Star Wars: Invasion - The Yuuzhan Vong War is finally going visual!

Star Wars fans, at last we have something to look forward to. Thanks to Dark Horse, this summer will begin their comic adaptation of the New Jedi Order novels from a few years ago, covering what is unquestionably the grandest event in SW Universe in the form of the Yuuzhan Vong War.

The first issue comes out July 1st, but until then we're being treated to two online-exclusive previews at starwars.com/invasion. For other info, check out these pages on Dark Horse's official site-

Jo Chen draws the best covers in comics, I swear. Those look awesome.

I read the first couple books in the saga or whatever you want to call it. The idea of reading it in comic form really appeals to me, so I may check this out for my first real foray into Star Wars comics (other than a few random issues from different series' I got gifted to me as a kid).

I know what you mean. But rather, this will probably be the first ongoing series I start buying single issues of instead of waiting for the trades.

Recently I found that my local Borders keeps a decent tab on weekly issues, so I think I'm going to begin getting one-shots and tie-ins to big events in single issues, especially with Blackest Night hitting this summer. Dark Horse also has a couple of mini series that I'm interested in, like The Rapture and the inevtiable third arc for The Umbrella Academy.

This kicks ass. The New Jedi Order series was always my favorite next to the Thrawn Trilogy.
