The Big Test: UZ vs. Wisp

OoC: Well, here we go. It's time for the first joint assignment coming out of the Zorolo homeroom. Now that you two have proven yourselves active enough to post quickly enough to make this enjoyable, let's get going.

Assignment: For UZ!: UZ will suddenly realize that Zorlo has gone and left him a note telling UZ to meet the fencer in Arena #4, the Rock Pit. With those orders, have UZ journey to the pit and end your post with him arriving there.

For Wisp: Have Wisp wake up after her night of sleep to find another letter from Zachary. This letter will tell her the same thing that UZ's letter tells him, to meet in Arena #4. End your post with Wisp's arrival.

Now then, after you both have posted, I'll have an In Character post, and then let you two have at it (in terms of fighting). I'll describe the setting so you both will have some kind of advantage, and remember, your teacher will be watching, so don't disappoint.

For your first post, I want a minimum of 500 words, but after that, there is no limit on length, but keep these two things in mind:

1) this is a fight, so make it interesting. If the fight is too one-sided, it will be boring, that's why I picked characters are roughly equal strength to fight. I want you two, with both of your awesomely original characters, to make this fight epic.

2) Since this is your first person vs. person battle, keep in mind length: Too long and you may be over controlling the other person's character, but too short and nothing will get done. Try to find a length that feels right for you, okay?

Now then, hop to it. ^_^

(OOC: Awwwwright. Time to get this puppy rollin'. And fwipping is totally a word. 508 words total here.)

UZ awoke on his own around 10:00 the next day, finally feeling rested after all those damn sleepless nights we had been getting the past few weeks. Although Zorlo had been working UZ quite hard for the entirety of his first week at the Dome, UZ had been given Sunday off. Zorlo had explained giving UZ the day off with a vague, “I have a surprise for you come Monday.” Wondering what Zorlo meant, UZ peeked out his door fully expecting his teacher to be standing there with a grin on his face, ready to explain what was going on. Instead, he was greeted with just a note stuck to the door with a small black tack.

UZ –
As I said before, I have a special assignment for you today, this time involving another student here at the dome, her name is Wisp.
Please meet me in Arena 4, the Rock Pit. When you get there, I’ll explain what this whole business is about.
And, per your request, I included a map from your room to the pit.

-Zorlo

UZ couldn’t help but laugh at the map Zorlo had included; it even had a cheesy little “YOU ARE HERE” sticker on the bottom where his room was and a little “YOU’LL BE HERE” sticker where the pit is. It almost looked like the kind of map UZ would draw a student if he was teaching. “Maybe I’m rubbing off on him or something, heh.” UZ quickly rushed back into his room to get ready for his special assignment, grabbing Beatrice, his new, if not slightly odd, sapphire treasure, and a couple rocks he found near his pond. “Just in case,” he mumbled to himself. As he set down the map, he began to wonder about the other student his assignment involved. Wisp was a strange name, he thought, although he may not be one to talk on that subject. “I suppose it’s more conceivable than ‘UZ’, after all.”

UZ’s sharp and indecisive mind began to get the better of him, as he began over thinking this new colleague of his. Wisp, he thought, is normally said to be a sound of the wind fwipping through grass and such. Perhaps Wisp was some sort of wind elemental? Maybe a giant horrifying personified beast of the west wind, come to the planet from the heavens to take her revenge? He chuckled while conjuring up images of giant evil-looking, red eyed wind djinns. “No,” he said to himself, “If she was that horribly powerful, I doubt I’d be working with her. I ain’t that good. Heh.” Looking at his clock, he saw that already he had dawdled for well over 30 minutes just thinking. “Whoop! Better get down to that rock pit place.” UZ raced out his door, going as fast as his hole could take him, to the Arena.

25 minutes later, he raced into the arena’s door, gasping for air and with a frown on his face. “You know, perhaps I should take the map with me, next time.”

(OoC: Around 540 words. Sorry that this is a little late. I got stuck on part of it.)

Wisp woke up aching, and noticed she was human again. A rustling sound caused her ears to perk up. Slowly sitting up, the shapeshifter looked over. There was a letter fluttering on her dresser. The rabbit girl glanced at her jeans, the red color around the small half-inch holes had darkened. I forgot to wrap the bandages around the areas. They most likely scabbed over by now.

The shapeshifter took her jacket off, and laid it on her brown covered bed. She looked at the roll of bandages, and then at her wrapped arms. There were small, reddish-black spots on it. She took the roll and set it on top of her jacket, and slowly began to unwrap her left arm.

The five holes in her left arm bled slightly after it came off, she gently wrapped a new bandage over them, using the fastener from the old one to hold it together. She avoided wrapping it over her elbow. The shapeshifter then repeated the process with her right arm.

Her rust orange t-shirt looked a bit wrinkled, so she went over to her leather school bag. The shapeshifter found a dark blue shirt, which was not one of the two shirts that had poison on them. She draped it over her bed and changed out of her orange shirt, and into the dark blue one. The new shirt was a bit big for her in its length, but she liked it like that.

Wisp then went back to her dresser, her gray and blue hiking boots lightly thudding on the floor as the shapeshifter walked. She picked up the letter and looked over it.

To Wisp,

Please come to Arena 4. It should not be hard to find.

From Zachary

The now dark teal-clad female sighed, “I’m coming.” She let the gray orb form around her, and bounded out of the burrow entrance. The orb reformed, with the letter clutched in her right hand. The rabbit girl rose her arms up in a stretch, before letting them fall back down, and left her room.

The corridor that she found herself in was modeled after the Roman Coliseum, with a sand covered floor. The walls appeared to be worn with age, with crumbling tower-like pillar at the top, raking against the blue sky.

The shapeshifter headed to the left, and after eight metal latticed doors, she was in a swamp forest hallway. This hall had a dark brown dirt for the floor, and large willow-type trees for the walls.

The novice air-user went to the right for nine doors, and came into a cliff-type of passageway.

The hallway was a gray color, the walls held what looked to be slash marks in them. The walls on either side tapered and ended about ten feet from the cliff.

The walls leading to the cliff edge held six doors, all were numbered and had the word ‘Arena‘. The shapeshifter stood in between the first two and saw the number two on the right door, and the number five on the left. The next two were numbered one and three. Number four and six were the two that were the closest to the cliff edge.

Wisp took a couple of breaths and then opened the door to Arena #4.

OoC: Good job, both of you. Now then, let it begin. ^_^

BiC: The doors the students were to enter through were wooden doors into a Romanesque Colosseum. Past the doors lay a field of rocks, large and small, in the sand and gravel ground. The battlefield was ideal for Wisp and UZ to battle in, and their teachers knew this. Two figures appeared in the seating area, sitting down quietly, cloaked by an invisible barrier between the battlefield and the spectator area. The two wouldn't know their teachers were there until this was over.

"So, how do you thinks he'll fair?" Zorlo asked as he turned his head towards Zachary, smiling.

"She'll be fine. She's a little wounded, but I don't think that will slow her down," Zachary responded. "So, how do you think you're friend the worm will do?"

"UZ will be fine. With the Third Eye he has now, he'll be able to better fight with the rocks in this area."

"So it is to be rocks vs. wind? What a lovely guy you are," Zachary joked as the two opened. When the two had entered, the doors closed and locked behind them.

"Here we go," Zorlo stated as he stood up, Zachary standing up afterwards to watch. "Let the fight begin."

OoC: Now then, it is time that your two characters fight. There is no required post length, just recall what I told you at the top. You both will get four posts, then I'll post, and then from there, we'll see how this goes. Okay. ^_^

Also, keep in mind, the reason I chose these two is they are evenly matched on paper, so I want to see a relatively even match that will be awesome to the spectators, okay? ^_^

(OOC: 396 words, not too long. Man, my character's a jackass when he fights.)

BIC:
As UZ slithered into the large rocky area, he saw nothing of special note except for the rocks that he was expecting, and Zorlo was nowhere to be seen. “Interesting. Why would he send me to the arena if he’s not even going to b-” his sentence was cut off sharply when he noticed a shadow coming at him from across the battlefield. A girl was approaching, wearing all shades of blue, looking just as confused as he did. “Ahoy!” he called, “You must be Wisp.”

“How did you know my name?” she asked in surprise. She had never seen a creature like UZ before in her life. A small orange worm with a yellow lightning bolt was talking to her? She wondered where Zachary was.

“I was told that I was doing something of a joint assignment with you. And I have a sneaking suspicion that it involves us fighting.” UZ looked up at the strange girl as he inched closer to her. She had a strange air about her; it almost seemed like it got windier the closer he got to her. He had just noticed that she had bunny ears coming out of her dark brown hair, to which he rolled his eyes and mumbled, “And when I said I wanted to fight bunnies…”

“What was that?” asked Wisp with a sharp tone in her voice. “I don’t think I like what you're saying, worm.”

UZ was taken aback at that comment until he realized they were never really introduced. “Please, call me UZ. UZ the treeworm, to be precise. And remember, that’s spelled as UZ, not Ooze.” Seeing the look of confusion on the rabbit girl’s face, he continued, “Damn, I forgot, that joke only works on paper.” UZ looked up, and smirked as he said, “Well, Wisp, I think we’ve dawdled long enough. It’s obvious we’re going to be fighting, so we might as well start strong!”

As Wisp finished digesting all that UZ had just said, she looked behind her to see a rock lifting up from the ground, and UZ smirking like an imbecile. As the rock shot toward her, she quickly leaped out of the way, causing the rock to almost careen into UZ instead. Shaken, UZ said, annoyed, “Ah, so you’re a quick one, are ya? Well, let’s see how you like a few more of those…”

(OOC: All right, I didn't know how much battling I should actually do in that post, so I just started it off for us.)

(276 words. OoC:I don't think Wisp would be that direct in talking, but it works. There is no wind coming off of her either, just to help you; or was it the third eye thing helping UZ?)

Her ears fell level with her eyes as she heard UZ's last comment. She had leapt to the right of the flying rock. He's able to move those rocks? Great... Another rock was coming on her left and she ended up hopping backwards next to the circular wall. It cracked as it impacted another part of the wall.

She formed a fist and punched, sending an Air Shot flying towards the orange worm. UZ ducked into the hole underneath him, and popped back out as a Gale Edge was about to strike his head.

A rock blocked the attack from hitting him. The rabbit girl hopped up onto Sky Pillar's plank, and began to run to the left. She then let two Gale Edges fly, one horizontal to the ground, and the other kicking up sand. They both were a little of center of each other.

UZ had ducked his head under the horizontal one, but was grazed on the right side with vertical one. It looked like sand had gotten into his eyes, due to his squinting. Two small rocks began to fly towards her, she backstepped the first, only to be hit in the left leg with the other small boulder.

More rocks started to move, Wisp managed to hop away from them. Sky Pillar was forming boards on an angle to help her jump around the rocks. The shapeshifter was now five feet in the air, then she just dropped to the ground. A large boulder hissed by her head.

UZ was able to shake most of the sand off of him by now, and began to move towards her.

(OOC: 389 words. I'm certainly enjoying this.)

“Jeez, this girl is direct, isn’t she?” UZ was not pleased at all that Wisp was dodging all of his thrown rocks with relative ease. One nick on the ankle was not going to bring her down, and he knew it. He was even more surprised that she was able to shoot air at him with such force. “Good thing I rested last night, my spell casting might need to come into play here at some point.” Almost immediately after he said it, another blast of air zipped past his face, narrowly missing his nose. “All right, you asked for it! HASTE.”

A greenish aura surrounded UZ as time slowed down around him. He was still having trouble seeing with the sand in his eyes, but he had a plan for that sand. With his newfound speed, Wisp’s gales were easily dodged by UZ as he attempted to concentrate on a small strip of sand beneath the rabbit girl. His training hadn’t ever included much in the way of moving mass objects at once, but he was certain that if he needed to, it could be done. The third eye sapphire kicked in at that point, and his mind focused all of its energy on one short blast toward the sand.

The plan worked like a charm, and a bar of sand blew up into Wisp, throwing her back into the wall with a sizeable amount of force. Right as it seemed he could celebrate a move well done, his spell wore off and he got decked right above his left eye with a pillar of air. “Oof!” UZ slammed into the back of his hole and got dragged back several feet to the other wall of the arena, leaving one competitor on either side.

UZ knew he was at a disadvantage. His rather large eyes were still very squinty from all of the sand and dust floating around the arena, and for all he knew, all of the girl’s long distance attacks could spread and fill the entire side of the arena with that blasted wind. He could throw rocks with enough force to really wound from 30, maybe 40 feet at most. This arena was too big. He had to charge to get close enough. He flew forward as windy blasts tore up the area around him.

(OoC: 372 words. Good post, UZ.)

UZ was coming towards her again. The hit from the sand and the wall hurt. She let herself fall to her knees, and a gray orb formed around her, then shrank. Harder target to hit now. I'm going to have to be careful though. The swamp rabbit leapt into the air, with the help of Sky Pillar. Her ears raised up, and then fell. This movement caused a Gale Edge to race towards the oncoming worm, but a bit to the right.

Just as UZ was going to move to the left, another Gale Edge cleaved into the ground, which threw him back about two feet. His nose had a small cut now. She dropped down to two feet above the ground and charged as he was recovering.

The shapeshifter's right ear went forwards, as a pole struck the worm in the neck or stomach area. UZ was reeling now, and she closed the gap. The rabbit stopped herself when she was almost in front of UZ, pivoting on her fore legs and kicking him in the head with her hind legs.

Wisp then bounded about ten feet away from him, and turned to face the worm.

Her ears went forewards as she hopped slightly, which sended an Air Shot at UZ.

He managed to duck into that hole of his, yet it still grazed the top of his head. Two boulders began to launch at the rabbit now from her left and right sides. They both were about six feet wide, and were already seven feet away from her.

A plank formed vertically as the rabbit hopped back and then onto it. The rabbit launched herself seven feet back, and turned in mid-air. She had landed with her head facing the floor, vertically. The two boulders had slammed into each other, just a short while after the plank had vanished, and threw dust into the air.

The vertical plank had hidden this entire 'backflip' from UZ's sight. The dust cloud was the only thing between them now. The rabbit was next to the wall, standing on the top of a gray pole, which began to fade into the ground at two feet. Wisp was about five feet above the ground now.

(236 words, this one's pretty short, since there's not much dialouge. Heh, I notice I keep hurting myself a bunch in my own posts.)

“All right, this is getting ridiculous,” said UZ as he again charged toward Wisp. “Now I’m fighting a shapeshifter? This battle just can’t get any weirder.” UZ looked through the large grey dust cloud, trying to catch a silhouette of the newly transformed rabbit girl. Frustrated, he screamed as he launched a small barrage of pebbles into the cloud until several bumping noises sounded and the rabbit fell from the cloud.

Wisp gave UZ a look that almost gave her rabbit eyes a threatening “come on” vibe to them. UZ, never one to turn down a lady’s request, gladly obliged, and began to swipe at her with a particularly sharp rock that was sitting behind him. Her skills at dodging seemed to be even higher in her rabbit form, as swipe after swipe missed their target as she jumped from invisible platform to invisible platform. His head snapped back as a burst of air smacked a rock he had thrown at her back into his face.

By this point, Wisp had begun to frustrate UZ, and his rage got the better of him. A roar of the word “BLAZE!” yielded a fireball that charred the air around the rabbit. Stunned, she fell back to the earth, landing somewhat awkwardly on her left front leg. Obviously in pain, she stood back up and launched several gusts directly at UZ from all directions. Knowing there was no way to dodge this, UZ scrunched up his muscles and braced himself for the impact of a tornado.

(OoC: 213 words. A little short, but it moves it along. First use of Shadow Spire. ^-^)

The four Gale Edges she had launched were closing in on the unmoving worm. "Ow, " her voice seemed to come from the area the rabbit was in, but her mouth never moved. Great, my left fore leg is hurting. Wisp took advantage of the pause, hopped to the ground and turned back to normal.

The shapeshifter threw an Air Shot right after all four cresents had hit UZ, only flinching a tiny bit. The gray orb smacked him in the left side of his head. Three boulders formed a triangle and proceeded to slam into her. They were about three feet off of the ground, and nearly hit her as she let herself fall flat onto the ground. Dust now covered her back, and she slowly stood up.

A rock hit her in the left shoulder, followed by a sharp one, which grazed her left arm. The cut was not deep, but blood was slowly coming out of it. The worm faced her now with a smirk. The rabbit girl pulled her right hand up, and pushed it towards UZ.

A dark gray spike jutted out of the shadow of a nearby rock, and stopped past his head on the right. UZ now looked a little nervous as he glanced at the spike.

(OOC: This is starting to get pretty intense. <_< 317 words.)

“The hell?!” UZ had a reason to be surprised. One of the larger boulders in the area had just grown a large spike out of its shadow, aiming right for UZ’s head. Sure, he had been able to substantially wound the rabbit, but a giant spike seemed to be a little bit of overkill. Quickly shifting to the left, the spike just barely missed his nose. Angry that she was continually new pulling powers out of nowhere, UZ grabbed the boulder and began to throw it straight from his head toward the rabbit.

As the boulder flew toward Wisp, she quickly ducked while summoning another spike from the shadow of the flying boulder. Unprepared for such a quick maneuver on her part, UZ got straight stabbed with the spike in the neck. A quick contraction of his muscles reduced the damage, and there was little blood, but the pain still flowed through UZ’s body from that blow. Noticing the boulder was still in the air, he snagged it from long range and sent it back careening toward himself. The boulder slammed into Wisp’s back, throwing her several feet.

UZ watched as the rabbit girl landed right next to the base of his hole. Stretching out of the hole, UZ was soon 5 feet longer than before. Wisp could only look up in awe of his growth as he head-butted her straight in the chest. Grabbing her in midair, he slammed his head into her again as he brought her back and forth in the air. It took 2 more angry skull bashes until Wisp regained her composure and let loose a furious blade of wind into UZ’s already wounded neck.

Writhing in pain, UZ mumbled, “…heal” and watched as the bleeding stopped from his now horribly bruised neck. Wisp landed with a thud next to him, both of them taking a moments pause for breath and composure.

(OoC: 294 words. After this post it's Zorolo's turn. I've been keeping track. ^.^ Oh, I meant Shadow Spire's color to be dark gray not black. I'm going to fix that typo after this post.)

What the heck hit me? Wisp's chest felt sore, and coughed. She looked over at the orange worm on her left, I guess I deserved that, for nearly spearing him.

The rabbit girl just nudged her right arm out, and caused a pillar to slam into UZ's left side. It threw him a good ten feet back. He landed with a thud as his head nearly smacked against the ground. When UZ became upright again, he sent a boulder flying from her left side.

Wisp managed to sit up, when she held her left arm out towards to speeding rock. A fog-like plank came up and caught the boulder, which she made explode into dust with a pole suddenly jutting out of the plank shield. The shapeshifter threw another Air Shot orb at UZ as he began to charge her again.

The worm easily went to the right, only to move into three Gale Edges that were vertical and racing towards him. UZ shifted to the left as all three went past him and grinned. An Air Shot caught him in the head at that moment, and nudged his head back.

The rabbit girl let the orb cover her, and she emerged as a rabbit again. She hopped onto a couple of poles as another rock began following her. The rabbit bounded around the arena, and then stopped about two feet to the left of UZ's head. The boulder was streaking towards her, as well as UZ rising up to strike her again.

The shapeshifter fell to the ground as the boulder was three feet in front of her, and UZ's head was falling towards her. The boulder then met UZ's neck, which hurled him into a wall, as the boulder turned to dust.

"Enough for now!" came Zorlo's voice from the stands as the two teachers appeared on the field. "For now, you two get a break, so you can stop for now. You two are doing quite well," the Aura Master stated as he walked over to UZ as Zachary headed towards Wisp. Time for a break, the two teachers figured. They didn't want their students to die.

OoC: Okay, here is your new assignment. This is a bridge between the battle. Zorlo and Zachary will heal UZ and Wisp, respectively, and after that, the teacher and student with have a discussion about how the battle is going so far, how they feel about how each is fighting, and how their skills feel. For this, I want an 800 word minimum. Pick out specific parts where your character really shined to celebrate his/her power, and pick the moments when the character thinks they can improve. Good luck. ^_^

BIC:
“Heh, so you were watching that whole thing, huh?” UZ questioned the motives of his teacher, sending him into a battle and watching the whole time with UZ not knowing.

“Yes, I was indeed. You did rather well, I’d say. I’d prefer to hear your side of the story, though. How do you think you fared out there?” Zorlo was patching up UZ’s many scratches, which proved easy to do, since most didn’t even come close to penetrating his thick skin. After dumping a bit of water on him to clean off any excess dust, UZ began his reply.

“Well, I’m guessing you chose this place due to the large rocks I could use?” Seeing his teacher nod yes, UZ continued. “Well, heh, good call. I’ve always liked rocks, they’re the perfect projectile. I even made a nice 20 or so foot stretch to grab one of the boulders.” UZ paused for a second, trying to remember through all the hustle what exactly had happened out there. “Ah, right. I’d say my best move out there was when I grabbed that rock out of mid-air and slammed it right back into her. That was sa-weet.”

“Perhaps,” started Zorlo, “but I noticed quite a few flaws in your fighting style. In fact, I daresay you made a good number more errors than you did good moves.”

UZ couldn’t help but agree with him on that one. No matter how UZ looked at it, the rabbit girl had defeated him that round. “True, Zorlo. Very true.” Which parts, he thought to himself, could he have executed better? Before he could answer his own thought, Zorlo interjected.

“Your worst maneuver was by far the haste spell you cast on yourself early into the battle. You barely moved at all.”

“Yes,” replied UZ, “I was trying to get myself some extra agility and time for concentration so I could execute that one sand bar maneuver. I had forgotten all about my sapphire at that point. By the time it had activated itself and I got my real good thinking process back, it was sort of too late to stop it.” UZ remembered how hard those air blasts were, and his jaw began to ache just thinking about it. “I suppose my lack of attention during that battle didn’t help matters, either. I got cocky when I saw I was just fighting a plain old human with rabbit ears.”

“At least you’ve admitted to yourself that you got cocky during the course of that,” said Zorlo, continuing with a smirk, “At least you never lost your good humor for the fight, eh?”

“Ha, ha. Real funny.” UZ looked back toward the rabbit girl and the man UZ could only assume was her mentor. “I wonder what they’re discussing over there,” he said, “She fought much better than me.”

“Don’t sell yourself short, UZ. You didn’t blow the fight or anything. It was a fine match. You had your moments.”

“Name them.”

“So pessimistic…” Zorlo mumbled to himself while rolling his eyes, “When you finally got going into it, the little rampage you went on with the head-butting was quite skillful. Using your psychic powers to grab her out of the air as you continued to slam her with your head, it was quite a show. She looked genuinely worried at that point.”

Zorlo tried to pick out other moments that UZ had shown his skills in the battle, with some effort, as his fighting had been mostly mediocre up to that point. “Ah, remember the point where you surprised Wisp with your then unforeseen blaze move? She had been pulling tricks out of her hat the entire battle, and when you finally retaliated with something new, she was totally thrown off guard.”

“Hmm, all right.” UZ strained to think of anything else that happened, his head was killing him despite the healing. He had, after all, just been hit in the neck with a large spike and a whole boulder. “I’d better ration my spells for the rest of this fight. I only have 2 left for the day, since I wasted that haste spell…”

“My point for this little pep talk is that you can do much better than how you were out there. Where’s the calm and collected UZ that I saw fighting that water dragon? Back in that situation, you never doubted yourself, but you were wary. You’ve lost both of those traits in this battle so far.” Zorlo gave his student a powerful look as he finished, looking over at the other two.

Looking over himself, UZ noticed that Wisp and her teacher had ceased talking. The mentor was looking Zorlo in the eye with a smirk on his face. UZ sighed, realizing that the battle was far from over “Ugh…”

(OoC: 822 words. Sorry that this is late.)

The rabbit looked over to see Zachary approaching her. I bet they were watching us. He’s probably going to chew me out for being a rabbit…

“It’s been a good fight so far, Wisp.”

“I guess so,” the shapeshifter replied, “I learned something new though.”

“Well, at least you didn’t get hit often,” he said as he knelt beside her and began to help the rabbit recover, her body started to glow a soft blue.

“I’m pretty easy to hurt right now, though,” the rabbit’s ears dropped down a bit, and she shuddered a bit.

Zachary chuckled, “You’re pretty good with tactics, for instance; you attacked him as he paused in the fight.”

“Yeah, I kind of based that on ‘we are in a fight,’ type of reminder, and we both had the opportunity to attack each other, so I took it,” her left ear moved up, nearly vertical. She stood up on her hind legs and looked up at her teacher.

“It feels kind of odd, talking to a rabbit that talks back, but it doesn‘t matter,” the ice mage muttered and then continued, “I’m surprised you can fight that directly. You even kicked him in the head as a rabbit, I didn’t expect that at all.”

The novice air and now shadow-user wanted to smile at that, but could not. “This area seems to be fitted to both of us. UZ really surprised me with that fire attack.” The rabbit’s ears drifted back as she thought, UZ is interesting. He even knows how to recover. The worm most likely will use it again.

“Wisp, what happened with that plank you used a while ago?” Zachary started to stand up now.

The rabbit’s left ear perked up, “I kind of did a back flip, then I landed on the wall for a moment.”

“You were almost crushed by some rocks a couple of times, and he managed to bash you around with his head,” the ice mage sighed, “except the last one I mentioned would have been hard to stop, anyway.“ Zachary glanced over at Zorlo for a moment, “What do you think your best move was?”

The swamp rabbit tilted her head to the left, as she stood up on her hind legs and faced Zachary. “I think it was that one where UZ dodged one Gale Edge, but got hit with the vertical one. That, or the spike I made… I don‘t really know.”

“Does your spike move have a name, Wisp?”

“It’s called Shadow Spire, I think there’s a variation of it, but I’m not sure,” the rabbit replied, looking up at the ice mage. She saw his eyes dim for a second, but then just heard him chuckle.

“You seem to be getting better with your other skills, and you are responding faster.”

Wisp looked over at UZ and Zorlo, the two seemed to still be talking. His comment about wanting to fight bunnies is a little odd, but he is fighting me though. The green glow that surrounded him managed to increase his speed, but I just threw him back. She noticed that UZ seemed to be a little down for a moment.

“Don’t let him hit you with any rocks while you’re in this form, ok? He could seriously hurt you,” the ice mage looked slightly worried at the shapeshifter. “I noticed that you managed to dodge that last attack by falling to the ground and causing him to hit himself. That was a good tactic.”

“I’m still a beginner at it though, I just got lucky. I‘m not going to let that bother me though.” her ears drooped, but came right back up again. I’m doing the best I can. I mean, he can move the rocks around, but I’ve managed to hit him. UZ just probably judged me on how I looked for this half of the fight. He might have thought I would be easy to beat, because I kind of looked like a rabbit.

Zachary nodded his head, and looked over at UZ for a while. The shapeshifter glanced over as well, UZ apparently was listening to whatever Zorlo was saying with a slight interest.

That spike, or Shadow Spire, felt kind of weird when I used it. My right arm turned cold for a moment, but I was kind of annoyed that he had cut me. Normally, I would have ignored it, but it was odd. I want to try and use it again, I‘ll try not to be annoyed. I‘m surprised I rarely used the plank to guard me. Maybe I can ‘throw‘ Sky Pillar‘s attack from another direction…

The ice mage knelt down again, “Be careful, he might surprise you again with something new. Try to keep him guessing where you’re going to attack from, instead of coming from the front, ok?”

The rabbit nodded, “I understand Zachary.”

The blue and red-clad ice mage then stood up, looked over, and grinned at Zorlo.

OoC: Excellent posts both. I'm happy you could analyze and judge what your characters best moves and least impressive moves were. Now then, its time for something that I feel the need to get out of the way: My part.

BiC: The Aura Master and the Ice Elemental patted their students, respectively, on the head and walked towards the center of the arena. When they arrived, Zorlo held his hand out, a smile over his face, and Zachary smiled equally in return. Here, they were equals. Here, it didn't matter about them. Only their students were important. Zachary grabbed Zorlo's hand, and the two vanished in a blur of green back into the stands to watch, now fully visible.

"I think they'll be just fine," Zorlo stated as he cast a quick glance to Zachary.

"I agree. Now if you'd stop your eves dropping, I'd be happier," Zachary stated as he looked at the fencer.

"So you noticed."

"I know you too well, Zorlo. Now then, we wait for them to start fighting again."

A massive green spire shot up from the center of the arena. The signal to begin had been given. The fight would continue now.

OoC: Okay, four more posts each. After that, another intermission at my expense. Get to it! ^_^
