Reclaiming the throne: a novel of Exin Denama

Chapter one: a warrior foretold

Exin Denama, Heir to the throne of the continet of Denshan, flew above the skies of his neighboring kingdoms. On day's like this, it was good to be alive.
His pegasus, Tensai, was flying the two across the continet, to try to make Exin feel better about the invasion.

Three years ago, a neighboring continet, known as Tenshan, invaded Denshan and seized the throne. Exin barely escaped, but it came with a price. He was forced to leave his father and his girlfriend. Exin still has been unable to get it out of his mind.

Exin reached for his fire staff, and started to draw fire art in the sky. It looked like rain, so They were flying before it did start.

Tensai landed on the ground next to the house where Exin was satying, and Exin dismounted. He bid farewell to Tensai and entered the house.

Exin's maid, a kind hearted servant, brought his lunch and stared at Exin, "What's wrong?"

"Nothing Ismarie, just thinking." Exin said as he grimly ate his food. It was his favorit, Smoked ham with pizza.

Realizing the non excitment, Ismaries worrys were confirmed. "Allright, Exin, fess up! What's bothering you?"

"Ismarie...why did Tenshan have to invade? They were our allies...I miss my father."

Ismare frowned, "I'm...not sure. It is surprising...Exin, what can I say to confort you?"

Exin suddenly brigtned, "That's it! Ismarie, do you still have that list of the locations of the generals?"

Ismarie pulled out a small list and handed it to Exin.


"Great1 Tommorow, I'm gonna revive the imperal army, and reclaim the throne!" He said as he headed of to bed, impatient.

The folowing day, Exin got up early and ate breakfast, not much, just enough to get him through the morning. He fed tensai and saddled her. Without a hitch, they took off to the nearest general...witch happen to in Exin's very town.

General Marina was Exin's magic instructor, a bright haired brunette with amazing skills in the magical arts. How his father found her, he'll never know.

He knocked on the door of a gaint mansion. a servant opened the door, "Yes, what do you want, you little street urchin?" He said angerly .

"I came to see Marina." Exin replied.
"I'm sorry, she's not seeing anyone, espacally not little kids!" THe servant said with a growl.

That started to flare Exin's anger, "It's extremly important, I need to ask-" Exin said as he was cut off.

The servant laughed, "Important? You probaly don't know what that means! Can you even read yet?" He said.

That properly did it. Exin unleashed his fire staff and sent a burst of lava at the servant, then using his earth staff to restrain him. He unseathed his dagger, " Marina, location, NOW!" He yelled, pointing the dagger at his throat.

"...three floors up, second door to the left." The servant said with a growl.

Without saying a word, Exin walked up a earby set of stairs, not even bothering to relase the man.

Chapter two: Marina

Exin walked up a total of three sets of stirs and down a corridor before arriving at Marina's room. He knocked on the door.
"Who is it?" A female voice called from inside the door.
"Exin Denama, General."
The door opened faster then Exin could imangine. "My prince..." She stopped and looked across the hallway, "Come in, quickly."

Exin walked through the door and sat on a large, comfty looking couch. Marina sat on a nearby chair. "My prince...have you been okay? where have you been?" She asked eagerly.
"Not far from here. In fact, I live not four blocks away from here. " Exin replied.
"...oh...I can't belive you've been that close... tell me though, how'd you get past the servant?" SHe asked.

"...er...I used my magic to restrain him and threatned him to tell me where you were." Exin said.
THat made her laugh, "Serves him right, it does. So you've been keeping up with your magic studies? I'm glad."

" Allright, I didn't come here just to talk. I'm here to relist you in the imperal army." Exin said.

THis seemed to surprised her, "We don't have an Imperal army...unless, you mean...?"
"Yep..I'm gonna reclaim my father's throne. I can't do it alone though." Exin said.
"...without question, my prince, I will join you. This I swear." Marina said as she knelt.
Exin drew marina's battle saber from he sholder hold and tapped her shoulders. "Rise, General Marina, and help lead me to salvation."

Marina said she'd meet him at Exin's house once she was prepared. Exin allowed this.
