The Adventure of Yuna and Monoko

Before I begin the first chapter, I would like to say that this is about my 2 RPG characters, Yuna and Monoko. It is mostly about the background of their friendship (and budding romance ) If anyone reads this, you can post comments in between chapters.

Chapter 1

He was running, running from the burning kingdom he knew. Clothed in a cape and robe-like garb, armed with two swords, he listened to what his mother told him as she was kidnapped by an enemy knight, and left to find help. The sky was dark, streaks of grey from smoke. Stars of the zodiac signs spread throughout the skies, and the sun was nowhere in sight. In the background as he ran, he can hear faint sounds of the screaming citizens and the yells from the attacking knights.

Monoko was outside of the kingdom, looked around about the herizon, and said "where am I supposed to go?" He saw nothing, so he kept running. Suddenly, another enemy knight was on horseback, looking at Monoko, and said "where are you going?" Monoko just looked at the knight, trying to think about what to do. The knight didn't know who Monoko was, due to his clothes and the part of it covering his face except the eyes. "Answer me! Or you shall burn!", the knight demanded. Monoko drew his swords, but the knight just laughed.

Suddenly, a peice of debris hit Monoko and knocked him out. His body laid there motionless, and the knight used his big, muscular arms to throw Monoko. "That'll teach ya'!", the knight scoffed as he threw Monoko's body due to his light frame. The kingdom continued to be in turmoil, and no-one was there to stop it.

The sky was light, the sun was as bright as a glass of orange juice, and there was no cloud in sight. Yuna, a Yunish heroine, and her guardian dragon, Talius, were flying through the air to look for a near-by village. "For Pete's sake Talius, go faster!" Yuna said as the wind went through her brown, orange-streaked hair. Talius got annoyed by Yuna's demands, and said "you have to go to the bathroom again, don't you? I told you to not drink all the Slush-huppies at the continental breakfast!" Yuna laughed, looked down at the ground, and saw a lifeless body there.

Yuna gasped at the sight of the body. "Talius, I see a body! We must land, hurry!" Talius landed, Yuna got off Talius, and ran to the body. She saw that it was a guy around her age dressed in white clothing, red hair, and freckles spread around his face. Yuna stared at the face, and whispered "wow...he's so cute...and handsome to boot!" Talius rolled his eyes at that comment, sniffed Monoko, and said "he's alive, but gravily injured.". He saw the gash on Monoko's head, and blood on his cap. Yuna turned to Talius, and said "we must keep him with us, at least until he's back on his feet". Talius agreed, so she picked him up over her shoulder and carried him to the near-by river, and set up camp.
