneth has been having twisted nightmares that entail him doing battle with a rather large spider. They always end with Kenneth's death and him waking up in a cold sweat.

Re: Kenneth (No Last name, because lasts names are for pansies and bleeders)

Sorry it has taken so long to get to your character, things have been a little hectic lately. I like what you've begun here, so let's get started.

Sure, if you say so. Though, I suppose it could be a joke or just really being in-character for the profile. Or both, I guess. (Sorry if that ruins the joke )

Oh, look at that. It's a Big Fancy Sword. However, I would like you to assume that people cannot see the picture you posted on here, and describe it for them. Thank you.

Believe it or not, not everyone who plays in the EH is familiar with your terminology.

That fanfic is secret and I will ask you not go peeking where your eyes do not belong again, sir! (Obviously, I'm joking).

A chainmail "cuirass" is called a hauberk or a byrnie. Just thought you'd like to know.

I believe that the word you're looking for in the first Strengths paragraph is consequently. It confused me at first, but I'm not actually here to pick at knits.

Seeing as this character has no really extraordinary strengths, the weaknesses seem to counterbalance them just fine. Good job, there.

Am I being told that he calls out his attacks, really? Like in anime? Hey, if you want to do that, that's cool. It's also funny.

Ignoring the obvious FF7 references and possibly some DMC references, this looks good. Just be careful with them. I just want to know a few things.

How fast does Last Legs make him?
Throwing people into the air with your sword is difficult, and you did say he has a lack of strength. Are you sure he's this strong?
How powerful is Fyrus' Fist? As in, what can it break?
How fast does Flash Blitz make him?

This is mostly fine, but what does the potion do?

His personality seems very short to me. Go check out Altamira's characters; her personalities are very well done. Then, try to expand Kenneth's into at least two full paragraphs.
