The Discussion of Haruhi Suzumiya

Well, that was quite the fake out. I thought they were going to end Endless Eight right there, seeing as how they covered just about everything from the story, but it was a nice surprise. I also liked how they played up the dread factor.

Man, I keep telling myself I need to catch this series but I haven't. I do like her character however.

What's wrong with 'moe crap'? That said, I don't think that I would categorize Haruhi as moe. It's not the life changing anime that it seems to have a reputation to be, but it's still good enough to watch a couple of times. Also, there IS a new opening song.

Well, I'm actually reading the manga right now. It's pretty cool. Just got past the part were Ryoko was about to stab ol' dude.

The manga is generally considered to be worse than either of the other two versions. :/

An anime and a light novel series. The light novels came first.

If you're enjoying the manga, then I think you'll also enjoy the anime.

Perhaps notably, from what I've seen, more people prefer the novels over the anime than the other way around (although I prefer the anime). The novels also currently covers more of the plot than either of the other two versions - approximately double the amount.

Yeah, I actually thought people meant "Graphic Novels". Not an actual book novel. Now I know!

But yeah, I got a link to the Light Novel so I guess i read that aftetr I get done with the X-MEN Onslaught series.
