My first Anime ever would be My Neighbor Totoro. But if you don't count movies, then the first anime series I saw was Pokemon (my best friend got me hooked onto it). And from there my cousin got me interested in Dragon Ball (later onto Z). But the first anime I chose to get hooked on was Tenchi Muyo, Yu Yu Hakusho, Stand Alone Complex on Cartoon Network. After awhile, I honestly didn't watch all that much anime until I joined an Anime Club in College. Since then that's when I started reading Manga (Hellsing, Trigun, Naruto, Death Note, Full Metal Alchemist, etc...) and I've currently (past year or so) watched various anime from Funimation like MushiShi, Negima, Fruits Basket, Ah! My Goddess, Air Gear, Case Closed, Darker than Black, Gunslinger Girl, Hell Girl, Jyu-Oh-Sei, Samurai Champloo, Shin Chan, Solty Rei, Witchblade, and xxxHolic.

My first anime was Sailor Moon, I believe.
But Pokémon got me more into anime. Then I began watching Case Closed and Chi's Sweet Home and Dragon Ball Z and Inuyasha and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Outlaw Star and Tenchi Muyo and Yu-Gi-Oh! and Yu Yu Hakusho and...

Wow... I have no idea, although I do remember that show Sailor Moon. I always watched it after school, still a good show. ^^

I forget what the first anime I watched is, but I would probably say that Sailor Moon got me into anime, and Cowboy Bebop got me into anime seriously. Cowboy Bebop made me realize the other side of anime that was more mature and adult, and something that wouldn't stay behind in my childhood.

the freaky not as popular from japan type of anime.
Dragon Ball Z and Pokemon, pretty generic I know. Fooly cooly was my first break into real anime.

I can't remember exactly which I saw first, DBZ or sailor moon. And shut up, I was a teenage male and sailor moon had non-descript nudity. Don't act like I was the only one.
