Trigun
This forum could be a little more active, so let's talk about one of my favorite shows.
Trigun is the story of Vash the Stampede, the Humanoid Typhoon with the bounty of 60 billion on his head. He's responsible for the destruction of a major city, and it seems that wherever he goes, disaster follows. Yet despite his destructive reputation, Vash is more than the rumors say he is. Trigun ranks very highly as one of my favorite shows of all time for a reason. It was one of the first animes I really enjoyed from a more mature perspective, and it made me want to watch more anime. The show has lots of good music and gun fights, but the heart of the story is the characters, namely Vash, Wolfwood, and Legato. These 3 are very distinct fictional characters, but the rest of the cast is very notable as well. Even some of the most minor characters are memorable in their own way. So discuss Trigun here. |

Re: Trigun
My favorite random character from the show is Kuroneko. Seriously, she pops up randomly out of nowhere sometimes.

The black cat? Yes, she's in every episode. It's fun to look out for her and see where she pops up next.

Re: Trigun
This is one of my 2 favorite animes, along with Claymore. Vash is easily the greatest peace-loving hippie of all time (if only Naruto knew about him
), Wolfwood is easily the greatest preacher of all time, and Legato Bluesummers is easily the greatest villain of all time. I can't believe he only got the number 2 spot on ThatDudeInTheSuede's Top 11 Anime Villains review. In Onemanga, on the forums, I've even stated recently that Naruto's current turn towards hippie-ism just doesn't work, stating at one point that only one character can pull off the "save everybody" stance: ![]()

But Legato is one villain I shan't forget easily. The end of Episode 24 is ebbed permanently into my mind, and you all know why. |

Anyways Trigun is my second favorite anime. It's certainly a great one. It was my favorite for quite a few years there. Did you hear that they're making a movie? It's 100% official, there's a trailer out, an idea of the plot as well as a release date for Japan. (Spring of 2010, I believe.)

I actually convinced my English teacher to take a look at Trigun, and she's over 50 and I'm not sure if she's ever watched anime before. |

Re: Trigun
Trigun is just awesome. I love Vash and how all he wants is to live in peace and despises killing above all else. I also loved those little monologues for the previews for then ext episode. Some of them have a nice little nugget of truth in them.
Loved the scene where Wolfwood thought Vash was the cat. ![]() |

Re: Trigun
Trigun, as has been stated, is quite awesome. Wolfwood just plain kicked ass in terms of character. And that one episode, where that ONE THING happens to him is to this day the only scene in an anime that ever made me tear up. When he's kneeling in the church. Not to mention the soundtrack.

Re: Trigun
Yeah, the climax of both episodes 23 and 24 have been known to tear up grown men.
Not me, though, because, for some reason, I don't tear up when I should. I think the closest Japan has ever come to making me tear up is when I read the A-support between Hector and Serra in FE7.
