IGN: Top 25 Anime Characters

And you know what? I'm pretty sure Vegeta is there for the Over 9000 thing. Nappa would have been there too, which would be awesome in my opinion.

List fails due to Ichigo and Naruto being so high on the list. But I give kudos for the top 5.

I wouldn't even go that far. There's some interesting choices up on the list, but most of it is just bland and pretty boring. They did remember Kenshin though.

Sailor Moon, really?

Light was a very one-note character, not bad, per se, but hardly amazing or complex.

Motoko lacked personality in general. The glimpses you get behind her defences are intriuging, but she's more of a deus ex machina than a person,

Rei Ayanami is in a similar position. She wasn't really a character.

Spike is in a similar situation. I can sum his entire personality in one sentence: Easy-going guy with a dark past. That's about all there is to him. I love Cowboy Bebop dearly, but it didn't have massive amounts of character depth, and Jet and Faye got far more of it than Spike did. Heck, most of the one-off characters got more of it than Spike did.

Pikachu, Goku, Sailor Moon and Vegeta are all very, very, very one-note.

So yeah, a pretty mediocre list. Out of the characters I've actually seen (13 of them) 8 really shouldn't be on that list, as iconic as they are. the others aren't bad picks, per se, but aren't necessarily the best either. (Haruhi? Really? I mean, she has personality, but is somewhat lacking in depth.)

The ones I can definitely agree with are: Edward Elric, L, Vash (well, make that a maybe.), Lelouch, and Shinji.

Vash should be much higher. Shinji pisses me off so even seeing him on the 25th spot is annoying, and Pikachu shouldn't be there either.

I'm pretty sure some real Anime fans could come up with some better lists.

Goku, L, and Light Yagami are the only ones I care about who made it into the list.

I can agree with this. There are some characters that I believe are overrated, however Motoko Kusanagi made 13, so I'm pretty happy.

IMHO, Haruhi shouldn't be even on that ♥♥♥♥in' list and this is coming from a guy who has ♥♥♥♥in' Ryoko Asakura in his sig and avatar and was listening to some TMOHS music.

Miyazaki's characters in general probably all qualify for some list or other, but Kiki is probably the best of them.

I loved Kiki's Delivery Service

I really liked Laputa:Castle in the Sky as well, very good casting for the english dub imo, until I looked up who it was and then I could tell and that sorta bothered me, but oh well.

One of the members from IGN tried to find out where I live because I talk ♥♥♥♥ aboutt online and he statred I was an internet tough guy. Yes people, stating facts in a brutally honest way and freakin' trying to figure out a guy's personal infomation by posing as a cop is not being a ITG.

This list is pretty ♥♥♥♥ty. If you're going to use a Naruto character, it should be either Hinata or Jiraiya, really, unless you're talking about Sage Naruto, because that was where Naruto, as a character, peaked. Vash, while a great character, was not the greatest Trigun character. While he is the greatest hippie in existence, Legato and Wolfwood outshine him, really. L and Light are pretty good characters, so I'm not going to complain about that. Light, especially, has an awesome evil laugh.
