Chronicles of Krayt: The Fate of Sytonia

Info: This is a story about my BA character Krayt, and his journey to find out what happened to his homeworl, why it happened, and if it possibly survived. Battles that I have/will be in will be featured in it, the chapters explain how he got to the battles, what happened in them, and what happened afterwards. Rather you read Krayts tale or not, is entirely up to you.....Feel free to rate me! (Please do it in a PM!!)

Prologue: The sounds of screams filled the air, and panic spread amongst the once peaceful town of Refuge village. The air soon became humid and unbreathable by the weak, bodies dropped gasping and trying to breathe for air, while others merely stood there, knowing doom was inevitable....

Krayt looked at the metallic gauntlets his friend had given him, then up at the sky as the sun began to increase drastically. Knowing if he didnt act quickly he would surely die, Krayt donned the gauntlets, and pressed the crimson red button....

The room spinned and turned into a sky blue vortex, and suddenly Krayt felt himself running.....Running from it all, his home, his life....it was gone. As Krayt was running a bright light started chasing him. Krayt ran faster and faster trying to outrun the light, but it still kept gaining on him....Suddenly the light engulfed Krayt, knowcking him unconscience...

Krayt dreamed....dreamed he was on the planet as it exploded. All he could see was a figure. A figure floating there in the sky, laughing at them all. laughing at the doom he had caused. The figure was then engulfed by the suns explosion, as was Krayt and the rest of the planet. All Krayt could see was bright white light, and all he could here was he figures maniacal laughing.....

Krayts eyes then shot open. He looked around and noticed he was surrounded by green and many bright colors. Where he was at, he did not know.....

Chapter 1:
Close Call

1 year later....

Krayt walked the streets of Kolomar. The city was large, and surrounded by walls, yet Krayt still felt unsafe. It had only been a year since he arrived, but he already faced beings far stronger then Sytonians. Creatures that were like giant lizards with wings, and giant humans with clubs made from tree trunks. Even normal humans who could control the elements!

Wizards, trolls, dragons, ogres, griffins, knights, even aliens were some of the creatures Krayt had encountered. The town stared at Krayts odd outfit. Most of them wore torn up raggings, while others wore bright shiny armor, yet Krayt wore black spandex. Children giggled and adults whispered amongst themselves as Krayt walked by, showing off the odd outfit.

The guards of the town eyed Krayt closely. Since he was a foreigner obviously, there is no telling what he could be capable of! Krayt then got tired of all the eyes glaring at him, and all the gossip going on. Before anyone could say anything else he suddenly turned into a blur and dashed down the street, to the gates, and out of the town.

"Man we really gettin sum strlange characters round here eh?" One of the gaurds said to his friend....

Ugh, Im really gettin sick of all this attention around here! I gotta do somethin to blend in! Krayt thought to himself as he dashed down the dirt road.

As he reached a clearing in the woods he noticed something odd, on the other side of a canyon was something on fire! Without hesitating, Krayt leapt into the air, over and the canyon, and landed right beside the burning cabin. As he neared the flamed building, he noticed several thugs standing around it with a man clothed in a black robe in the center.

"You'll be happy to know he's trapped upstairs and the flames have almost reached him, Boss" One of the big guys said to the robed man.

"Good, this fool knew too much for his own good anyway...and it would seem we have company" The robed man said, motioning towards Krayt.

"You better come out of there now boy, because theres no place to run and no place to hide" The grunt said.

Krayt stepped out from behind the rock and into the open....

The robed man glared at Krayt, showing a sign of aggravation. Upon closer inspection Krayt noticed the man had what appeared to be a flame symbol on the back and front of his robe. His henchmen also bore the same symbol on the chest of their chirts.

"Wha ha ha ha ha, this is it, some stupid kid who clearly loves night time, this is our little stalker!? Ha ha ha ha!" One of the thugs howled.

"Isnt it almost your naptime boy? If it is we'll be happy to help you get to sleep, might have some trouble gettin up though, hehehehe" Another of the thugs said as he cracked his knuckles.

Krayt merely chuckled at their threats. Before anyone could do anything, Krayt dashed towards one of the thugs, picked him up and threw him clear off of the cliff into the valley below.

The other thug slammed his spiked wooden club against Krayts back, breaking the club in two, and knocking Krayt to the ground. Krayt quickly stood up, grabbed the goons foot, and threw him into the burning building, causing part of it to cave in.

"HEEEEELP, HEEEEELP!!! IM TRAPPED IN HERE!!" A voice rang out. Krayt paid no attention to the other two thugs and the robbed man as he ran into the flaming structure.

The heat wasnt too bad, but the smoke forbid him from seeing anything. Through all the crackling Krayt could make out screaming noises coming from above, Knowing he couldnt find the steps, he did the next best thing. He leapt up through the ceiling and into the next floor, causing yet another part of the house to cave in.

He then turned and was able to make out a figure tied to a support beam, about to be burned by the impending fire. As Krayt approached the figure he heard the ceiling was begging to crack, and would fall in at any minute.... with only seconds to spare, Krayt ran forward, ripped the support beam off, Broke through the second story wall and landed outside, just as the whole house caved in...

Before he could stand up a large stream of fire shot past him, turning his attention to the robed man and his goons. The robed mans fists were on fire, and the other two goons clubs were flaming as well. Krayt smirked at them, and decided to play along with their little cherade.

The first goon rushed towards Krayt, Whom grabbed his arm, broke it in at least 7 places, and threw him into the fire of the once burning house. The other goon however, got scared, dropped his club and ran for his life. But the robed man didnt budge.

Krayt glared at the man whom glared back. The two stared at each other for at least half a minute, until the man broke the cease. He began to shoot balls of fire like a machine gun at Krayt. Completely covering him and apparently charring him to death.

When the smoke cleared Krayt stood there. Black ash covered his face, yet he remained unharmed. Before the robed man could attack again, Krayt turned into a blur and vanished. The robed man looked around frantically, until he felt two hands grab his shoulder. The robed man knew this was it for him, the last thing he ever saw was the sight of the deep canyon drawing closer and closer...

Krayt then turned his attention to the man tied to the beam. He was unconscience, but still alive. Krayt untied him and sat there, waiting for the man to wake up from his sleep, hoping he could explain what had just happened....

Chapter 2
The Elements Wrath

Krayt waited for what seemed like hours, but the man finally began to regain conscienceness. He stirred and rubbed his eyes, clearly the smoke had gotten to him. As he tried to stand he noticed Krayt was looking at him.

"Who...who are you? Where am I? What happened?" The man asked frantically, trying not to cough from the smoke inhalation.

"My name is Krayt Skyrunner, Where you are at is beyond me, Im just a traveler, as for what happened..." Krayt then explained about how he had saved him from the building, and how he had beaten up the thugs that had threatened his life. The man then started to remember it all, He then explained to Krayt what the situation was...

Im grateful you saved me, really I am....but I fear that saving me was a mistake on your part and will be dangerous for me. For you see, you have just killed The Fire Master of the Element Gang. The Element Gang is a notorious crime syndicate that rules over this side of the land. They rule over all of Kalador, and tax every citizen for almost every penny they make. However leaving is near impossible when you become a citizen, thats the mistake I made...sort of. I couldnt pay no more, so I attempted to flee. I owed a huge debt of 2000 Karrats, I knew I would never be able to aqquire such a huge sum in a short time, so I attempted to run. I stopped here at this cabin to rest for the night, but when I woke up i discovered they had found me...I thought for sure that that was the end of me, The last thing I ever saw was the fire closing in on me....

Krayt listened to the tale, and the sound of it steamed the inside of him. Just because they are more powerful then others they think they can steal from them?! The man looked into Krayts eyes and could tell that beyond the jade green, fire was burning like a torch.

"Where is Kalador at? And when I get there, where are these "Elementals" Hiding?" Krayt asked in a vengeful tone.

"Ooh Kaladors about a one day walk from here, Just head up that path and when you get there, They'll be in the huge castle at the end of the town, you cant miss it!" The man stated.

"Oh and be care....." The man stopped and looked around. Krayt had apparently disappeared.

Hmm, I gotta get me one of them suits, The man thought to himself...

Krayt rushed down the winding trail. The trees blew to the side from his incredible speed, and bugs whom were unfortunate to be caught in his path, were turned to nothing but a splat of goo.

This "Element Gang" is mine, Ive discovered there are four elements here on earth: Fire, Water, Wind, and Earth. The only ones I should watch out for should be water, wind and earth shouldnt be to much of a problem. Krayt thought to himself as he rounded another corner of the road. Just as he ran up a steep path, he noticed a sign:

Kalador straight ahead (Warning 30 Karrats to enter, and 50 Karrats to leave!)

Krayt smirked, and ripped through the sign like it was wet paper. He then saw it. The huge city of Kalador, It had a dark cloud over it, almost as if it was drawn by some energy. He then noticed huge steel gates blocking the enourmous concrete walls around the city.

Hmm....breaking through that might be a problem even for me, and if I did break through Id create to much of a disturbance. I only hope I can do this! Krayt thought as he charged up his jump. With one leap of faith he managed to grab onto a window seal and pull himself into the rotting city....
