Naruto is an itchy subject with me. I don't thing it's at all as great as some of the Narutards think it is, but it's not as bad as some other say it it. I think they just hate the fans of it so much they start to bash the show some.

Yeah. As a big fan of Hinata, from the series (I like the series, but Hinata and Sage Mode Naruto (and maybe Jiraiya) are the only things that are above "okay" in my opinion), I tend to see a lot of that, because one fanbase of a specific character (*cough*Sakura*cough*) has been known to hate the fanbase for another fanbase (*cough*NaruHina pairing*cough*) so much that they bash Hinata herself, which really makes no sense, because the limited time that she has had was never anything really bash-worthy.

I like them equally.

I like to watch their movements and hear their actual voices but I like to read the manga to see the art and all the details.

Do you know why people like Naruto? Great action, good story, character development, great art-if you don't like it, don't like it, but this isn't the thread to bash it to pieces.

Anyways, I'd say I prefer manga over anime. Why? Because anime can be slow sometimes. But I sometimes watch the animated parts of manga simply for eye candy

And Cowboy Bebop, Lupin III, Ghost in the Shell, Samurai Shamploon, There and Then/Here and Now, Graves of the Butterflies, and Elfen Lied are **** compare to Naruto.

Naruto is good. Now, if anyone were to compare Naruto with much of what you suggested (haven't seen most of them, though), they would have to be nuts, but that doesn't mean you can't still like Naruto (though I understand that you were quoting someone who said that Naruto was "great" in all those aspects, but still).

Hah, I actually did get it from Shinto Mythology. Naruto might have had something to do with it, though.

I haven't really watched the Naruto anime all that much, but the manga is sheer awesome.

I can't believe no one has mentioned Full Metal Alchemist yet... I like both animes and mangas because sometimes, as is the case of the first FMA, they are completly different from each other. I love the fma manga way more than the 1st anime, but the 1st anime was also awesome. And now a second anime is coming (FMA: Brotherhood) to the U.S (already in Japan and Youtube.) which will follow the manga more closely. So far, the new anime is looking awesome! I can't choose between the new anime and the manga.
