Anime Vs. Manga

When I was in high school I had some friends that perferred anime to manga and some that preferred manga to anime. I was wondering what my fellow anime/manga brethren think. Which do you like better, in general, anime or manga?

I prefer anime to manga.

Well, Manga is usually cheaper, which is a plus. In terms of what I buy, I usually start out with a manga because, like I said, it's cheaper. If it's good enough for me to keep buying volumes of it then I'll check out the anime. However, if an good Anime is coming on TV (a rare occasion these days) then I'll stick with the anime until it's finished and then move on to the Manga. It's an overly complicated system I don't really think that I prefer one or the other, but I will say that I've never seen a horribly dubbed manga.

If the comic is more darker and flesh the story out, I usually go manga.

I like to sit back watch animation.

I haven't really been into either in quite some time, but I've always preferred manga. Much easier to get access too and not a lot of filler. Plus, then you don't have to worry about dubs, reading subs (which always distracts me from actually watching the thing), or terrible animation (which irks me).

I'm a bit mixed. There are some things that should be read as a manga, such as Claymore, but I like to watch and listen to anime, such as the Claymore anime (Raki and the ending are the only things that really make the anime better, in my opinion).

When you watch anime do you watch strictly subs or dubs and subs?

I mostly watch dubs, really.

I watched the dubs, and, in the beginning, I was actually surprised by Raki's voice, because it started off sounding much less wimpy than I had expected. However, Raki, as a whole, just tends to annoy me. One of the things the manga got right was turning Raki into a major badass post-timeskip.

How far are you in the manga? I have up to 14.

As far as the manga that has been released is concerned, I have all 14 released volumes, but I use a site to read the rest of the series.

I love both personally.

Sadly I have not. Since I don't see another dub anywhere in the near future, where is there a good place to watch them in sub?

I hope 4kids start translating mangas. That would be grand.
