Some do, some actually live off of it. PvP, Girls with Slingshots, and Questionable content do I know. Well, That and some do artisitic work on the side.

Hijinks Ensue and Penny Arcade. Only two I've ever really read. My brother reads PvP and has had me look through a couple of them, but never really got into it.
