The Crystal of Darkness

OoC: Okay then, this is my first character fiction on my own. So here it is, feel free to post and do whatever with it. Oh and the character is Crogon. This story is set about a year before Crogon goes to the Dome.

BiC: I have been traveling across the desert for weeks now, my journey to the jungle and to the Temple of Darkness has taken me a year so far. I started out with a band of explorers I had asked to come with me. Now I was the only one left alive. The others had succumbed to the heat and poisonous snakes in the desert, but my resistance to heat and nearly impenetrable skin had kept me safe. I could only hope that the treasure in the temple, the Crystal of Darkness, would be as powerful as I had heard.

Several months before I embarked on my trip I spotted an old book in a village street market and purchased it to give me something to read during my travels. But inside was a legend so incredible that I knew I had to go to the place they spoke of and see the magical treasure the book spoke of. The Crystal of Darkness has been said to give the person who touches it amazing mental power. After it is touched the crystal shatters and can only be used when put back together. The book came with a map that points to the latest resting place fo the crystal. I have had to walk through the desert instead of rolling because the land is too bumpy for me to roll at high speeds.

After a few more days of travel the desert gave way to a flat stretch of land, and beyond that was the jungle. I began to roll towards the jungle as fast as I could. Within a few hours I had reached the jungle and once again began on foot towards the temple. I had to use my sword to cut through the thick vines in order to make my way into the jungle. Eventually I cam across a stone city. In the center of the city stood the Temple of Darkness.

I walked over to the temple and stood at the first step leading to the entrance. The temple looked like a puzzle, each piece of stone perfectly fit into the stones next to it and to none of the others. Bits of paint were scattered around the temple showing that the temple had once been vibrant and colorful. I began to climb the stairs knowing that I was incredibly close to the crystal. I soon stood at the entrance to the temple, looking into the darkness beyond. I picked up a torch form the floor and lit it with a bomb plant seed. I took my first step into the darkness.

There were spike traps and poisonous gasses at every room in the temple. But they were no match for me, my skin can't be pierced by spikes and I only need air to speak, which I have not been doing lately since my companions died. Finally I reached the room where the crystal was held. It floated a nine feet about the ground and was surrounded by a magical aura. I reached my hand out to touch the crystal. I could feel the magical heat of the aura on my hand. I could feel my power growing and became aware of a new presense inside of my mind, and evil presense. I fought with my mind against the force and managed to drive it out of my mind. Unfortunatly, the struggle sapped me of all my strength and I collapsed onto the floor.

I woke up in Crogon City Hostpital. I later found out that I was found by native peoples and taken to Crogon City via teleporation. The Crystal of Darkness gave me the ability to meld minds with intellegent lifeforms and the ability to grow spikes out of my body on mental command. I had walked out of this dangerous adventure victorious, I had looked into the face of death and defeated it.

I screamed at the people as they carried Crogon away, but they couldn't hear me. After Crogon touched the crystal I should have taken over his body! But he was more powerful than I thought. Now I would have to find a new host body, and destroy Crogon for not letting me use him. I have decided to name myself, Nogorc. I am Nogorc, and I will not rest until I have drunk the blood of Crogon.

OoC: Okay then that is kind of the opening for Anti-Crogon. I dont know if I am allowed to do this, someone tell me if it is okay. I figured it would be since it is just Crogon's evil side and I wanted Crogon to have an enemy without going through the hassle of actually making a character. However if it is okay to do so than I will be doing a series of chapters about the Anti-Crogon, Nogorc. So someone tell me if it is okay to do this. Oh and the thread Anti-Crogon should be deleted so if anyone has that ablilty please do so.

Chapter One

OoC: I have not gotten a repsonse to if I am allowed to do this but I am bored so am posting chapter one! This chapter is set about a month after the first post. This chapter is all about Nogorc. Here is a hint, Crogon=regular Nogorc=italic

BiC: It has taken me weeks but I finally found a host body. I was flying around a cemetary when I spotted a funeral in progress. I possesed the body of the recently deceased young man that the funeral service was for. Upon my entering of his body, my aura combined with his human DNA giving me all the powers of a ghost and a human. After my new body was buried I used my powers to pass through the dirt on top of me and flew away from the cemetary. I was one step closer to my revenge on Crogon.

My plan was complicated, but possible. I had to regain all of the pieces of the Crystal of Darkness, then I had to somehow lure Crogon to me and kill him. Then I would use the Crystal's power to fuse myself with him, and destroy his soul. Then I will have my revenge. I flew over to the nearest village. My new body came with a strange hunger. A hunger....for souls!

I landed on the roof of the village hospital and passed through the roof to the operating room. Inside were several surgeons working on an old man. I turned invisable and reached into the man with my mind. I searched for his soul and found it, I began to pull the soul out of his body and into me. The man died as his soul passed from him to me and my strength increased and hunger dissapated. I left the hospital and walked into the forest. I was about to start flying when I felt something. One of the shards was close.

I began to search for the shard and eventually came across a mound of dirt. I dug into it with my new hands and found the shard in the dirt. I picked it up and felt its aura. It possesed power, not great power but power enough to help me. I shoved the shard into my arm and combined its power with mine. As long as I have the shard I may as well use its power.

The power from the shard gave my body increased strength and agility. Legend says that the crystal will split into exactly fifteen pieces after it shatters. There were only fourteen pieces left now. Since I was part of the crystal at one point I have the ability to sense where the shards are. With each shard I insert into my body I gain more power. After I get the rest of the shards I will be more than powerful enough to destro Crogon's soul. It is just a matter of time.

OoC: So there it is! Next chapter coming up tomorrow night....probably.
