[GOLDENCHAOS] Cain's training
OoC: okay, this is a post of how Ahab gets to the Dome. then ill post your assignment, k?
iC: Ahab strode along the desolate plains, shifting his magical guns on his back and sides as he did. He did not know where his feet were carrying him, lately he had been doing a lot of wandering. All he knew is that he did not want to go back to Belisaur for a while. He wanted a place to stay and just train...solidly. A huge hill rose up before him, and he determinedly strode up it, not letting anything get in his way. Since he was one who liked exercise, especially from the numerous fights he had been in, the hill was nothing for him. However, in his thin, yet strong armor, it weighed down on him, making him perspire slightly. But he cleared the hill within two minutes, and found himself at the top of a huge clearing. The clearing signified where his journey would end, for it was a solid wall of monstrous mountains that reached up into the sky until they were gone from sight. Snow capped them, and he knew he would not be able to pass them even if he had wanted to. In front of those huge mountains, in the middle of a huge giant clearing below him, was a gigantic Dome. Many people were walking around outside, and he suspected inside as well. Curious, he descended the tall knoll he had ascended, heading for the Dome. He wondered if this could be a place to train... OoC: okay goldenchaos, this is the assignment you gave me...simply meet your character. i did so. hope its good! BiC: Kyrias sat across the table from Ahab. His short hair caught Ahab's attention almost at once, as did his flanged armor that he wore. A strange staff rested on his back. He was intruiged by this unknown person, and wanted very much to learn more about him. "I am called Kyrias," the man said to Ahab unexpectedly. "I see you just arrived here at the Dome." Ahab nodded, not saying anything. The Dome was still very strange to him, and he was wary of it even now, when he was in its depths. Outside the small room, hundreds of men and kids alike walked and talked, some practicing sparring, some casting spells. It seemed normal enough, but for Ahab, he had never been to such a place where you could simply roam freely...it was something new for him. "How did you come to be here?" Kyrias inquired, leaning across the table a bit. Ahab was still uncomfortable, and the hand he didn't have on the table was hovering over his uzi...but Kyrias did not seem to be an enemy, and Ahab soon took his hand away from the bewitched Free Magic gun. "It started long ago..." said Ahab quietly, still unsure of himself. He shifted, trying to relax himself, then decided that to keep talking might make it easier. "I left my land--Belisaur--two years ago, after slaying the King. He had ruled for over a thousand years, and he was a Vampire...after many years of adventure in Belisaur, it came down to a war...and I slayed him. Mind you, it was not without it's punishments." Ahab indicated a long, ropy scar that stretched from his wrist to his shoulder...a testimony from t he King's Vampire sword that had bitten into his flesh not two minutes into the battles beginning. He pulled his sleeve back over the disfigurement, and continued his story. "I stayed in Belisaur for a time, long enough to establish fair rule again, with a good king this time, one who would not rip apart the land and control out of pure force...he was a friend of mine. After the dictatorship was torn down and democrocy settled in, I left Belisaur, for there was nothing left for me to do there." Kyrias listened intently, drinking in every word. His history was vital information to him. "A few years passed, with me wandering from place to place...nothing special really happened during that time. Eventually, I came upon an empty stretch of plains, and followed it here. I have no more secrets." Kyrias nodded his assent. "Well, Ahab, it seems that you have been thrust into an alien place, haven't you? A training school must be a change of pace..." "I need a change of pace," Ahab cut in. "I am sick of wandering around with nobody to talk to...I need socialization, perhaps even to settle down. I want to hone my skills even if they are not in need of it." Kyrias nodded knowingly again, murmuring something to himself. "Well then, you have come to the right place. I will train you. Welcome to the Dome," he shook Ahab's hand vigorously, and Ahab actually managed a smile. He had found the right place for him. Last edited by Terrin; 02-19-2005 at 09:38 PM. |

Re: [GOLDENCHAOS] Cain's training
OoC: Very, very nice, Bloodsword. Tiny nitpicky errors were all I coudl really find, I will work on those with you later.
IC: This man has potential. The armor on him is stunning, so thin, yet so heavy. How strong would he be with the armor off? How did he truly get here, I wonder? "I'm glad you came here, Ahab. I'm sure you will enjoy your stay, I know I am. But for now... you didn't come to me to chat, did you? Let us spar! I'll give you the choice: You can fight myself as practice, or you can fight my books." "Your... books, sir? Are you sure that is okay?" "Perfectly safe. I just happen to have a collection of.. ugh!" Kyrias walked over to an old bookshelf in the room, and pulled out a green book with extravegant patterns on its frontside. Upon tossing the book and releasing it from his hand, the book gained a life of its own. It began to float in the air, sideways, and opened it's pages to reveal a mouth with several sharp teeth and a snake-like tounge. "Whoa!" Ahab was thoroughly intriged by these haunted books. "I can... fight those?" "Of course. In fact, you should. They are great for practice, and you can hurt them all you want. I'll gather up some more, you can take on five of them." OoC: Kill five books.

Re: [GOLDENCHAOS] Cain's training
OoC: sounds kool. nice intruiging idea, there.
BiC: Ahab was surprised when the book shot forward, snapping it’s teeth loudly, the green covering gleaming sinisterly. He didn’t have time to get his desert eagles out, so he tried to punch the book when it got close. He realized his dumb mistake a second to late, and his hand made contact with the snapping teeth. He yelled in anger as the teeth scraped over his knuckles, leaving bloody cuts all over his fist. He pulled out a desert with his uninjured hand and blasted the book for all he was worth. The book was punctured in several places, but did not slow it’s bitter assault. It came back at him, but this time, Ahab had both desert eagles out, and unleashed their fury on it’s binding. The book howled in pain as it was struck with the torrent, and tried to duck under the bullets. For a brief second, Ahab missed a few shots at the book, but lowered his guns and fired more. But the book was not going to slow, even with all the holes in it. It flew directly at Ahab’s heart, snapping loudly, eager to bite. Not wanting to get bitten again, Ahab put his desert eagles back, and drew out his sword. The book was surprised. It had expected him to be just a gunman, but apparently he had skills with a sword? Kyrias was surprised to see this too when he came back over to the duel and saw Ahab fending the hungry book off with a sword. Ahab fought bitterly with it for a second, until finally he managed to seize it by the binding and rip through the center of the cover with the point of the sword. Black ink spurted out of the book in great torrents, some hitting his face. He threw the book onto the floor, and it disintegrated. “Don’t worry, the book will reappear on my shelves in a matter of days,” said Kyrias. He tossed two more books into the air, one purple, the other blue. The purple one stopped in midair, growing long, spindly legs. The blue one grew two small arms, holding swords in each hand. Ahab cursed under his breath. Now this would be a challenge... The blue book flew straight at his head, swinging lethally. Ahab blocked both swords with his own, and when the purple book came to kick him in the side, he whipped out an uzi and blasted it in the binding. Shreds of pages flew out of it, but it was only stunned. As the gunman battled brutally with the sword book, the purple leg book did a flying kick to his head. Ahab ducked just in time to have it crash into the wall behind him loudly, sending a few books down. Ahab took this opportunity to whip his sword around so fast that the sword book could not block it, and was cut across the binding. Ahab brought the uzi up to it’s cover with lightning speed, and squeezed the trigger. As the book hit the floor with hundreds of holes in it, and disintegrated similarly to the green book, Ahab sensed the purple leg book getting up behind him dazedly. He whipped around and drove his sword deep into it’s binding, ripping all the way through it and out the other side. The book disintegrated seconds after this fly forward movement, and Ahab was not surprised when he turned to see two more books flying toward him. As the books approached through the air, Ahab took the one chance he had to quickly reload his uzi. The clip dropped out and hit the floor next to many smoking shells. He slammed a full clip into the gun, cocked it, and pointed up to see that both the new books had the same sharp teeth as the green book. Only these ones were much bigger books, and their teeth were nearly two inches long, and serrated. Ahab desperately did a spin roll to the side, narrowly evading the snapping books. They hit the floor with a thump, but looked up to see Ahab getting to his feet also, looking at Kyrias with a small smile on his face. “You know, you have a sort of sick sense of humor.” Kyrias only smiled back, and folded his arms to watch. Ahab heard the loud snapping, and instinctively leapt into the air. The books were mere inches from biting his ankles when he did this. Cursing for his lack of attention, he put his uzi back into its holder, and pulled his M16 off his back. “Try these on!” he yelled, and pulled the trigger with one hand. The tapping of the gunfire echoed through the study, and the books were rent into pieces by the force of the bullets cutting through them. As the final two books disappeared, Ahab heard small tapping to his left. He whirled around, ready for another attack, but only saw Kyrias, clapping his hands slowly. “Truly amazing. That was spectacular. Excellent work,” he said. Ahab grinned, happy that he had done a good job on his first day at The Dome. |

Re: [GOLDENCHAOS] Cain's training
OoC: Darnit. Blood, why are you in training again? o_o... ehm, I mean... very nice.
BiC: Kyrias was stunned. How could a learning student defeat his books so easily? Was he being made a fool of? Obviously the man who stood before him was something special. Ha had never even sensed anything about this man, about his skills. But it was true, his skills were great. The next step had to be taken a few levels higher for this one. "Alright, Ahab... I've got an assignment for you," Kyrias smiled lightly and fell down into a nearby chair. He began tapping on it's worn and dusty wooden armrests, picking up dust onto his fingers. He looked at the dust for a moment, holding the fingers close to his pupils, and then wiped it off on his shirt. He continued to think, an expression similar matched his face, the thinking face. He closed his eyes... "Teacher...? Tell me what you are thinking, please," He raised an arm, but let it down. It was obvious to him that his mentor was in a trapped isolated state, where he was constantly thinking of a correct assignment. And any moment now he would snap out of it. Right? "Teacher?" he asked again. "Wake up!" But he would not. He waited another day, and still Kyrias did not awake. "Damnit... of all times. I had only just begun training! And he was more then a teacher... he had treated me well, as a friend even. I'll find a cure and wake him up!" OoC: Find the cure! Go throughout the dome and find a special "rare" item that can cure his sleep. Have it be an object you would never expect to cure something like this. Also, make it have an unexpected twist ending.

Re: [GOLDENCHAOS] Cain's training
OoC: sheesh! you've got some unexpected assignments!
BiC: Ahab hurried out of the room into a crowd of warriors. Some were slightly older, and some were much younger. He could sense a tingle of Free Magic in ever single person, yet refrained from talking from them. He had to find Kyrias a cure! He dashed across the main room of the Dome, shoving people aside if need be. His first thoughts were to go to the healer. Surely they would have SOMETHING for his teachers strange trance. He opened the door to the Healing Room, and saw several men and women in a spacious room, carrying bottles of healing potion, syringes, and any other strange contraptions that Ahab had never seen in his living life. He strode up to one, and asked “do you have any sort of cure for a comatose sleeper? My teacher seems just to have gone into a trance, and hasn’t woken up in a whole day...any suggestions?” The Healing woman stared blankly at him, then said “nothing that comes to mind...but you can try the fainting potion here...” she grabbed a small jar from the tabletop near them, and tossed it to him. He caught it with a surprised look, but thanked her all the same. As he turned to leave, he saw the Healer had green hair, and her eyes were tinged yellow...strange... Ahab burst back into the room where Kyrias lay two minutes later, and ran over to him. He opened Kyrias’s mouth up, uncorked the bottle, and poured it all into his mouth. He closed Kyrias’s mouth and tilted his head up. Kyrias swallowed unconsciouly, and lay there, unmoving. Ahab waited anxiously. Surely the Healer hadn’t given him something false? But no, he realized. Kyrias woke with a start, his eyes popping open. But not a second after his eyes opened, there was an explosion of smoke, and he was engulfed. Ahab covered his eyes to protect them from the dust. When the dust cleared, and Kyrias was clearly visible, Ahab gaped in astonishment and wonder... Kyrias was a gorilla! Literally, Kyrias’s human body was completely gone, and all that remained was a gorilla sitting where he had just been. At first, Ahab was uncertain as to what had happened, but then he smelt the faint aroma of Free Magic in the smoke around them, and cursed loudly. The Healer, whoever she had been, had played a joke on him! Kyrias/gorilla opened his mouth, and spoke with slight difficulty, “would you mind explaining to me why I am the shape of an animal?” Ahab told him of whom he had gotten the vile from, and Kyrias cursed loudly. “That was Jormundeur, the false Healer! She’s always playing jokes on people. She never gives the right potion. When you go back, be sure to punch her for me.” “I can’t hit a lady!” protested Ahab. “Whatever, just go and get me the cure!” broiled Kyrias. Ahab couldn’t help but grin at the sight of his great teacher as a gorilla. At his grin, Kyrias tried desperately to supress his own laugh of exasperation, but he laughed all the same. Ahab hurried out of the room, elbowed his way through the crowd once more, and went back into the Healers room. After ten minutes of searching, he finally got the proper awakening potion, and an antidote to Kyrias’s gorilla dilemma. Ahab gave him the antidote first. A similar poof of dust filled the room again, and when it cleared, Kyrias was there, his eyes closed once again. Ahab then fed him the fainting potion, praying that it would work... And Kyrias sat up with a jolt, startling Ahab and making him drop the vile, which shattered on the floor near his feet. Kyrias checked himself, patting his arms and legs, and let out a sigh of relief. Ahab laughed. It had been such a ridiculous thing, and yet it seemed so desperate at the time...it was very strange. He shook his head, and helped Kyrias out of his chair. OoC: How’d ya like the gorilla bit for a twisteroo? *snorts* |

Re: [GOLDENCHAOS] Cain's training
OoC: Very nice. However, I want to point something out to you:
When you use ...'s, you should put a space after it just like you would a comma. For example: Your's: and hasn’t woken up in a whole day...any suggestions? Correct version: and hasn’t woken up in a whole day... any suggestions? Note the space between the "..." and "any". BiC: "Very well done. Now... help me up!" Ahab reached for Kyrias and grabbed his palm, pulling him out of the chair. Though slightly tattered, both Kyrias and the chair, both were fine. "Hrm. That was quite the experience. You wanted your next assignment, right? Well, here it is. Please follow me." Kyrias strode toward the door, grasped the doorknob, and exited the room. Ahab followed behind him eagerly. They were led into a room filled with ice and stones. The floor was extremely slippery, and they were able to spot a few children playing on the ice. The cave was dark and damp, hardly a place for children... Neaby them was a large floor made of pure ice. The ice stemmed downward into the ground for as far as the eye could see... "Your assignment," Kyrias began, "is to remove the ice without means of melting it. No heat shall be used, only your bare hands. Whatever is under the ice floor is yours to keep, or yours to fight. Good luck." OoC: Your assignment is to completely get rid of the ice floor. You cannot crack it in one blast, you cannot use heat to melt it. Think of innovative ways to get rid of the ice. Remember, this floor is EXTREMELY deep.

Re: [GOLDENCHAOS] Cain's training
OoC: Always keeping me on my toes with crazy assignments, arent you!
BiC: Ahab strode forward onto the edge of the ice, looking at the thick sheet. It was at least seventy feet thick, he knew. He tried to peer through the ice. Distorted lines and wavering spots of light flickered in and out of existence, but it was impossible to discern anything because of it’s thickness. Ahab’s first thoughts were to shoot through the ice, but that seemed a touch too primitive. He needed to be resourceful. He needed to use the environment to his advantage... And so, he aimed his Desert Eagle high up at the dark ceiling, aiming for the stalactites hanging from the ceiling. They were wider than him, and over three times as tall. After a few rounds, three stalactites fell swiftly. Ahab stepped back slightly, bracing himself for the floor shaking that would surely happen as soon as the huge sickles made contact with the floor of the cavern... The first stalactite hit the ice patch, and crunched through it, shaking the floor alarmingly. Kyrias clutched the wall for support. The two other stalactites hit the floor seconds afterward, and the whole cavern shook as over twenty feet of the ice splintered, then shattered under the tremendous weight, showering both student and teacher with ice particles. The stalactites were mangled, and littered across the remaining ice in pieces. Ahab looked down at the huge hole he had created, and looked back at Kyrias, a motionless figure watching him quietly. He would not give him help... this was his own assignment. Another idea hit Ahab. He had to use his own skills to remove the ice... he remembered that Kyrias only knew of him as a gunslinger... he did not yet know that he was a Free Magic Mage... Ahab set his Desert Eagle back into it’s holster next to his sheathed sword, and prepared to use Free Magic. Kyrias watched him curious, noting Ahab’s long slow breaths. What was his student up to now? Ahab took one final breath, and spoke out four Master Marks, tracing them in his mind until they gleamed brightly, shining with warm brilliance. He opened his mouth, and breathed out hard. The Free Magic spells flew out of his mouth, the heat blistering his lips from the power it required to cast the Marks. The Spell Marks flew through the air above the ice, trailing a path of golden light, and Ahab jerked his head down at the ice. The Marks shot down into the ice, squirming under the crevice until they disappeared from sight. Kyrias had never seen such means of magic. The magic he knew was much different. This “Free Magic” that Ahab was using was alien to him... where was this Belisaur that he had come from? Ahab watched the ice steadily, his hands outstretched, his fingers writhing, controlling the spell to do his will. Suddenly, the fifty feet of remaining ice lit up, and blew sky high, up out of the hole. It was all in one piece still, and it flew over 100 feet into the air, where it disappeared into the darkness. Ahab and Kyrias counted to ten, and heard a huge muffled smash. Twenty seconds later, tiny sparkling ice particles were raining down softly from the ceiling. Kyrias was amazed. He spoke to his student. “Ahab, what is this Free Magic that you used?” he inquired. Ahab turned to Kyrias, and said simply, “it is the magic that I use. In time, perhaps I can tell you about it.” Then Ahab turned, and leapt into the huge cavernous depths of the hole he had created. He sailed down for a few seconds, then landed lightly in complete blackness, the silence pressing in on him seductively. Ahab muttered a Free Magic charm, and a ball of fire erupted in front of him, illuminating his surroundings. In the center of the cavern sat a chest. It was as high as his waist, and looked very heavy. It was made of thick dark oak wood, and gleamed softly in the flickering light. Ahab found mounds of treasure in there, and thought to himself... Kyrias said that I could keep what is down here... but I don’t need this! I will give it to someone more needy than I. It took Ahab twenty minutes to summon a hovering charm for both him and the treasure chest, but he managed to get he and it up to the main cavern once more, and back to his teacher. OoC: How was that? |

Re: [GOLDENCHAOS] Cain's training
OoC: Great work. Time for something more challenging.
BiC: “Excellent work, my student.” Kyrias glared at Ahab, and then glanced at the large treasure chest at his side. With a greedy look upon his faced he staggered toward the ancient chest with open arms, preparing to open it and see what was inside. He stumbled on the floor, fell, and paused. “What are you doing, sir?” Ahab had bent down and stopped Kyrias in his tracks with his arms and raised an eyebrow, giving him a questioning look. They both stood up. “I want to look inside the chest. Please step aside, student.” Ahab willingly stepped aside, agreeing to let Kyrias look inside the chest. What could he possibly expect to find in there? It was as he had hoped, of course. When he opened the chest, he saw not one, but two Cobalite stones resting on the pile of treasure. Their deep blue glow must have been invisible to Ahab while he resided within the ice, and when he opened the treasure it must have seemed like a blank, empty space due to lack of light. “I must have the stones.” “Those rocks? Sure, have them… but why do you – whoa!” The earth beneath their feet shook as ten foes rose out of the newly broken ice floor. Stalactites fell with loud thuds and the two fighters were forced to cling again to the wall for support. “Quickly, I need those stones! Get them for me, or I’ll be useless to you here!” OoC: Your assignment is to write a paragraph each for each of the ten foes. Define what they look like, and how they fight. Have the fight constantly switch between Kyrias and Ahab. Make sure you use Kyrias as well in this. I want there to be an equal balance of both characters used. Also, note that these enemies are very strong, and will be a challenge for both Ahab and Kyrias, moreso Kyrias at the beginning then Ahab. Have Kyrias get the Cobalite stones and use them to finish the battle. Have Ahab teach Kyrias a new Magic in order to defeat the enemies. This magic will begin at level 4, name it as you wish. When Kyrias uses the stones, his magic power will increase by two, becase there are two stones. The stones are a last ditch effort in order to save their lives. They should not be able to even reach them until the end. Have Ahab sacrafice something inorder to get the stones.

Re: [GOLDENCHAOS] Cain's training
OoC: wow, ill try
BiC: Ahab drew out his sword fiercely, and whirled it around in his fingers, ready to fight against the enemies they now faced. Kyrias likewise took his staff from his back, and held it in front of him, glaring at the things stalking slowly toward them. "The stones aren't enough for these!" said Ahab to Kyrias. "You need to know a Free Magic spell. It's our only chance!" As the demons slowly approached, Ahab quickly showed Kyrias the correct hand gestures and the how to pronounce the words to summon the spell. As soon as Kyrias got the hang of it, both he and Ahab charged forward. The first enemy that Kyrias came to was tall, towering over him in yellowish armor. It had a chain mace in one hand, and a shield in the other. Kyrias held his staff at the ready. The mace was as big as his head, but he was confident that he could hold him off. The monster swung a fist around too fast for Kyrias to react, and punched him hard in the cheek, bruising him rather badly. He groaned, and righted himself, his eyes unfocused. He shook himself with difficulty, and tried to concentrate through the haze of pain. The beast swung the mace around in an arc, and it swept at his legs. Kyrias jumped over the huge ball of spikes, and brought the staff down hard on his enemies skull. He felt it's skull crack underneath the thick wood, and it crumpled to the ground, it's mace slipping from it's hand. Ahab had his sword in one hand, a desert eagle in the other. He was firing periodically between swings at a smaller enemy, but perhaps just as dangerous as Kyrias's. It had horns growing in a curve from it's skull, it's eyes were bright yellow, and it had a long spikey tail that it used for slashing at Ahab. The swings became faster and faster, and he found it difficult to hold off the fury of the swings. Several times he was lashed with the spikes, ripping his arms and legs open. He screamed at the horrible pain that lanced through him, but determinedly battled on with the creature, not giving up. It's tail came around extremely fast, and Ahab had no choice but to shoot it with his desert eagle. The bullet managed to puncture the tip, squirting greenish blood from the wound. The little demonic monster scraemed in anger and pain, and bowed over to the cavern ground, wet from the ice particles. Ahab brought his sword down and severed the things head off before it could react. Kyrias faced two enemies now, both exactly the same. They resembled Wolfos, but were twisted and distorted. Their heads were too small, their bodies too big, and too hairy. The fur around their eyes and chest were reddish, and their claws were serrated, much more dangerous than a traditional Wolfos. They came in on two sides, and Kyrias had to roll to the side as their claws cut the air to ribbons where his face had just been. Knowing that he didn't have the agility to take on both the enemies at once, he called upon the Free Magic spell Ahab had taught him only a minute before. He gritted his teeth, and barked out the chosen marks. They flew from his lips, and he swung his hands around in a windmill fashion, ending it by thrusting his staff forward, channeling the Free Magic through it's shaft. A bright green blast of lightning shot from the tip, and curved through the air, splitting into two parts. It connected to both enemies faces, and in an instant, fried them to ash. Ahab found himself two being double teamed. The enemies facing him, however, were outfitted in such heavy armor that none of their skin showed. Their heads were covered with huge helms, and black holes in the masks represented where their eyes should be. They both had humongous swords nearly as long as he was, and they could swing the weapon around extremely fast. Ahab fought as hard as he could againt the brutes with his sword, cutting at their armor whenever he got a chance. But every time that he struck at the thick metal, the blade tip or shaft glaced off, sending a shower of sparks across the ground, jarring his arms and teeth. He was periodically being slashed across the face with the swords, sending blood mist shooting into the air. He gritted his teeth against the pain, and fought on. Ducking a swing from one of the foes, he took the only chance he knew he had, and hurtled his sword as hard as he could. The tip incredibly struck through one of the eye holes, and the unknown being behind the thick armor dropped the sword, tumbling to the floor loudly, clearly dead. Ahab jumped over the swing of the second one, planted his feet on the sword, ran up the blade, and shot it five times in the eye hole also. As he reloaded the clip quickly, slamming a fresh loaded one into the gun, the second fighter fell to the ground, also dead. After cocking the gun, Ahab ran over and yanked his sword out of the other corpse. The final four monsters were exactly identical, resembling rather normal humans, except for their eyes, which gave them away. Their pupils where clear white, and their iris's were red, with black stripes across them. They all looked at each other, as if planning something, then leapt together suddenly, disappearing into the thin air at the same spot, becoming a small glowing orb of light hanging in the now calm air. Battle ridden, the two warriors, student and teacher staggered to each other, and clasted each others shoulders. They turned to the orb, breathing hoarsely, and watched it steadily. Then the ball extended, growing legs and arms pumping with raw muscle. A head sprouted, and the orb in the center grew into a powerful torso, rippling with powerful abs. The horrible hot-metal stench of Corrosive Magic reached Ahab's and Kyrias's noses, and they wretched. Kyrias did not know the smell, but Ahab knew that the smell signified that this creature was a creature unbound by the laws of Free Magic. It had escaped at the beginning of time and stayed in life, serving under it's own evil. It was extremely powerful, and they both needed each other to defeat it. It towered above them, it's skin deathly white. It lunged forward unexpectedly, and they both dove to different sides, fighting their stomachs and the pain on their bodies. The Corrosive Magic being turned it's head toward Kyrias, it's mouth opening. Red fire spilled out of it, dripping down it's chin in tendrils. The eyes were burning fire, and they pierced the man's soul. Kyrias desperately called upon Free Magic, hollering out the marks at the same time that his student did behind the beast. Lightning flowered at the tips of both staff and sword, and flew through the air, arcing sharply to strike the things head. It screamed in agony, and clutched it's head that was being pummeled with incredible force. When the lightning faded from the weapons, the being dropped to the ground, stunned. Ahab and Kyrias leapt up. Kyrias dashed as hard as he could on his injured legs over to the chest. He whipped it open and seized the stones. Running back to the stunned being, he raised the Cobalite Stones above his head. Ahab was there too, raising his scarlet stained sword above his head. Kyrias looked at him, and nodded, and both struck down at where the things heart should have been. The smell of the horrible evil Magic was unbearable, but when the weapons connected with the dazzling white skin, the smell faded, and the creature let out one last dismayed, unearthly sqeal, before exploding in a pattern of blue and white, white hot fury sweeping through the shaking cavern. Ahab and Kyrias flew backward, and slammed into opposite sides of the cavern. After a few minutes of laying on the ground of the cavern, Ahab and Kyrias managed to pick their aching heads up and look. A huge black crater was smoking in the center of the cavern where the Corrosive Magic being had just been lying. Ahab and Kyrias picked themselves up with all the strength they could muster. The crater was fifty feet wide, and over a hundred feet deep. Putrid fumes wafted from it's center. "Come on," gasped Kyrias to his student, putting the staff across his back and limping toward the exit of the cavern. "Let's get out of here and heal ourselves." "Agreed," said Ahab in a raspy voice, putting his weapons away gratefully. Kyrias still held the stones in his bleeding hands, but pocketed them when they reached the door. When the opened the door, they found a crowd of people clustered around the outside of the door... students and teachers alike wondering what the huge huge ruckus had been. When they saw both student and teacher smoking, blood stained and battle ridden stalking out, they parted, letting them go to the Healing Room to find a way to help their injuries. OoC: Wow! that was freakin awesome! but my fingers hurt. Please say that was good lol. |

Re: [GOLDENCHAOS] Cain's training
Very good, I liked that a lot. I think I'll begin your graduation now... give me a little while, perhaps until tomorrow to make the thread.
A note: Kyrias uses the stones to power up his own magical power, not as a weapon in itself. Destroying the stones would be terrible. I'm going to assume he used them to power up, and then attacked with Ahab >_>... if he didn't use them to power up, he won't be strong enough to face Ahab anyway in graduation. That Free Magic spell is pretty powerful. It's hard to see Kyrias learning such a pwoerful spell at level two. In the interests of how the battle went, it's fine, but for next time assume that his magical strength needed to be higher to learn such an attack. You had a couple things that sounded repetative, but overall, that was great. I'll go make your thread, then... EDIT: I've added the new magics to his list. Your magic spell is "Bolt." http://www.zeldauniverse.net/forums/...d.php?p=337644

Re: [GOLDENCHAOS] Cain's training
kool! i cant wait to fight your character! oh and a note, the Bolt that Ahab taught you, actually isnt very powerful. you should see some of the Master Marks that he uses, the things he can do with them. I'll put up a link to a scene where he uses Master Marks when I find the time. anyway, sorry for the repetitiveness. part of it is because im typing it on my crappy mac. bleah. oh well, im glad you liked it

Re: [GOLDENCHAOS] Cain's training
Heh, take note that "Bolt" is listed as Level 1 Wind. Level 1 generally means not too powerful. But it was stronger then his previous attacks.
![]() Ehm... that's really all that I wanted to say. That, and I'm always so curious as to how you write so well, yet don't talk in good grammar like your writing... heh, so unique you are =P. *post ended, topic basically over anyway, graduation next-ish*
