Second is Case Closed, or whatever they call it. It's awsome how he gets that lazy detective to express all the evidence for him. I can't find it either! All the things I love get canceled!
I'm so mad it got cancelled. That show was awesome, and the reruns now show at 4:30 in the morning. Damn adult swim. They are still releasing the DVDs. I think it's a few episodes of season 1, and then all of season 4 and all of season 5, and they're still going. Yes, they did skip seasons 2 and 3.

There's going to be a FUNimation channel you know? So you would probably be able to watch Case Closed on there.

Re: Favourite Anime/Manga

I have so many manga! Me and my sis have been collecting for less than a year and we have... ~goes to count~ 21 different series and approx. 82 of the books. Woohoo! We have a few animes, too: Most of the studio ghilbi ones, Chrono cross, X 1999, and we're gonna get 'I my me! strawberry eggs' soon.
My fave manga are probably shonen, because I love all the action scenes! Get backers, Saiyuki, Samurai Deeper Kyo and Naruto are probably my favourite shonen. Oh, and Azumanga Daioh is the funniest series I've read so far. It cracks me up completley! Tell me if you agree!

Oh, ya, and how could I forget Case Closed? Its annoying how they changed the main chara's name to Jimmy when they translated it, though. I mean, what sort of a name is that for a japanese guy?!

Re: Favourite Anime/Manga

I'd have to go with Last Exile. A friend lent me the DVD set; I looked at it and saw that it revolved around planes and flying and what-not. At first, I didn't think it looked interesting, but when I watched it, it was amazing. I love character interactions, story, and the art style is unbelievable. I would definitely recommend it.

Re: Favourite Anime/Manga

I'd have to say that my favorite anime series at the moment is Inuyasha. I just love the story line and the character's backgrounds. I don't get to see it often, though. Others would be Full Metal Alchemist, Gundam Wing, Fruits Basket and Evangelion. I'm also a little interested in S-cry-ed (I've only watched two episodes).

As for manga, it's Tsubasa Resevoir Chronicle. Period. The way it started just got me hooked, and I'm sort of a sucker for bittersweet romance. Others are D.N. Angel, Immortal Rain, Fruits Basket, .hack//Legend of the Twilight, Kare Kano, Zeruda no Densetsu (Zelda manga <3) and Tales of Symphonia (the one that follows the storyline <3).

Re: Favourite Anime/Manga

My top 10 can be found here

I'll provide a very brief explanation as to why I like these anime more than any other.
WARNING: Some may contain spoilers, read at own risk.

Battle Angel:
Even though it wasn't a completely faithful adaptation of the manga I felt that it still captured what made the manga the greatest manga ever. Things like Alita's character and her relationship with Yugo along with the ending are just so magnificent that by the end I was nearly brough to tears.

Comedy:
Where to begin on this little jem. Sure it may only be 10 minuites long, but in that short time span, it manages to captivate you in its story and characters. The art work and the playing of Ave Mari during the anime are just an excellent combination.

Elfen Lied:
Many people cast this show off as just another mindless violence and nudity kinda show, but if you actually give it a chance and pay attention to its story you'll be amazed at how real it shows humanities fears of what it can't explain and even why the Diclonius have no remorse for killing humans.

Gunslinger Girl:
In most dramas you don't really start feeling deep sadness for characters til near the end of the show, but in the case of this anime you start feeling it right from the start. To make this worse this feeling is heightened about half way or so into the series when you figure out that the fate of all the girls is that they will die before they really have a chance to live and what makes the feeling worse is, is that you notice that the girls are ok with dieing so young.

His And Her Circumstances:
I honestly can say that I can't think of a single romantic anime that I've seen that portrays first loves as well as this one. Everything from the nervousness of the first kiss to jealousy to being away from a significant other for a long period of time are so well portrayed that you could easily think you were in their position. And despite what everyone seems to say the ending bothered me none.

Iriya no Sora, UFO no Natsu:
Sure a mixuture of Sci-Fi and romace may seem a little odd at first but when you get down to it, it does work out to be a good deal for this anime. Seeing the way Asaba reacts to everything that happens with Iriya is just so moving that you can't help but think of how you would also act in his situation. Add this to the fact that the show keeps you guessing as to the fate of Iriya and you'll be wanting more from this show.

Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam:
Now, when one thinks of Gundam you'll think of mostly big guns and even bigger explosions. While is is somewhat the same case with Zeta it has one thing that just about all other Gundams lack: emotion. Not many shows can have you say that you felt sadness for a villian in the show, but Zeta does manage to accomplish this with some of it's villians. So much about Zeta is just a masterpiece of emotions. everything from Camille's ill fated relationship with Four to Jerid watching the woman he love die right in front of him and not have the power to stop it and even the many characters that die at the end, all of it is just so full of emotions that this could make some forget that Gundam is more times than not an aciont oriented series.

Neon Genesis Evangelion:
I can say with all honesty that I haven't seen a single anime that delves into the human psyche as much as this show. Sure most people get put off by Shinji's emoness but all I have to say is, is that it does give him a deep character especially once you find out all the reasons why he acts the way he does.

Ninja Nonsense:
After reading my list thus far some may be wondering why this show is on my list and all I can say is, is that it is one damn hilarious show. Sure it may be juvinile humor, but who can honestly say that they like shows like Family Guy and critize this show? From Shinobu's gulibility to Onsokumaru perversness there are just too many funny things in this show to name them, you'd just have to see it for yourself.

The Place Promised In Our Early Days:
For being the first full length motion picutre from a guy whos longest work beforehand was a mere 25 minutes it is quite impressive how this turned out. I actually had to watch it twice before I coule properly review it as I was entranced by the art and music that I missed most of the story. Once I did manage to pay attention to the story it turned out to be truly fantastic. The way the the characters fight to make a promise from years ago come true is just very touching.

I'll possible add more to them later.

Inuyasha

I enjoy watching Inuyasha. It is an interesting storyline but I wish someone would capture Kagome or something so it's not always the same thing. My little sisters are completely obsessed and the littlest one is in love with Shoshomoru.
