The Laughing Man

Now I know Aoi is the origional Laughing Man, although he never refers to himself as such, but does anyone have any ideas as to who first sent the e-mail to serano Genomics that Aoi found while surfing the net? Have a theory but I'm not sure. Do your remember the very end of the show when Serano goes to open his car door something happens but we never find out what actually happens to him and right before that a guy passes him walking in the other direction, I think that that was the same guy who killed Nanao because you never see who kills him. Maybe i'm wrong and the police killed Nanao so that they could close the chapter on the laughing man case and Nanao would go down in history as the Laughing Man. But if thats the case who was the guy at the end of the show?

Alright, so for those who have no idea what the OP is talking about, "The Laughing Man" is from the show Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, where he's the...persona of a master hacker.


Anyways, it seems pretty heavily implied that the e-mail wasn't by anyone important (and, indeed, might have spontaneously generated itself, if it wasn't just a random internal memo that happened to mention the shady business practises.) After all, a stand alone complex tends to be largely self-generating.
