Re: Which comic books are you following?
Wtf? Someone other than nolan or I made a thread about comics?
After a few months of buying a lot of single issues, I'm starting to lose interest in it. I just prefer reading trades for the most part, as it's cheaper and I find it way more convient. Once a lot of the miniseries I'm following conclude, I'll only be buying a couple issues a month and then sticking to primarily trades. Currently reading- Batman: Confidential (DC) Captain America: Reborn (Marvel) Justice League: Cry for Justice (DC) Star Wars: Invasion (Dark Horse) Thor (Marvel) The Batman Confidential arc that I'm reading ends in October, and I'm only reading it for the current story. I most likely won't read Thor anymore after Giant Size next month. Reborn ends in November, and Cry for Justice will end in January, if that damn story ever ramps up. In the future I'm planning only on buying oneshots, annuals and miniseries below 5 issues as far as single comics go, the rest I'll stick to trades for. The two exceptions being Star Wars Invasion and the new Flash series by Geoff Johns. |

Re: Which comic books are you following?
I picked up Superman: Secret Origin #1 the other day. It's pretty good, and has a good bit of emotion packed within the pages.

Re: Which comic books are you following?
Ultimate Spider-Man is a great series. It falters a little towards the end, but overall it is probably one of the most consistently good runs in recent memory.

Re: Which comic books are you following?
Johnny The Homicidal Maniac and I Feel Sick, from the weird Jhonen Vasquez
But right now I'm reading Haunt of Horror, a recopilation of Edgar Allan Poe and H. P. Lovecraft stories adapted to comic. The style of Richard Corben traps the nature of the stories very, VERY well.

I still need to finish reading the X-MEN Onslaught saga. I am also thinking of getting the Elfen Lied comics (Yes kids, I call manga comics.)

Re: Which comic books are you following?
Thank you. I'm really tired of people considering them two different things, it discourages attempts to merge eastern and western comic styles.

Re: Which comic books are you following?
I decided to drop the main Superman books (Superman, Supergirl, Action Comics, and World of New Krypton) for now; they're all locked up in their own crossover story, which would be fine, if it wasn't for the fact that there is virtually no plot development at all with each individual issue. I decided that I was tired of paying money each month for filler; I'll pick them up again when they start getting interesting again.

Re: Which comic books are you following?
From what I know, Adventure Comics is where it's at. Great stuff, apparently.

Re: Which comic books are you following?
Yeah, Adventure Comics is amazing; shame that the Conner story is soon going to be cut out of the book, however. Either way, it makes you wish Geoff Johns was given control over the rest of the Superman franchise.
