The Ages Through the Eyes of an Elf

I apologize for the bad title. This Character Fiction is about Amira, my second BA character, see sig for details.

This may not be good, but oh well; I was bored. I hope someone enjoys it! I will add to this later....

Oh, and keep in mind, the horse named Epiphany does not talk verbally, she talks to Amira through her mind.

Chapter I

The faint fragrence of spruce and evergreen drifted through the wood. An elfin women, seeming to be in her late teens clothed in a long gown colored of the deepest green on a brilliant white horse slowly traveled east and into a clearing near a spring.

This female elf carefully serveyed the surrounding area and directed her mare to an enormous oak and slipped onto the soft forest floor. With a swift movement, she detached a bed roll and a large sack from the saddle and laid them on a nearby flat granite rock. She then revealed a rope made of woven threads of silver silk out of the sack and tied the horse to the ancient oak. After which, she used an unseen force to remove the rest of the contents from the bag, including a thin tarp-like suade covering, two thick leather-bound novels, a brush with a handle made of beautiful opal, a bow and quiver which she used the same force to lift into her hand, six canisters (one containing an odd-smelling oil), and a quill (used for writing).

After a few moments, the beautful elfin teen crossed to the nearby spring and splashed her face with the clear water within it. Taking in a long breath, she used the same force as before to craft several arrows and crystal arrowheads which she created out of thin-air. After which, she placed the newly-made arrows into the quiver and drifted to a hidden pathway to her right. Glancing over her shoulder, she focused on an elk feeding on a bush. Removing an arrow from the delicate quiver, she aimed the bow and arrow towards the beast.

I'm so sorry...

The elf readied herself to kill the animal. She released the arrow. It cut through the air at an amazing speed and pierced the side of the elk, puncturing the heart and killing it instantly, painlessly. Apparently, this strange crystal made the arrow fly faster, causing little to no pain.

After using her telekinetic powers to lift the elk's carcass into the air and near the spring, she gathered sticks aswell as logs and laid them into a neat pile in the middle of the clearing. After which, she went back to the granite boulder and slipped the canteen of oil and one of the novels into her hands. She then closed her eyes and focused. After mere seconds, the canteen in her outstretched hands was uncorked and a fraction of the oil within it was over the logs; the same logs that would be aflame another minute later.

What are you doing, Master?! You know what fire does to you!

Ignoring her mare's warning, she then opened the novel and thumbed through the ancient pages. After about three hundred pages, she stopped and focused on the odd print. Moments later, the novel was closed and in the sack while the elf was murmurring in an intricate language. The flames that danced about on the logs changed colors many times, finally stopping on a cerulian shade of blue. The flames would no longer harm the magic within the elf's veins.

Amira, where did you learn that spell? The horse paid close attention to her master untill she glanced into her eyes.

I obtained "The Book of Atlantis" when we were still in Felavore. Apparently, there is a way to control the terrible flames. Pride now played across the elf, Amira's, face.

I though that "The Book of Atlantis" was just a myth.. How every did you find such a thing?

King Tyrium and Queen Genevieve seem to know quite a bit about the "Lost World".

I wonder how they would obtain such knowledge. The mare seemed to be concentrating on what she had said to her master.

So do I, Epiphany, so do I.

Atlantis was a world that was known for its ability to control the components in water. Because of this art, the Atlantians, the people that lived in Atlantis and bore similarities with the elves, such as pointed ears, knowledge, etc., could control the shape and density of the liquid. Many hundreds of years after Atlantis first appeared in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, they just... dissapeared. One of the theories that have accumulated about their dissapearance is that the gods that they worshiped were somehow infuriated by their actions and, as a way to punish them, they engulfed the enormous continent of Atlantis with tidal waves of water, instantly pushing the land back into the great ocean inwhich it once flourished. Others include that the Atlantians forsaw some terrible global event and somehow teleported to the land of what is now Aphinia, land of the elves. Some people believe that after they became land-dwellers, they developed "The Book of Atlantis" and evolved into what we call "elves".

Amira cut the elk into strips and stuck the on a stick. She then set it over the fire to cook. After about a half of an hour of cooking, Amira removed the meat from the stick and ate. The meat that she cooked but didn't eat she placed a spell on to keep fresh and placed them in a special sack that she form out of water from the nearby spring.

It was getting late and Epiphany was yet to eat. Amira set off into the wood to collect oats and such. An hour later, she was back with a sack full. Amira then took a fallen trunk off the forest floor and, through another unseen force, formed it into a trough for Epiphany. Taking the sack of oats, Amira filled it with food at set it infront of her mare.

It's about time.. With a playful tone in her voice, the mare told her master of her appreciation.

Rolling her eyes, Amira removed the bedroll from the rock and set it near the magically-altered fire. She laid her head down, and, in a matter of moments, was a sleep. Her dreamworld was plagued with bad memories, as usual. And, in the middle of the night, was awoken by some powerful beast screaming at the top of its lungs. What Amira would see next would haunt her forever...
....

Note From Tofu: What is in bold means that it is explaining something, such as "The Book of Atlantis". None of the characters are saying any of what is in the bold, it's more like the narrator is explaining the bold's contents, not the characters.

Anyone may post their thoughts about my writing before I am finished. I don't mind. Although, if whatever you want to say is shorter than two sentences, save it for PM, please. Oh, and try to use coherent spelling, I don't have to decipher what you are trying to say.

Pronunciation Guide: Amira – Ameera, Epiphany- Epifany, Tyrium – Tearium, Genevieve – Jeniveeve, Aphinia – Afinia, Bea’ Armoire – Bay Armua (think.. French accent), Felavore - Felavor
