[Safer] Sam's Training

Ooc: I had a little trouble with this one for some reason, so it didn’t turn out the way I wanted it to. It gets the job done I guess. Well, I hope it’s okay.

Bic: “You can’t go in that forest. Those trees are cursed. Many strong worriers have gone in, but no one ever comes out,” the man said, his eyes filled with shock and a little fear.

“Sounds like my kind of place,” Sam replied with a big smile.

The two where sitting in the corner of a small tavern, that also functioned as an inn, with a group of bandits. The man was their leader; he was large and mean-looking. Sam had been traveling with them for a few days, but now it seemed they where going to split up. They had stopped in a small town on the edge of the desert. It was a strange place that seemed untouched by the dry weather or heat. The only ways to get to the next town were a dangerous mountain range or a so called cursed forest. The forest was by far the shortest rout, but the bandits were afraid of it.

“You’ll die out there,” the leader said, trying to convince Sam not to go.

“You don’t know that for sure, do you? Sounds to me like these worriers just disappeared. That doesn’t mean that they died,” Sam said. “I’m going, end of discussion. You big brave bandits do what you want.”

Then she stood up and went up to her room.

* * * * *

The next day, Sam stood outside the inn with the group.

“Good luck, Miss,” The leader said to her with a makeshift bow.

“Same to you,” Sam replied not moving.

“You’ll need it more than we will,” he said looking off into the trees behind Sam.

“I don’t really think so,” she said smiling. Then she turned around and headed into the woods, ignoring the bandits behind her. She wasn’t afraid of the forest, if anything she was excited. This could be the type of adventure she was waiting for.

It only took her a few minutes to get to the edge of the forest. There were signs warning no one to enter. She walked a few feet into the trees. She hadn’t been in many forests, but everything seemed normal. There were birds chirping and insects buzzing, nothing strange at all, so she kept walking.

She soon came across a clearing. She could see the sky through the branches above her and there was little ground covering. One thing bothered her though, it had gotten quite. There was no sound at all. She looked around the clearing cautiously and then walked quickly through it, not wanting to be caught off guard. A few moments later she stepped into the clearing again.

*Wasn’t I just here?* She thought looking around. She then walked across it again, but once again she found herself back in the clearing. This went on for hours and she started to get frustrated. *This isn’t getting me anywhere.*

Sam walked over to a tree and sat down under it. She leaned back against the tree and looked up at the branches. It was still quiet, but it was peaceful.

*I need to think,* She thought, *but maybe if I just rest my eyes.*

She closed her eyes and soon drifted off to sleep.

* * * * *

When she woke up it was already dark. She rubbed her eyes and stood up. She could barely see anything through the blackness. She started walking, holding her hands out in front of her.

*I slept too long,* She thought.

She managed to stumble out off the clearing, without much trouble. Once she was in the trees, however, she had a hard time not running into trees or tripping over roots. Suddenly, she stepped on a soft patch of dirt, which gave out under her feet. She grabbed a root to stop herself from falling, but the root snapped and she fell down the hole.

It was deeper than she had thought and she found herself falling for several minutes. Then the dark tunnel opened into a large room made of white marble. It was bright and Sam had to cover her eyes. A few seconds later, she hit water. She had been falling so fast that she touched the bottom of the small pool. Opening her eyes, she swam to the top and looked around the room.

It was large and made white marble. She was in a small pool in the center of it. There was one large brown wooden door to her right. She smiled at the sight. This was turning out to be exactly what she had been waiting for.

Ooc: I'm not sure how I did with Tokumaru but oh well. Here it is.

Bic: Sam swam over to the edge of the pool and pulled herself out. She stood up and looked around the room. She was confused and excited at the same time. She could tell she wouldn’t be bored for a while. Suddenly, the door opened and she turned to look at it. A man with dark hair stepped in and looked around the room. He was only a few inches taller than her. He wore a kimono and brown sandals. Even though he had a sword, Sam didn’t think he was much of a threat.

It only took him a few seconds to notice Sam standing there. When he did, he walked over to her with a warm smile.

“You must be a new student,” He said kindly. “I’m Tokumaru Kyô. Welcome to the Dome.”

“Um…. I’m Sam,” She replied with a weak smile. “Where did you say we are?”

“The Dome,” Tokumaru said looking a little confused. “You have heard of it, right?”

“Not that I remember,” Sam said thoughtfully. She didn’t remember a lot of things.

“Well that’s fine,” He said, smiling again. “A lot of people come here by accident. I’ll explain it on the way to your room.”

Sam fallowed Tokumaru through the door and into a hallway. The Dome was filled with all types of creatures and places. Sam couldn’t wait to explore it. Everything looked so amazing and mysterious. She could tell she wouldn’t be bored for a while.

“So, what is the Dome anyway?” She asked in an amazed voice.

“We don’t really know. We use it as a training ground, but what it was made for is still unknown to us,” Tokumaru answered with a chuckle. “It exists in several universes and every room is different environment.”

“Awesome,” Sam said with a big smile.

Tokumaru chuckled and stopped in front of a door.

“This is your room,” he said and opened the door, then he walked away.

Sam walked into the room and closed the door. It was small, but comfortable. A bed sat on one side of the room. The walls were painted like the sky and sand covered the ground. For some reason it felt homey.

*This is going to be interesting* She thought.

Okay, here's what I want you to do. Go back through those lessons you wrote and reread them, looking for any spelling errors, correcting them as you go. If you THINK you mispelled something, spell it again to the best of your ability. When you do these edits, you can just do it by editing your previous posts instead of posting them again, just do me a favor and put bold tags () around the words you edit. Once that's done, I'll check it and we'll see if we can't get you moving on!
