The Simpsons: The New Episodes

I've heard people constantly complain about how the newer episodes of the Simpsons are bad or not as funny as the older ones. I've watched quite a few of the new episodes and really I don't see this at all. If anything they're better than the old ones. So, is there really a decline in quality of the new Simpsons episodes, and if so why?

The Simpsons are hilarious, but I think some people might not think it's as funny if they watch family guy.

The new ones really are as bad as people say. I used to watch the Simpsons all of the time about 6 or 7 years ago, but now they're just really, really lame. You should watch some of the older episodes (not the totally old ones like Series 1) and see how much better they are.
