Best and Worst Cartoon and Comic Characters
Yes, this is a rip-off of the Best/Worst Video Game Characters. Like in that thread, we say who do we think are the best and worst characters ever.
BEST: ![]() Spider-Man is the very first human super-hero. He wasn't the whole big, bad tough badass hero, he was just a normal guy like you and I even with his powers. ![]() He paved the way for anti-heroes in comics, anime, cartoons, and manga. ![]() He just wanna see you smile ![]() ![]() He's a loveable douchebag who soul his daughter's soul to a demonic ***** and almost destoryed the world. Because Carnage Rules. ![]() Cooler than Joe Cool. Slick shootin' nigga.

Re: Best and Worst Cartoon and Comic Characters
![]() My definition of fun. ![]() Leads to second most psychotic and also has an awesome sense of humor ![]() He was actually the first Spider-villain I was introduced to, so I got attached to his sick image since. ![]() Sick voice, tragic path, and has verydifferent intentions than most "heroes" ![]() Possibly the most interesting villain in DBZ, Cell was one of the only ones who wasn't defeated by Goku, had no intention of world domination, and a different character within every transformation. All I can list for "Best". Can't think of many bad ones now. |

Best:
Ryoko Asakura ![]() I just love ****ed up mentally insane characters. They have no pleasure in just taking what they ain't theirs (unless it's a life), they just wanna **** everything up and destroy the world. (Is it consider creepy that I had a dream in which she and Carnage[Spider-Man fame] tied up Yuki and Venom and started stabbing them and chopping them up?) Worst: ![]() Just because you have superpowers doesn't make you a god, young one. (Fun fact - This is the only bad end pic of her I can post here. I have this one funny and beautiful fanart of Haruhi getitng her neck slice open and her head is about to get rip off but...)

BEST:
![]() this was possibly the best batman series ever, with "the batman" being a close second! ![]() I have never been so emotionally involved with an anime! Lelouch was possibly the deepest character I've ever watched in an anime too, and zero: pure badassery! ![]() freakin' funniest villain ever! the joker equals very yes. WORST: ![]() "stop it Robin just go wait in the batmobile." " Golly gee willekers Batman do I have to?" Burt Ward robin fails. ![]() ur freakin' kiddin' me right? last and definitely least Ash Ketchum and Pikachu |

Re: Best and Worst Cartoon and Comic Characters
BEST:
![]() One of my favorite X-men, Scarlet Witch can pretty much warp reality, which automatically makes her a demi-goddess. ![]() Both The Joker and Harly Quinn were villians that I grew up watching and they pretty much, made the best villan duo ever. ![]() Gambit is pretty much my favorite X-men ever. The dude can make anything into an explosive, fights with a staff and playing cards, is a theif, and a womanizer! ![]() Rouge can take any power she wishes. That's pretty much badass in my books! ![]() Take Jean Grey's telepathy, Cyclops optical blasts, and technopathy and you get Cable. All around badass from the future! ![]() Another awesome Batman villain that makes hell for Batman through his trickery and riddles. WORST: Oh wow, Angel, you can fly! So can Superman, but he also has super strength, super speed, super tough skin, and can melt ♥♥♥♥ with his eyes. Just being able to fly is a lame power. Though I will admit, when Apocalypse turns him into Archangel, he actually becomes somewhat cool! ![]() So yeah, this guy can "talk" to machines, just like Cable. The thing is though, he ain't doing anything awesome with this power like, disrupting the stock market, utilities, stock market, and defense system, you know ♥♥♥♥ that runs on computers! He has to use it for "good". I'm sorry, but if I was a technopath, I'd "talk" to the nuclear missile silos across the world if you get my drift. ![]() Batman is known for it's awesome villains like The Joker, Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, Two-Face, and The Riddler, but the Penguin is pretty much a joke.

Angel also has enhanced strength, speed, agility, endurance (etc etc) as well as enhanced vision and hearing. He also has developed a minor healing factor. Plus these days he can change to and from his Archangel form at will (kind of, sometimes not so much the 'at will' part). |

Best
![]() Rufio! Rufio! RufiOooo! The well-written character development aside, it was great to hear Dante Basco again. Everytime he spoke of regaining his honor and redemption, you could kind of tell that Basco was speaking from the heart. Azula was kickass villainess. Cold blooded, merciless, skilled and a woman who produced a lot of lulz. ![]() Dinobot died for our sins. ![]() Here is another mother of much lulz, albeit, rather than delivering cold blooded insults and jokes, she slings them with a monotone vocal pistol. ![]() Luffy looks like a crackfiend, a happy-go-lucky crackfiend. He's one of those high on life types, but with him, it's an eternal high. Among anime MC's, he's an enigma, completely lacking a woe-is-me attitude. ![]()

Best: The Starman of the current Justice Society is one of the craziest superheroes of current day. He's schizoprenic and tends to go on funny tangents, especially about sloppy joes. He actually lives in a mental hospital when not doing superhero business. Another crazy comic book character. He's actually aware that he's in a comic book, and he talks to his yellow captions. That right there just screams nuts. Wonder Woman was one of the first female superheroes to ever be created. All I will say is that Gail Simone's current work on the character is great, and that you should go buy Wonder Woman: The Circle right now. |

Re: Best and Worst Cartoon and Comic Characters
The Best
![]() Batman The reason so many people identify with him is that Batman has no truly supernatural powers. Any one of us could be Batman! Whatever the case, he has struck a chord with fans around the world. The Dark Knight is hugely popular with a multiple hit movies and many different comic titles to choose from. Also, he just looks bad ass. ![]() Cyclops Being the very first X-Man, a heavy burden was placed on his shoulders; He was chosen to lead a team of mutants on a crusade that would likely determine their place in the world. personal favorite of mine : P The Worst Superman ![]() I always thought the real problem with Superman is that he is invulnerable to everything except kryptonite or someone from his own planet, and the stories are not as engaging as they could be because you are not worried about Superman. You have to put the hero in danger to make a good story. So as a result, you always have to put kryptonite in the story to make Superman vulnerable. That is kind of a cheap device, isn't it? =/

I don't think that you have to have the hero in danger to make the story exciting. I always thought the way in which Superman stories are exciting is that you are fearing for the innocents who Superman is trying to save. Superman himself may be all powerful and indestructible, but the people he's trying to save certainly aren't; no matter how perfect Superman is, there are always lives at stake, and Superman might not be able to save them all. That's what keeps you rooting for Superman and hating the villains.
